"Hm," "Multiply that by ten and you will understand the concern he holds for each of us every day,"
Saber looked away as Tigatron's comment.
"You are welcome, my feline friend," he smiled lightly. "I would avoid putting too much pressure on it before your beast mode can properly repair the damaged joint,"
Saber nodded then flexed claws again. Fear gripped her spark as she heard Optimus cry out.
"Whitegrazer! What has happened?"
"He went to unconsciousness." "Optimus can't take much more punishment. We have to find a way to severe the link."
But how? Saber wanted to ask.
"Whitegrazer... I..."
Saber's pricked forward as she heard Optimus' voice again.
"I can't..." "Put... Stasis lock,"
"Optimus!" She cried as she watched Optimus vanish into the woods.

She went to go after him but severe pain shot up her once dislocated shoulder.

"Agh!"

She stumbled to the ground her claws digging into the ground as she waited for the pain to stop.
"The enemy of my enemy is my bro."

Dinobot didn't want to waster any energy, so he transformed back to beast mode as soon as Snow Trix went down.

Then he saw that there was another problem- Megatron. If he found out about the connection between the clone and Optimus Primal, he would certainly put the knowledge to terrible use.

Every warrior's instinct he possessed begged for him to charge at the two Predacons standing near the clone and force them away, but one fact stood in his way- the Maximals did need to know how extensive the link was, and Tarantulas was about to find that out for them.

If Dinobot could continue to avoid his and Megatron's detection, he would wait to hear the results of Tarantulas' investigation. If the clone's death could not kill Optimus, then there wasn't any reason not to let the Predacons destroy the clone. He'd even help them make the death quicker. But if the clone's death spelled Optimus', then Dinobot would need to jump in fend off the Predacons by any means necessary.

But even this plan was quickly upset. The clone seemed to heal himself somehow, and then- even worse- Optimus began to act as if he were under someone else's control.

It was time to take a chance. If the clone continued in this manner, and Optimus helped him, then Optimus would almost certainly be killed at some point as well.

Dinobot transformed back to battle mode, his sword already grasped firmly in hand, and then stalked out of hiding in complete silence. He dashed to the clone as quickly as he could, and once he was in striking distance, he swung at the neck, intending to take the head right off.

Cheetor hated water. He absolutely hated it.
Frilla wrote:Think we may need a lift Glowstick.
That was true, but Cheetor hated looking like he needed help too. It was a bad day.

Dabbing a paw tentatively into the spray of the water coming over the edge of the other side of the hole, Cheetor shuddered and quickly retracted his leg.

He looked sideways to Frilla. "Man, if I ever meet up with one of- AAH!"

Cheetor had been leaning too close to the edge, and he slipped, straight down into the cascading water. The next he thing he knew, he'd smashed his head into one of spikes at the bottom, but at least Glowstick had blunted it earlier.

He felt the current pulling him somewhere, and he tried to hold onto the mineral columns around him, but he couldn't resist for long, and he was soon washed into the large dark expanse of another tunnel leading off from the side of the hole.

Ocariner wrote:Same as the mission a while back. We find the craft responsible for emitting the transwarp signature and hail an S.O.S. Also like the last time, we expected you guys to come and attempt to break that up. I was hoping we'd actually be successful this time, that is, until this became an apparent trap.
That seemed reasonable enough to Steelclaw. But it was what Ocariner's answer could lead to that he really wanted to discuss. When Ocariner considered the Predacon resistance he was going to encounter, how had he felt about that resistance, and the 'bots behind it?

But Rattrap's answer cut off any need for him to ask anything more.
Rattrap wrote:Teh! We knew you and your Predhead friends wanted yer greedy little hands all over it, so we had ta come an' stop ya's, just like every other time. What're we supposed ta think when Megatron gets a hold of that alien technology? That he's gonna share it? No way, Yogi. So before he steals it and tries killin' us and conquering the universe, we gotta save ourselves and stop him, you, and de rest of the Predascum that just wants ta rule everything with an iron fist. And this right here is exactly what I imagined our mission bein' like taday. Nothin' but aliens, Predacons, and traps.
Steelclaw looked to Ocariner with a raised eye-ridge and motioned his hand quizzically in Rattrap's direction.

"There. I'm not saying we're all a bunch of righteous warriors. There are some in my group I... honestly may have to come to blows with at some point.

