Dinobot didn't want to waster any energy, so he transformed back to beast mode as soon as Snow Trix went down.
Then he saw that there was another problem- Megatron. If he found out about the connection between the clone and Optimus Primal, he would certainly put the knowledge to terrible use.
Every warrior's instinct he possessed begged for him to charge at the two Predacons standing near the clone and force them away, but one fact stood in his way- the Maximals did need to know how extensive the link was, and Tarantulas was about to find that out for them.
If Dinobot could continue to avoid his and Megatron's detection, he would wait to hear the results of Tarantulas' investigation. If the clone's death could not kill Optimus, then there wasn't any reason not to let the Predacons destroy the clone. He'd even help them make the death quicker. But if the clone's death spelled Optimus', then Dinobot would need to jump in fend off the Predacons by any means necessary.
But even this plan was quickly upset. The clone seemed to heal himself somehow, and then- even worse- Optimus began to act as if he were under someone else's control.
It was time to take a chance. If the clone continued in this manner, and Optimus helped him, then Optimus would almost certainly be killed at some point as well.
Dinobot transformed back to battle mode, his sword already grasped firmly in hand, and then stalked out of hiding in complete silence. He dashed to the clone as quickly as he could, and once he was in striking distance, he swung at the neck, intending to take the head right off.

Cheetor hated water. He absolutely hated it.
Frilla wrote:Think we may need a lift Glowstick.
That was true, but Cheetor hated looking like he needed help too. It was a bad day.
Dabbing a paw tentatively into the spray of the water coming over the edge of the other side of the hole, Cheetor shuddered and quickly retracted his leg.
He looked sideways to Frilla. "Man, if I ever meet up with one of- AAH!"
Cheetor had been leaning too close to the edge, and he slipped, straight down into the cascading water. The next he thing he knew, he'd smashed his head into one of spikes at the bottom, but at least Glowstick had blunted it earlier.
He felt the current pulling him somewhere, and he tried to hold onto the mineral columns around him, but he couldn't resist for long, and he was soon washed into the large dark expanse of another tunnel leading off from the side of the hole.

Ocariner wrote:Same as the mission a while back. We find the craft responsible for emitting the transwarp signature and hail an S.O.S. Also like the last time, we expected you guys to come and attempt to break that up. I was hoping we'd actually be successful this time, that is, until this became an apparent trap.
That seemed reasonable enough to Steelclaw. But it was what Ocariner's answer could lead to that he really wanted to discuss. When Ocariner considered the Predacon resistance he was going to encounter, how had he felt about that resistance, and the 'bots behind it?
But Rattrap's answer cut off any need for him to ask anything more.
Rattrap wrote:Teh! We knew you and your Predhead friends wanted yer greedy little hands all over it, so we had ta come an' stop ya's, just like every other time. What're we supposed ta think when Megatron gets a hold of that alien technology? That he's gonna share it? No way, Yogi. So before he steals it and tries killin' us and conquering the universe, we gotta save ourselves and stop him, you, and de rest of the Predascum that just wants ta rule everything with an iron fist. And this right here is exactly what I imagined our mission bein' like taday. Nothin' but aliens, Predacons, and traps.
Steelclaw looked to Ocariner with a raised eye-ridge and motioned his hand quizzically in Rattrap's direction.
"There. I'm not saying we're all a bunch of righteous warriors. There are some in my group I... honestly may have to come to blows with at some point.
"And you aren't going to hear me say that 'conquering the universe' is something to aspire to, because frankly, it isn't. But I know what I'm fighting for, and I'm not going to have reservations about it any more than the rest of you.
"But in the end, what am I going to do about what you, or some of you, think of us? In the end, I'm also standing in your way as much as your are in mine. One side is going to lose."
Rattrap wrote:Welp, we got another problem, guys.
"Hey- maybe both sides," Steelclaw corrected himself. "But that's why I say we have to accept the misconceptions. This is a war. Unless you Maximals think you're going to convince Megatron to call a peaceful truce- believe me, it won't happen- understanding one another will only be at the service of battlefield tactics and emotional turmoil. We may as well not hate each other, but it's not going to change how things go down."
I understand... you are, after all, a predacon.
