Pictures coming soon to a BWINT page site near you. ;)

SATURDAY, Sept. 23rd

I woke up at 9am… because if I left at 9am my Nana would've be ready to call therapy… got my things together and headed to the Via Rail scheduled for Ottawa. I got to the station at about 10:50am, one hour before we were to be seated and one and a half hours before the train left so I had time to lounge/walk around, mindlessly listening to my music… maybe I should skip this part…

Anyways, at 11:50am, (I had by then figured out that there already was a line up to the platform my train was on) I lugged my very heavy case up the stairs, yes stairs as if they didn't think 'oh, maybe we should install an escalator going up for these poor guys', got inside the train and got to my seat. Window seat: YAY ^^.

After the fourth stop, apparently the train wasn't just for Ottawa passengers, I noticed that I must have annoyed my seat mate with my constant writing, getting up for bathroom breaks (He was doing that one too Slaggit!) and paranoia resulting in me thinking 'wait what if someone took my case' (I'm a nomad, I'm sorry) because he moved to a now-vacant seat. Then we made it to our final destination… took long enough.

Tip #1: check to see what kind of bus fare the town you're visiting has! I realized that too little too late, but the driver, seeing that I was a visitor, was very nice about it. After taking two busses and somehow screwing up the directions Varyn e-mailed me weeks before, I found myself wondering back and forth around places that became familiar overtime (just like home ^^). It was when I was on the phone with my mom that I noticed these three girls walking up to me (O_O). One of them with what I had thought was an English accent asked me if I was Wicked Woman. I knew then that they were friends. They introduced themselves as Sapphire, Varyn and Nurann.

After assuring them that I could still move one, after they found out I walked around the area for about 2 hours, not their fault, mine, we went to the Greyhound station and waited to Starath to arrive. I bought a drink, because it would sustain me for a bit and then Starath arrived with hugs for all. We then went back to the Nature's Bed and Breakfast (I urge you go there if you're ever in Ottawa) where Starath and I dropped off our luggage and went to the Elephant Pup were we ate and talked and took pictures :-D. We then went for a walk before heading back and going to sleep.

Sunday, Sept. 24th
We woke up at around 9 or 10 the next morning, got ready, had breakfast and headed outside for some episode acting or role-playing whichever you're familiar with, when we realized that we didn't have any scripts! Varyn took us to a cybercafé were Sapph printed out some scripts and a couple of fanfics. We also got a chance to check our e-mails, messages from the forum and fanfic sites for any updates we then headed out again and, after getting sugar sugar sugar, we walked around for lunch, imagine that.

After lunch, we went to the mall to pick up a few things and check out the view. Varyn gave Nurann a piggyback ride and I have pictures to prove it (coming soon I promise). Varyn then took us all over Ottawa and showed us where the museum she wanted to take us was. It was starting to get late so we couldn't go then but we did check out a great view while the sun set and looked at the memorial that had been there with the recent victims of the war's names on plates. We took a look at the cat temple nearby then went home to watch some Beast Wars, when the computer had a heart attack after seeing Rampage act all scary in Bad Spark… and then when Cheetor landed and transformed in the same episode, we listened to Sapph read "Release" then went to sleep. I think candy and chocolate was our dinner that day.

Monday, Sept. 25th

We went back to the cybercafé so I could transfer some money into my account. We then saved some files onto Sapph's flash key so we didn't have to print more things. After that, we went to get lunch, went to several comic stores to look at the Transformers stuff, among other things (Nurann got DinoBot and Varyn got Rattrap!!). We then went to the toy store at the mall and Varyn bought a parachute army guy. Sapph put a BWINT card in the army guy's are and Varyn let it plummet over the mall building… only to have us watch it plummet to the ground with out the parachute opening. Last time we try that on a not-so-windy day huh?

We went to the park where we finally did some role-playing. Nurann recorded it all, especially when they were out of character. It's posted here at the forum. We finally when to the museum in Hull Quebec and it was pretty good.

Tip #2: Ask about Portions when you're in a Pub! After realizing we were all hungry, and how expensive it was in Quebec, we went to the Elephant Pub and got food. But we were all surprised when we got our meals, and then some. Boneless chicken and thin chips with our orders we all enjoyed our meal and Varyn found herself a new drinking partner. After dinner we went back to the bed and breakfast, listened to Starath read part 4 of her Connection series and went to bed.

Tuesday, Sept. 26th

We all woke up at about 8:30am, so we could try and watch some more Beast Wars, but we then decided against it, knowing me I'd probably miss my train :-/. We took Starath to the Greyhound station first and Sapph and I bid our goodbyes, Varyn had to take Nurann to her rendezvous place and said goodbye earlier, but not before talking about any possible future Botcon visits.

We then headed back to the Bed and Breakfast one final time to get the rest of our luggage. We paid the owners, Sapph helped with mine (Thanks J), and we headed for the bus stop and said our farewells as I was heading to the Via Rail station. When my train came I got on and headed home.

Tip #3: Make sure you have money for your trip and if you do, don't put it in another account if you don't know the holding policies!

All in all it was a great first solo trip out of town, hopefully, Botcon 2007 will be my next trip. Now if only I can get off my butt and get those pics online. I'll just have to really bug my mom to use her scanner when she isn't using her computer. >:).
