This thread again!

So, it's a new year, we have new members, and it's time to ask the classic question once again:

Who is (currently) your favorite Beast Wars character??? :D

Your choice may include all characters from the TV show (yes, this includes Beast Machines), toyline, and comic books. Do try to limit your choice to just one character instead of listing half the cast and saying you love them all the same. That's lie! A lie told to your children so that they feel warm and fuzzy inside  I kid! I kid! Feel free to give shout outs to honorable mentions and such. I'll go first:

I don't know who my favorite was last time I made this topic, but currently I would have to say that I like Cheetor. Why? Because I'm including his Beast Machines incarnation. That show (as a continuation of Beast Wars) was rubbish, but the one thing it did very well was continuing Cheetor's growth as a character. Just watching all 4 seasons back to back, you do notice that the yellow guy makes quite a big change from the very first episode all the way to the Beast Machines finale that nobody remembers. I really wish they followed up with that Transtech show so that we could see Cheetor take up a leadership role in a large-scale society, but for now I'll just stick to my imagination (which is a lot cooler than that comic that gave him a desk job...).

My favorite will still forever be Rampage. *Ihaveaweaknessforbigevildudes>u<* His voice actor did a very good job in portraying his dark personality. Sometimes I find it amusing when he gives the "I don't give a sh*t" attitude. His design is awesome even though I hate his toys.

Aw, I actually loved his toy. I remember I got both Rampage and Depth Charge for Christmas one year (after much begging) and those two have been my favorites to play with every since. The treads never really worked well, but I took no issue with that.

Hard to say...but I'm going to go with Optimus Primal at the moment. His original Transmetal form holds a special place in my heart since it was basically the first non-McDonald's Transformer toy I got (alongside Sky Shadow).

It is interesting that you mention that, because I never really liked Cheetor much until Beast Machines. I guess I started liking him when he became a TM2 in Beast Wars. But he is one of the few characters that I thought was "improved" through changes in Beast Machines.

Hm. I actually have favorite characters in every series, but none of them really stand out. Let's see here...

Beast Wars: I liked Depth Charge and Rampage the most in this series, I think. Rampage is probably the reason why I tend to like creepy villains so much these days. XD And I also have a soft spot for emo characters like Depth Charge. XD

Beast Machines: Jetstorm. Simply because Brian Drummond made him sound like a gay, psychotic flight attendant. XD

Beast Wars II (Japanese sequel): Scuba, the Maximal squid. He is exactly like me (in personality) and I also like his voice, in both original Japanese and an English fandub I heard.

Beast Wars Neo (Japanese sequel): Longrack, a Maximal giraffe. I love his no-nonsense, stern attitude (he gets pissed if somebody breaks the rules) - he really reminds me of Prowl from G1.

Toys: Air Hammer and Sky Shadow have been my favorite toy characters since, well, forever. I have their toys and I always pit them against each other in fics, finding them really fitting arch-rivals. Air Hammer is also a whole lot like me in personality and skills (intelligent and agile), while Sky Shadow is just kind of charming in all his hidden contempt and patient attacks. XD

Yeah--see, when I first joined the forum, I was saying Silverbolt was my favorite character, with maybe Cheetor as a close second.

For now, though, I would say that Dinobot is my favorite character. He spends almost his entire time in the series asking himself who he is, and when he finally decides near the end, wow does he ever commit. I also like his straight-forward, bold personality, his unflinching courage and his general way of seeing things in life. Plus (again, for now), I think he has the best beast mode in the series.
I understand... you are, after all, a predacon.

I also tend to vary between characters. Blackarachnia, of course, is my favorite. I am fascinated by spiders (but terrified of birds....you'd think it'd be the other way around, but no).And I'm very much inspired by her attitude. She's not one to be intimidated and, in a way, she also comes off as a very "anything boys can do, I can do better" kind of chick. I like that which should be no surprise given the fact that I am so into sports.

But in recent years, I've grown to appreciate Dinobot. I agree with everything Blaze says about Dinobot. I love his passion for following what he believes and I like that he's this hardened warrior who still has a lot to learn about life. It's reassuring to know that even the most experienced among us still make mistakes and get confused about the direction they need to take. And I like that his character shows us sometimes life doesn't turn out the way we expect (Dinobot starts out as a Predacon thinking he was born a Predacon and he'll die a Predacon), but we can still do amazing things with out life even if we have to change our plans (i.e. Dinobot ends up dying a hero to be remembered for his selfless and courageous actions).
