In 2005, several members of the site met up for a fun Beast Wars Gathering in Sacramento, California. Together we watched a Beast Wars marathon and generally geeked out. The following year members met up in Ottawa, Canada. That year included the viewing of just a few episodes and the rest was made up of fan fiction readings, role playing (script readings) and exploring the city together as a group. For a number of us, it was the first time we had been hanging out with fellow Beast Wars fans and the general feeling is that it's great fun (and a relief!) to be able to chat about the show you love to your heart's content with others who share that love. This year it's Europe's turn. The 2007 Bwint Gathering will be held at a venue in London (TBA) in the UK, over the dates 22nd of June 'til the 25th of June. It just so happens that five Bwint members will be in London at that time, hence why the dates are earlier this year. It also works out conveniently for those who want to do both the Gathering and Botcon, as Botcon follows three days after that. In keeping with previous Gatherings, the venue will be a hotel somewhere in London and the activities will be suggestions from the members themselves; we can also include some sightseeing. If you'd like to be a part of this fun event, please let me know. I've attended both Gatherings and can honestly say they were terrific and I thoroughly look forward to the next one.
