This is something I've always wanted to do but never really pulled it off well. In my head, I pictured my Spartan facing away, looking towards the unknown. The lack of saturation (at least compared to my other works) lends to the atmosphere that I'm aiming for. Overall, I'd say that I'm quite happy with how this turned out. The picture was taken from the map Tempest. While most screenshots end up looking grainy, this one looked adequate enough so that I didn't have to smooth it out (which normally makes the Spartan look cartoonish). Awesome, Alak. I love the feeling of uncertainty in this. Kind of makes me feel anxious not being to see beyond the wall of dust and cloud. What's on the other side?! Nobody knows! Could be the Flood! ...Or a bunch of Grunts eating cake.
