Part of the original crew of the Maximals, Cheetor was the youngest of the Beast Warriors, perhaps a comparison to a teenager in our years. Full of energy, Cheetor was reckless and often got himself into trouble when he went ahead without thinking or tried to prove something to his comrades. He saw Optimus Primal as a father figure and was trying to impress him, although in doing this he often did more harm than good! Cheetor went through three changes. He changed to his first cheetah form in season 1, and then went transmetal along with Rattrap and Optimus in season 2. As a transmetal, Cheetor had the power of flight which eventually he mastered. This added to his capabilities as a warrior, although Cheetor's strength lay in his speed. Headstrong and stubborn, Cheetor defied, once again, an order from his leader in the episode 'Feral Scream'. He went alone to rescue a blank stasis pod that Megatron had taken. Depth Charge got there first. Cheetor arrived and gave him back-up fire, but when he flew up to retrieve a strange transmetal driver that Megatron had used to create Transmetal 2 Dinobot out of the stasis pod, he was shot. Megatron's shot pushed Cheetor into the electric charge between the alien transmetal driver and two probes and there was a great explosion. Depth Charge came back to base and reported what had happened to Cheetor. For a time, everyone feared he might have been destroyed, although a frantic search party ensued. Cheetor had been caught in the overload and throughout the two-part episode, he struggled with the slow and painful process of becoming Transmetal 2. He did this mostly alone, although soon her could no longer hide the changes from Optimus and while they were walking through the forest, he began to explain when suddenly they were attacked. Furious, Cheetor finally became wholly Transmetal 2 and attacked the offender (Transmetal 2 Dinobot) proving how his new body held great strength and power. The fight was interrupted by Rattrap and Silverbolt, but one was left feeling that there was little between the two in strength and agility. Cheetor remained with the Maximals right until the end of the Beast Wars. He was loyal, if a little irritating at times, but all in all a good Maximal who grew and matured throughout the show.
