I'm a Transformer geek to begin with, although I was in to Beast Wars when I was younger (19 now) and have only very recently re-discovered my love of the show. It's pretty much my favourite TF series ever. Yeeesssss. (<--- Yeah yeah, I know, that's probably uber overdone lol).
Uhmm. I'm from the US, west coast, and a college music student. Yay! My loves include mycology and cheese, not necessarily combined. It's nice to meet ya'll.
Edit: And oh yeah. My fav character is Dinobot all the way, babeh. He is/was quite full of awesome.
Yes Slippy, that was completely overdone! Its a good thing that me and my three friends the tequlia drinking, sombrero wearing, waffle tossing penguins are fairly accepting of such things
Yes, you have come to the right place. Shenanigans, madness and general all round good ol fashioned fun are to be hand in the wonderful place. Its also a great way to build up a mad posse for Botcon #cough cough# next year #cough cough# So welcome, rant, rave and generally be as silly as you like.
Oo- music student. Cool, I'm looking into whether I want to do that or not (well, I'm pretty sure I will. I suppose I'm more interested in how or what specifically I want to try)
Goodness gracious, thank you for the welcome everybody! You had me at flying waffle-riding penguins. XD
And it's a good thing I'm not allergic to nuts...being one myself and all, lawl.
Blazemane, classes are going grrrreeaat! /tonythetiger. Lots and lots and lots and lots of practicing. I have me some hardcore finger callouses o' steel that would make a rhinocerous green with envy. What's your instrument?

Sorry for the delayed response, I was on vacation. Well, actually I play the flute, but I intend to go into music with my voice. I am a singer.
What do you play? I know you mentioned finger callouses, so I figure something with strings, but what exactly?
Cello. It's groovy. Voice eh? That's groovy too. I admire singers like whoa. I'm guessing you want to be classically trained? Or do you want to be like a pop artist or something like that?
I'm not even sure. I'm going to have to see where God leads me. I sing accapella hymns in church, but I also sing gospel, and a bunch of different styles in a church choir for high schoolers. I don't know.
I love alternative rock, but I don't think my voice is suited for that kindof stuff. The truth is I like almost all styles (maybe I can get slightly annoyed with country. But I enjoy a lot of country songs too). So I guess I'm going to have to see
A.) If I even end up singing anyways. It is such a competitive profession, as I'm sure you know.
B.) What I will be singing if I can.
I guess I'm a bit scared. I mean, chances are I won't be able to do this, so what would I want to do if not that?
Scorponis wrote:Ooh, I spy another music student? And one who apparently likes the low voices too! XD I'm a tuba player.
Dinobot fans unite.
FTW on both accounts!!!!!!!!!
Blaze, there's only one important thing...and this is gonna sound cheesy, but for seriously, it's one of my own mottos and one I hear a lot, particularly from a past mentor of mine -- if you love it, just do it. It *is* scary. Yes, the competition is...*&^$#@). It's painful and freakish and demanding and at times you just want to break down and eat your face in frustration.
But if your heart is with singing, with music, then there's nothing you can do but take the plunge and try to avoid killing yourself in the process. The sheer work and dedication involved may seem inhuman but it's more than doable if you truly love your art. And from the looks of things, I think you do. Don't demean yourself with the "chances are I can't do so and so..." carp, or what other peeps may tell you!!! Mind is matter, afterall.