"And you aren't going to hear me say that 'conquering the universe' is something to aspire to, because frankly, it isn't. But I know what I'm fighting for, and I'm not going to have reservations about it any more than the rest of you.

"But in the end, what am I going to do about what you, or some of you, think of us? In the end, I'm also standing in your way as much as your are in mine. One side is going to lose."
Rattrap wrote:Welp, we got another problem, guys.
"Hey- maybe both sides," Steelclaw corrected himself. "But that's why I say we have to accept the misconceptions. This is a war. Unless you Maximals think you're going to convince Megatron to call a peaceful truce- believe me, it won't happen- understanding one another will only be at the service of battlefield tactics and emotional turmoil. We may as well not hate each other, but it's not going to change how things go down."
I understand... you are, after all, a predacon.

((OOC:  CC is not going to be put down that easy...and oh dang, he can do that with that link? Holy crap! XD This is getting interesting! I'm feeling better now! YAY! XD))
Optimal Optimus Primal wrote: Meanwhile - when "Clear Convoy's" connection electricuted Tarantulas - the sensation awoke Optimus. Gasping in the sudden pain, the sudden rude awakening, he grabbed his neck with one hand and growled in his throat although there was nothing there to indicate what was causing the agony. Leaning up on his right elbow, which indicated that he felt no more pain to his right arm and shoulder, he looked to Whitegrazer in fear. Fear of the unknown. Fear as if he were drowning in the deep, dark ocean and couldn't reach the surface. "Whitegrazer... I..." Primal tried speaking. "I can't..." He grabbed his chest when he felt something highly unusual inside. "Put... Stasis lock," he struggled incoherently. Briefly bowing his head with his marked up chin, he looked back up with his optics now glowing the purest bright white instead of his normal dark red color with brighter red pupils, and his mouth plate closed, shielding his mouth. Lowering his hand from his chest, he stood up, ignoring the female Maximal before him, and began walking toward the clone, Tarantulas and Megatron, leaving Whitegrazer and Valkyrie without another word, and exiting the forest.
Whitegrazer was getting worried from his unresponsive state, seeing as he wasn't in stasis lock which was very weird, but Optimus woke up, holding his throat, "Optimus!" He was using his right shoulder and didn't see to be in pain when he did but the look of fear in his optics, it was a justified fear. Their leader was linked to the clone and anything could happen. She hoped that the link didn't pull any new tricks on them all.

"We will figure this out, Optimus." She said to try and calm him down. She listened as he tried to speak but everything came out like he was choking or couldn't place the words he wanted to say to them. She tried to decipher what he was trying to tell her, "You can't be put in stasis lock?" There was no acknowledge as she saw his optics turn a bright white. What was going on? She watched as Optimus just walked past them out of the forest, "Wait!"
With Megatron still holding him down, he came up with a plan. Looking over as the Vok noticed Optimus coming, doing as he was told through their link, the clone narrowed his white optics, sending him the command.

Approaching the two Predacons from behind using the element of surprise, Primal lifted his right arm and fired twice at Megatron's back with his wrist cannons, continuing on his walk toward them. The command received was to get the Predacon leader off of the Vok clone.
He can control him through the link?!

She raced towards Optimus, who was shooting at Megatron. This new development could complicate things. Right now, though, she was focused on keeping her comrades and their leader safe. Even if it means using herself as a shield.

"Does anyone have any idea where we're going?"he asked, feeling a bit anxious.
"If this is an underground alien site, the aliens will no doubt leave a way out. They seem to enjoy toying with us."

I wonder if there is more than a cave. Maybe an underground temple or pyramid? Blackarachnia thoughts kept her occupied from Terrorsaur and Scorponok's little problem

Blackarachnia motioned for Terrorsaur to light a certain part of the wall as he was rubbing his tentacle arm. From what it looked like, it was some sort of craving. It wasn't a mark but a drawing of some sort.

"Interesting."

Icebreaker raised an optic ridge listening to the two Sounds rough..So I guess you two are more like soldiers then. He then stopped as he noticed a trap ahead, then pulled out a small nut and tossed it towards the trap sensor, the floor suddenly shifted into an incline like slide sending the group down suddenly What the..?!

