Wolverine Origins Topic: (SPOILERS)
Ok, so I watched it on Monday, and I for one was really impressed by it. Although my sister says that the ending sucked because it was a coppout (her opinion, won't spoil it but I liked it).
So what did you guys think?

I loved it! I'll buy it the moment it comes out on DVD and watch it repeatedly.
Yes, I ADORE Wolverine, the character. I think Hugh Jackman does a great job with him and the cool factor of the film was right up there. It doesn't compare to The Dark Knight or Iron Man imo, but as an action romp giving some background on one of X-Men's coolest characters, I think it did a fine job.
Much love for Wolverine.

I liked it a lot, particularly Hugh Jackman's take on Wolverine (which is awesome in all the movies so far), and the way they protrayed Gambit. Leiv's role as Sabretooth was great. It was a very entertaining movie. I knew Xavier or Magneto had to be in it somewhere.
Make sure you watch all the way through the ending credits! ...If you're one of those who doesn't like missing those little tidbit scenes like me. XD

#cracks knuckles# Right. As a hardcore Marvel fan who knows all permutations of every backstory or every character within the movie I have one word for it..... AWESOME! Alot of fans are disgruntled and whingy about it, but we'll just lump them into the "Optimus shouldn't have flames category" and fire them into the sun.
I walked into that movie with no expectation beyond Wolverine being the best at what he does... and... oh boy, he did it. I was pleasantly surprised at Deadpool as I thought he would be completely botched up. The awesome thing is that he fought in the exact way Deadpool does (including teleportation) and the dude who played him was perfect for the role. Reportedly he'll be back in his own movie once he gets his head screwed back on and I'm sure it will be a barrel o' laughs.
I agree with OOP's tidbits comment. Its great if you love those bits, but if you don't care then you can leave your popcorn covered seat and mosey on out. Down here in Oz, we didn't get the shot of Deadpool rising again, but I knew he would be back anyway
Excellent summary Sapph. Much love for Wolverine indeed. And I'm so stealing your DVD if you get it before we do
WW on the copout aspect, its partially true. However if they wanted to be completely accurate, the only thing that can penetrate pure adamantium is another Marvel-esque metal known a Vibranium. Its actually what Captain America's shield is (and will be
) made of. However, it would be too much to introduce the origins of Adamantium and conveniently throw in the exceedingly rare vibranium into the mix, so Adamantium bullets it is.
All in all a great action romp with retractable claws and Mercs without mouth

Caught this flick earlier in the week.
Instead of echoing everyone before me, I will just say that the movie was yes. Very very yes. Though, I was expecting the adamantium bonding process to be more visually painful. Ah well, can't expect that much out of PG-13.
Ryan Renolds(sp?) was an excellent choice for Deadpool. His sort of humor, and heck, even his voice, suits the character really well. If you've seen the movie "Waiting", you can see it even better.
My only complaint about Deadpool was that he didn't talk enough.
I really can't wait to see how the Deadpool spinoff pans out.
And X-Men Origins: Magneto is rumored to be in post-production, so hopefully that shall rule, as well.

Is the answer to this question "No"?

Hi, Wicked Woman, hadn't seen you in a while! *waves*
I LOVED Wolverine as well! I actually expected a lot less. X3 was... er... My reaction was literally "er...". But yeah, loved this one. I'm a huge Hugh Jackman AND Liev Cantspellhislastname fan. Even if there was nothing else to watch in this movie there would still be the good-looking guys
It's not really consistent with the trilogy but that's fine by me since I like this take more than the trilogy. I'm looking forward to Magneto as well, he's my other favorite!
