I apologise to all of you who no doubt leapt on to this thread with wide eyes and much eagerness at hearing about the new Beast Wars movie. Unfortunately, there are no plans for such... or at least none that I know of.
However what I'm proposing with this thread is for people to put forward any ideas they have for a Beast Wars movie. Who would be the best director? Who should write the musical score? What would make a good premise for a script (don't write the script here PLEASE save that for the fanfic section)? Should it be violent or full of firefights where no one gets seriously hurt? Perhaps an alternative to Beast Machines which many fans (and actors) had a problem with?

Here are some ideas I have for a possible BW movie...
Director - Bob Forward
Producer - Bruce Timm(who also worked with Batman:TAS, Superman:TAS, Batman Beyond, and Justice League)
Musical Score - Hmm... I dunno. John Williams, maybe?
Plot/Script - I'm not sure how a plot for the movie should advance but I'd certainly want it to be epic and memorable. Perhaps we could have a bigger threat of Unicron-like proportions as the main enemy of the film. I'm not entirely sure. This is perhaps the most difficult part of any discussion involving how a Beast Wars movie should be done.
Action - I don't see how anyone doesn't want to have intense action for the film. After all, it's called Beast Wars for a reason. I'm not saying it should be full of gore and excessively graphic violence but it should at least stick to its roots that the show established. And those very roots happen to be entranched in a certain degree of intense fighting. Besides, they're all robots anyways. We're all intelligent enough to know that it's not really real and I'm also assuming the same for any young children who may potentially watch the movie. In my opinion, Beast Wars was an action show and it wouldn't do the film any justice if it didn't stick to an action/adventure formula as well.
Beast Machines - If this were rebooted from continuity then... you'll pretty much receive no argument from me. I can't claim to be a huge fan of Gargoyles after the show's first season... but at least Greg Weisman listened to enough fan complaints to remove the show's unpopular third season from official canon and create his own comic book series to carry on the storylines he wanted to do. I don't see why Beast Wars can't receive the same treatment with wiping out Beast Machines from existence.

The Wachowski Brothers were good... but if there's a third movie to the BW franchise, don't let them work on it (jk
)
I'd love to see a BW movie about the Vok or maybe more about the Tripredacus council. Maybe something that could erase Beast Machines from the plot... although remaking Beast Machines is a good idea too.
The Musical score should be done by a genius at action scenes, same with the Producer. Bob Forward and or Larry Ditillio would be great Directors.

Hmm... As for a director, I gots me no clue.
But for a script... It would take place in Beast Machine's place. I'd love to see them bring over the concept of Matrix Shards from Beast Wars Neo. What it is, is basicly the Matrix was divided into fractions, and it was given those who looked like the original Optimus Prime. (I think that's strange, even for an anime XD)
It'd be a similar concept. But instead of giving it to those who simply 'look' like Prime, the Matrix Shards would be presented as a medal of sorts to only the best of the Maximals. And the Tripredacus Council would have some sort of elaborate plot to gain all of the Matrix Shards, and use them for their Awsome Evil Plans™. Ultimately, The Tripredacus Council themselves engage in battle, and show just exactly why they are awsome.
*coughGestaltCombinercough*
Now, I'm the kinda guy who likes to take unexpected turns. So something awsome and unexpected would happen here. But I dunno what, as I haven't thought that far ahead, yet. =P
And as for score... I'd say since it would (presumably) take place on Cybertron, make a neat lil' blend of orchestral and rock, with some techno (Think of The Matrix's OST). 'Cause that's my favorite combo of music.

Is the answer to this question "No"?

Amusingly, this weekend, I just picked up a copy of the Special Edition Sin City DVD box and I love the music they use for the menu. So I had it running through my head and was turning over various images to make a music video when I just thought of Rattrap doing the "Trinity leaping through the window with dual machine guns vs Agent Brown/Blue/Pink (I can't remember what colour)" which was in Matrix Reloaded. This led to more thinking about replacing characters throughout the Matrix and I came up with this:
Neo: Cheetor (probably the best thing in Beast Machines) or perhaps Silverbolt for continuity sake (I'd say Silver would be a bit ticked if he wasn't Neo and he saw the Trinity choice
)
Morpheus: Optimus
Trinity: Blackarachnia (limited female characters but she kicks the most)
Tank: Rhinox
Cypher: Rattrap (yeah I know he isn't bad but he's the only one slick enough) or Dinobot (because he actually swings back and forth from the dark side)
Smith: Would have to be Megatron due to overly crazy ambition (I was tempted to make him the architect so he could sit in the chair and be all omnipotent, however it just didn't sit well)
Agents: 1st movie Scorpinok and Inferno
later movies Rampage, Terrorsaur, Quickstrike
Architect/Oracle and other such creatures: Tripredacus council
That's as far as my wandering went thus far..

Harsh but regrettably true. Ironically, when I saw the Optimus vs Megatron fight at the end of Beast Machines, I thought "This is exactly what the Smith vs Neo fight should have been." I just didn't care by the time Neo did the stand. "Yep... he's all powerful and Smith rules the Matrix... why do I care?" The battlesuit fight was much more interesting... or is that just me and giant fighting robots again?The Wachowski Brothers were good... but if there's a third movie to the BW franchise, don't let them work on it (jk )