___________________

Glowstick watched as Terrorsaur helped Scorponok through the water, at least he'd made some use of that arm. He then noticed Wintersong in the water and heard Frilla Alright ladies.. I'll bring you across-- he stopped midsentince as he watched Cheetor get sucked into the hole, he sighed. His feeder tentacles shot into the water pulling Wintersong out of it as he floated towards Scorponok and the others setting the tiger down.

Glowstick looked towards Wintersong Now stay here and don't do ANYTHING. Geez.. No wonder you Maximals wanted our help, left to your own devices you're more dangerous to yourselves then we are to you! Not a bad battle strategy really.. he then floated towards Frilla and Venatrix, looking down he couldn't see any sign of Cheetor, assuming he was probably washed away. Well.. So much for Spots. Let's go ladies. He wrapped his arms around Venatrix and Frilla lifting them up onto his shoulders, then started to float back to the rest of the group. He then thought to himself "Now here we go, one of them is going to try to guilt trip me into going after Blondy.."

Tarantulus was taken by surprise as the electric current surged through the wire and the device, then sent him flying back into stasis lock.

Megatron let out a low growl as he watched the clone seem to regenerate it's damage, such an unusual power. He was then knocked forward from the surprise attack from Optimus, but matched to catch his footing. He didn't even seem that much damaged by the attacks. He twisted his body looking towards Optimus with a scowl You've clearly lost it this time Primal!-er.. Dinobot? he then looked rather surprised seeing Dinobot lunge for the Clone.

Frilla shook her head as she was lifted but glance back,"Cheetor!" But she saw no signs of the cheetah and couldn't see any way to help her teammate. There could be several networks of tunnels and trying to go after him would make them even more lost then ever. Though the frilled lizard glanced towards Wintersong having a bad feeling the tigeress might think otherwise.

---------------------------

Feralnight looked towards where the clone was and saw things were getting worse when Megatron approached and had the clone trapped, at least for a short time until somehow he started to heal himself and like the others watched a bit shocked. As the fuzor quietly moved closer she caught sight of Optimus and wondered what her leader was doing surprised when he suddenly fired upon Megatron and Dinobot revealing himself to try and attack the clone.

"Might as well help."She muttered and Feralnight ran from the trees aiming her shoulder cannon towards Taratulas and Megatron hoping to distract them. But aerial support wasn't going to be of use until her wigs could be repaired or her beast mode help with that later.

When Glowstick picked her up Wintersong growled a bit but let him set her down though she looked back when suddenly seeing Cheetor disappear into the hole from before."Cheetor!"She called but it was useless not knowing if he could be helped or not and looked towards Glowstick."We have to go after him."Wintersong said concerned for her teammate and Frilla's look didn't exactly help. But she thought of the squid not telling her to do anything and of being reckless in the past, well it seemed she was going to have to just deal with being scolded later,"Sorry squid I'm not leave a friend here to possibly die." She growled and grabbed the wrench,"I'll give this back later." She added before diving in, letting the current take her while avoiding slamming into the tunnel walls and was pulled down into the whole slamming into some of what was once spikes before being sucked into the next tunnel Cheetr had disappeared into shortly before.

Orcariner listened to Rattrap's rant. While a bit more extreme in his dislike for Predacons than the orca was, Rattrap basically had everything down. While the black bear seemed to be an exception, Orcariner's experience with the other faction was often filled with negativity. One moment that particularly stood out in his memory banks was returning home only to find out that Nightmist's body was torn in half by the Predacon whose life he had spared earlier. Orcariner wondered if she was one of the teammates Steelclaw may "come to blows with" sometime in the future. The part of the latter's explanation where he stated that conquest was not an interest also peak Orcariner's interest.

"I'll hold you to it," he replied in response to that.
Rattrap wrote:Welp, we got another problem, guys.
Looking ahead, Orcariner raised his sword and asked their point guard.

"What do you see?"

Airazor's voice was heard up ahead.
WorpeX wrote:"What do we do now?"

"Splitting up might be the best option. One of these passages could lead to the exit!"
"Splitting up?" Orcariner murmured.

It dawned to him that she was referring to a fork up ahead. Without a map, it was impossible to tell which path would lead to safety and which would lead to destruction. However, Orcariner was not so keen on the idea of breaking up the group. He would have loved to leave the presence of the Predacons, but something inside of him told him that such a decision would be sparkless. They were trapped here as a group and they've worked together as a group thus far. Orcariner was responsible for their well-being and safety. With that being said, he replied to the two scouts up ahead.

