Megatron and Dinobot Brothers?

I know it's a silly concept but think about this for a minute.

Why was Megatron always cloning Dinobot?

Why out of all the traitors he always mentioned Dinobot with much disgust and disbelieve?

I don't know but it's just an opinion?

The first time was to trick the Maximals. He probably had some Dinobot DNA around the base since he was there, so he was the most obvious one to infiltrate the maximal base.

Not sure why he cloned him for the TM2.

My guess is that Dinobot -although a traitor- was a bit more
bettrer at his helping Megatron conquer than any of the
other predacons

well, its an interesting concept, una...
it would seem to be a common feature among brothers to either punched eachother senseless and then drink beer two nanos afterwards,
OR
despise each other for a while, get back to being 'buddies' (maximal no more) and then hate eachother again

i think uv both got a [point there...perhaps megs figured out after code of hero that (this is just POSSIBLY) both sides were at a stalemate, and creating a TM2 dinobot would put the preds at an advantage. which it did, untill along came TM2 cheetor! whoohoo!

Awesome! I'm not the only one who thought that Megs and DB could be brothers. (writing a comedy fic with that issue involved in it)

The cloning thing got me thinking about it too. The first cloning, I agree that Megs would do that strictly for the advantage of taking over the Maximals. Dinobot, in that situation, would be the best candidate to be cloned because he was a former Pred and still relatively new to the Maximals ranks. I mean, the Maximals would probably be able to tell easily that something wasn't quite right.

It's all the other times Dinobot got cloned that made me wonder. Why in the world were the Cyber-raptors, raptors in the first place. Why didn't he make them T-rexes like his own beast mode?

Why would he make a Transmetal clone of Dinobot of all bots, when he knew that DB was a traitor. I personally wouldn't ...well, assuming that I would do such a thing in the first place... clone someone who I knew would betray me. It just doesn't make sense.

*shrugs* DB and Megs just seemed like they knew each other for a long time before the Beast Wars even happend.

... and they both seem to like stealing lines from famous writers! LOL

I just had a thought about why Megs cloned Dinobot for the TM2.. Dinobot was the one failure he had. Megatron strikes me as a perfectionist. Keeping Dinobot in line was like his white whale. He was unable to do it for the real one, so he figured that if he cloned him and made that one submit, it would be like a victory where there was once defeat.

I agree with Insane Galvatron. As for the other Predacon traitors, I feel pretty sure that making another Terrosaur or Tarantulas was NOT in his best interests. DB and Megs may not have been brothers, but they were once friends, that's for sure. DB trusted Megs enough at one point to break all kinds of laws with him to steal the Golden Disk and brand himself a criminal. His betrayal must've shaken Megs to the core, hence the multiple clone attempts.

Why didn't he make the cyber-raptors T-Rexes? Because raptors are smaller, therefore making them easier and faster to build. Raptors are also easier to hide than a giant hulking dinosaur like a T-Rex, and I'm sure Megs picked raptors out of a sense of irony.

TM2 Dinobot was actually a brilliant strategy. Considering that the original pretty much decimated every Predacon on the planet with obselete technology, why not re-create that warrior, but give him cutting-edge weaponry? Also, the shock value alone for the Maximals (not counting those who didn't know him, like DepthCharge) at seeing the new Dinobot was an incredible weapon as well...but the cat was let out of the bag before Megs wanted it to be, thanks to Cheetor/DC.

Once upon a time when I had time for such things I based a fic ( not on paper, in my head) on that. It still seems to me highly likely that Megatron and Dinobot were either brothers or at least had some sort of a history together.
