A BW Video of mine

Unread post by CabooseMoose7103 »

It's one that I mentioned when I first signed up here. I've been working on it on and off for about 6 months now and I finally finished it yesterday.

It's my little tribute to the Dinobots and the work Scott McNeil put into voicing them, but it mainly centers around TM2 Dinobot and his struggle with his identity. I had a lot of fun producing this video, and I hope you'll enjoy watching it. Honestly, I was amazed at how well the music synched up with the animation. I think I used EVERY SINGLE clip showing TM2 Dinobot on the Season 3 DVDs, and when I got done it just seemed like it was made for the song I chose. The video quality isn't what I would like. I had originally rendered it in DV format (DVD quality) and it looked great (crisp, clear, and shtuff), but Google Video didn't like it, so I had to decrease the quality a little.

The song I chose is Only by Nine Inch Nails. It does contain some profanity. So consider yourselves forewarned if you hate that sort of stuff.

I do have one request. If you like it, share it. Post the link in other boards, send a link via e-mail, whatever, pass it on if you like it so others can enjoy it, too. Just don't claim credit for it please, m'kay?

Now, without much further ado, here is my production. Enjoy.

Oh Moose, that's SO cool! It synched up beautifully. You've done an *excellent* job. I'll mention this to all the BW friends I talk to online -- I'm sure they'll love it! Thanks for sharing this with us!

Awesome, awesome, awesome, Moosey! I'm honored to have my handle credited in such a schweet music video. Thank you! *hug*

I noticed a lot of different clips in there from the last draft I reviewed but the final product is great! Good job!!! You rock hard! 8)

Sweet work Moosey!

It is really hard to make a video for characters who are not in it for the entire series because it limits what footage you have available and you end up recycling lots, but you pulled it off brilliantly with the mixing of Rampage and Dinobot into it. Hi five!! :D
It's ok sir. I'll be fine...

TangledInYourWeb:

Thanks! I was a little worried about the syncing, everytime I watched it I would find something new to cringe at. I'm always my toughest critic. :P

Jagna:

Heh, I was amazed at how well some of those clips lined up with the lyrics. I couldn't help but smile when I would find the perfect clip after combing the Season 3 DVDs for hours.

Yeah, youtube is great, but the video windows are always so small compared to Google Video, plus I like the control I have over my videos on Google.

:P Sorry, I'm just such a perfectionist. I like things to look the absolute best they can. So when I have to decrease the quality of something, it bugs me.

Sapphire:

I'm glad to hear it! Thank you very much!

I appreciate it, I don't go to any other TF boards other than BWINT, and not many of my friends are into Beast Wars.

OOP:

:D Now this is a switch, normally I'm the one saying "Awesome awesome awesome" about your work! I'm honored that you took the time to be my beta-viewer. I can't thank you enough for it.

Really? I guess reversing those few clips really made a difference. I didn't put anything new in since the last draft.

Schweet 8)

una:

Many thanks, I worked hard on it!

SilverfromOZ:

Thanks! Yeah, it was hard not to re-use clips. I slipped up in only one spot that I know of. Everything else was a different clip from all the others. Some were similar so I had to flip them horizontally to change the scene up a little.

*high fives back*

I'm contemplating a new project. Something that OOP said got me thinking... I was voicing a concern about the timing of one clip and she said not to worry because I really couldn't do much about it. Unless... I got the original animation files from Mainframe and reanimated them. That got me thinking, why don't I try to do something with an animated character of my own? I'd have to learn how to model what I want, and then animate the sequence, but it could be fun. Perhaps something for the future, eh? Hopefully this one won't take me a year to complete.

Moosey. I may just be falling in love with you all over again at what you are proposing here. You have sparked my interest and got me thinking on a bigger scale. Many people on this forum have many skills, ranging from writing, drawing, modelling and animation. If you were to get into the modelling and animation thing and perhaps there are a few others out there who would be interested in pursuing the same, we could potentially have a small scale animation company in the works. Then take a fan fic, small/large scale, whatever and if we can produce something of sufficient quality, new breath can be blown into the Beast Wars series. Then if we can get an episode/movie together, storm the Hasbro HQ and present them with the concept. Anyone who is interested in this idea please PM me and we can talk it out and see where it leads.
It's ok sir. I'll be fine...

Just listen to your commander, bonebrain!

great idea Moosey!!!!!

oh, the many nights iv dreamed of being able to animate my own beast wars episode...thts kinda how i write my fics, as if they were happening in front of you...alas, it can never be so, as i have not the equipment or the skills needed...yet...maybe a course in it is available if i take film studies as wel as the BA Acting course...hmmm *strokes non-existent beard*

and Silver, its an interesting concept. not only would it be a great ida for the directors to listen to in the first place, but it seems that here at bwint we have...are i say it...connections...loads of people here have met bob and gary and whoever (of which i a insane;y jealous btw) and im sure they'd leap at the idea

Moose, when you say animateyour own models...are you talking about your own designed characters as wel as our own ones??? i had a dream about that once as well...i got my friends to do the voices and the actons i put them to were...funny is the word i would choose...more comical actually. i guess even in my dream it is not meant to be. but i am sue i can chance that...

go for it moose! if any of us can be of any help then by all means ask! i am no good when it comes to internet technicality (ask Sapphire! :? ) but when it comes to other programmes and artistic whatnot im somewhat useful...

lol i love the idea! yay for beast wars international studios! lol

Well, Jagna, I was thinking of starting with some models of my own and trying a few short animations. Then who knows, a fan project could be fun!