"We shouldn't divide ourselves. Radio communication is dead down here so even if one group makes it to safety, it would be impossible to achieve contact with the other. We've handled ourselves pretty well this far and we'll find a way to beat anything that tries to stop us from getting to the surface."

Walking up to the two as he spoke, Orcariner finally reached the split path and extended his arms so that both hallways were illuminated. The light was unable to reach far enough and darkness was all that was visible on both ends. Sighing, he looked at Rattrap.

"Well then, master of traps," he said, "Which direction does your instinct tell you to go?"

((OOC: I was running out of time at the end of making my post last night, and I couldn't really think of how to have Steelclaw respond to Airazor. Just thought of what to say today...))

Most of the tunnel was dark, but Cheetor occasionally swept by a ring of light set up along the interior. Suddenly, the current slammed him onto a gravelly bank, and he rolled a few times before coming to a stop.

Cheetor coughed up water violently, and then stood weakly on all fours, straining against the water damage and the injuries he'd taken earlier that day. A trickle of synthetic blood from his beast mode went down over his eye, and he carefully put his head in the water in front of him to wash it way.

"Cheetor, maximize," he said quietly.

He hunched over slightly as he took in the area around him. Across from him was a large opening which fed the river running along the tunnel he was now in- it was from this opening that he himself had come. The tunnel itself had slight curve to it, and was lit periodically with small blue lanterns, perhaps fueled by an energy he had never even heard of. The walls, ceiling and banks all seemed to be made of dirt and clay.

Cheetor wasn't a geologist, but he figured this tunnel may have been formed naturally before the aliens took to modifying it.

He wasn't sure where to go next, but there wouldn't be any going back up the tunnel he'd come down. So he took off at a strange, limping trot alongside his bank, keeping an eye out for any trap marks.

He didn't get far around the bend before he saw the end of the tunnel: it was a sloping mound of dirt- a dead end. So he turned around and started heading back to where he'd come from.

* * *
Ocariner wrote:I'll hold you to it.
"I'll hold me to it," Steelclaw nearly growled. He could handle the condescension to a point (though his meet up with Whitegrazer had proven it was only to a point), but would the Maximals not at least allow him to look after his own moral well being? There was only one 'bot on the planet that needed to hold him accountable to anything.
Airazor wrote:What do we do now? Splitting up might be the best option. One of these passages could lead to the exit!
"I don't like it," Steelclaw replied. "We've only got so much light and so many resources for fending off the traps in here. I think we stand a better chance with those resources consolidated. Ocariner, if you want to head to the transwarp signature... where's it coming from?"
I understand... you are, after all, a predacon.

The Maximal did not respond to the quiet remark coming from behind him. Being once part of a military organization, he knew that everyone had to be held accountable for their actions. Perhaps it was this mentality which was constantly drilled into his processor that he found annoyances with more free-spirited teammates who often wandered about without permission. He was often told that such individuals who practiced inconsistency in their actions were also inconsistent in their convictions. While present with a few Maximals on the Axalon, Orcariner noticed it was prevalent with the opposing faction. They were always running loose, and the fact that they were mentally unstable at the same time seemed a bit too much to be considered coincidental. By placing much significance on the concept of accountability, Orcariner often reminded himself with the question, "What would Optimus do?". It kept him in line with what he believed to be the epitome of Maximal ideology coming from a good role model. Maybe it was the difference in age and experience that led to this particular Predacon had no one to look up to other than himself. The orca pondered what would happen to him once he had reached a similar age or perhaps become a commanding officer one day with no one other than himself giving orders on how to act or behave. Would he be able to keep himself in check?

Hearing Steelclaw's question, Orcariner's checked his blank map that had only a minor blue ripple ahead.

"The signature is neutral," he replied, "Neither direction seems to favor a path. The best we can do now is guess."

(( OOC:  at Megatron. I love that t-rex. ))
"Optimus!" "We will figure this out, Optimus."
Optimus had heard Whitegrazer but couldn't respond. It was like he was trapped in his own body. He couldn't control his movements. He was being used like a puppet. He did everything he could think of to stop whatever the alien was doing to him, but he was unsuccessful. However, the leader had faith in his crew to figure it out and solve this highly problematic occurance.
"You can't be put in stasis lock?"
Quite the opposite, actually, but his words came out wrong. He wanted her to put him into stasis lock, assuming it would stop the alien from controling him, because now both Primals were double the threat. His clone could make him harm his own teammates; his friends.
"Wait!"
"Optimus!"
Primal continued walking toward Megatron, ignoring Whitegrazer and Saber-Fang's pleas. Tarantulas was out cold. One less Predacon to worry about.
You've clearly lost it this time Primal!-er.. Dinobot?
The Maximal leader's head turned in Dinobot's direction. Ordered to fire upon any threats through their link, no matter how much Optimus fought it, he was forced to target Dinobot with his wrist-mounted cannons and fire at him just as he came within his chance to strike the clone. This showed the extent of influence that the alien had over the leader who would never dare harm his own crew members. This was a serious problem.

With Megatron's foot off of him, the Vok grabbed his sword on the ground and rolled out of the way across the grass. Leaping to his feet, he stood in a battle-ready pose and armed the left side of his shoulder-mounted missiles; the tentacles failed to repair the right side of his missile lancher from Glowstick's earlier attack. Not to mention, he could only use that healing technique once. It was more of a test than anything else.

Activating his own missiles, Optimus targeted Megatron and fired one of them at him while he approached him. "Clear Convoy" was trying to doom both of them. If Megatron took the bait, he'd be battling Primal to the bitter end. The Vok would then continue battling Dinobot, Feralnight, and whoever else dared to stand in his way.

(( OOC: Where did the rest of the Predacons go? Me thinks Megs is going to need their help before he gets tag-teamed. Unless, of course, he'd rather work with a bunch of Maximals to stop the alien menace.  Mwahaahahaha! ))

-----
"He went to unconsciousness." "Optimus can't take much more punishment. We have to find a way to severe the link."
By the Matrix. Things sounded like they were progressively getting worse. Tigatron was eager to help his comrades now.
"Agh!"
"Take it easy, Saber-Fang," Tigatron said calmly to her. "Rest here. I will see to the others." Although it was unlikely she would comply to his words. With that, the tall and lean Maximal reverted to his beast mode and snuck off swiftly through the forest in hopes to flank those in the clearing and observe what was happening before calculating his own plan in assisting his comrades.

-----
"There. I'm not saying we're all a bunch of righteous warriors. There are some in my group I... honestly may have to come to blows with at some point.
Yeah right, thought Rattrap. If Megajerk heard any of this, he'd blast Steelclaw's head clean off for treachery.
"And you aren't going to hear me say that 'conquering the universe' is something to aspire to, because frankly, it isn't. But I know what I'm fighting for, and I'm not going to have reservations about it any more than the rest of you.
It was still difficult for Rattrap to accept that the bear was being honest about that and his involvement with the Predacons.
"But in the end, what am I going to do about what you, or some of you, think of us? In the end, I'm also standing in your way as much as your are in mine. One side is going to lose."
Well, it ain't gonna be us losin', the rodent said in his mind. 'Cause I wanna go home!
"Hey- maybe both sides," "But that's why I say we have to accept the misconceptions. This is a war. Unless you Maximals think you're going to convince Megatron to call a peaceful truce- believe me, it won't happen- understanding one another will only be at the service of battlefield tactics and emotional turmoil. We may as well not hate each other, but it's not going to change how things go down."
All right. Maybe the bear had a point there. Wait. What was Rattrap thinking?! You can't trust Predacons! ...At least most of them. Steelclaw sounded... complicated. What DID the guy want if not world domination?
"What do we do now?" "Splitting up might be the best option. One of these passages could lead to the exit!"
Rattrap didn't answer Airazor right away. He stood upright part way with his front paws curled in toward his chest and excessively sniffed the air with his nose sticking up high. He was looking for a wiff of fresh air from either tunnel that could potentially lead them outside.
"We shouldn't divide ourselves. Radio communication is dead down here so even if one group makes it to safety, it would be impossible to achieve contact with the other. We've handled ourselves pretty well this far and we'll find a way to beat anything that tries to stop us from getting to the surface."
The rat understood Airazor's suggestion but he had to agree with Orcariner. As the orca approached them, his illuminated swords shined more light into both tunnels. It didn't travel far but at least now Rattrap could look for any of those weird markings that usually led to nasty traps. He didn't see anything visable at either entrance.
"I don't like it," "We've only got so much light and so many resources for fending off the traps in here. I think we stand a better chance with those resources consolidated. Ocariner, if you want to head to the transwarp signature... where's it coming from?"
"The signature is neutral," "Neither direction seems to favor a path. The best we can do now is guess."
So, this Predacon actually had some brains and could think for himself? That almost impressed Rattrap. Almost. Avoiding causing anymore trouble than they were already in, the rat kept his mouth shut and focused on the tunnels. Rhinox and Waspinator had been awfully quiet, though. Did they lose them back there somewhere?
"Well then, master of traps," "Which direction does your instinct tell you to go?"
"Up," Rattrap said as a wise crack. "But since we can't do that, I say we go this way." He got back down on all fours and started waddling down the tunnel that broke off from the main one they had been traveling in. "I think I smell better news dis way, but it's faint. Really faint."
"Well, that's just prime!"

Whitegrazer saw who Optimus was aiming it. She quickly did the only thing she could at the moment and that was tackle him to the ground. Her jump was alittle short but it still was enough to knock him down with her arms around his legs

"Sorry about that." She apologized to Optimus but then she realized that Optimus wasn't defenseless. Her eyes widened a bit. Primus! Wrist cannons! She struggled upward to crawl and grab his hands to ground them before he could take a shot at her.((OOC: Gives him a chance to get a shot at Whitegrazer. XD))

You were trying to tell me to put you in stasis lock, weren't you Optimus? she thoughtly grimly, looking back at Optimus.

"Okay. Again, sorry." She apologized as she attempted to at least knock him out...well because of her style, he wouldn't feel a thing. ((OOC: Another chance to get a handle on her. XDD))

((OOC: I totally forgot his wrist cannons when I was writing this response. XD I had to make fun of myself because I did the same thing. Wide eyes part anyway. Not going to tackle my computer XD))

I was just going to have him chill out for a bit and rejoin with him later. lol I didn't really like the direction I was going with him. Haven't really decided what I want him to do yet. If I were to stay true to his character, it would require attacking Sonar, but at this point in the RP it just wouldn't really be any fun and would be pointless. So, he probably wont. Feel free to skip him and move on. ))

Starshadow and Cecaelia just screamed as they fell. They were sliding down pretty quickly. Primus knows where the path would lead them to.

"WHAT IS THIS?! A PLAYGROUND FOR TRESPASSERS?" Cecaelia shouted as she held Starshadow with all of her tentacles.

"NOT A PLAYGROUND BUT A RIDE OF NIGHTMARE!!" Starshadow shouted back in reply while holding the penguin.

As the group made their way down the slide, they noticed it seemed to twist and go down further down then expected. Icebreaker tried to slow the group down with his hands, but simply formed some sparks from grinding metal. As they came down to the bottom of the tunnel, they fell out into the underground river. Icebreaker blinked looking around as he noticed they were suddenly underwater, then grabbed onto Star and Cecaelia moving up towards the surface. Coming to the surface he looked around surprised, then had his visor slide down as he noticed the gravely shore starting to move towards it. Huh.. Now where the heck are we.. ?

As he came to shore, he suddenly noticed Cheetor What the.. Cheetor, is that you?

Glowstick set Frilla and Venatrix down, he looked back towards the water shaking his head. Great.. well so much for that.. Can't return a wrench if your dead. he then muttered, then floated towards the rest of the group lighting up the hallway So.. shall we continue then?

Megatron ducked as the missile was knocked off course from Whitegrazer's tackle on Optimus, the white optics between the two was clearly strange. He looked towards the clone swinging his T-rex head forward as he spoke up Full of tricks are we? Well so am I! a fusion cannon blast expelled from the mouth of his t-rex head towards the clone's torso. Maximals.. I will only say this once. Keep your leader disposed unless you want him dead, as for this creature.. It's presence poses no value to me.. I will simply destroy it.

(Heh, need the other Predacons? Maybe, but with all the chaos happening, that might not be a big problem. :P )

Rhinox watched as the others went back on forth in their discussion, he then stopped and looked towards Rattrap. I'd say his nose knows..Let's go.
