OPTIMUS PRIME

I gave this to Peter Cullen (G1/Movie Optimus Prime) at this year's BotCon. It is not submitted to my deviantArt account yet because I have fallen greatly behind on there (because you can't do ANYTHING on there on with a 28kbps or lower dial-up connection) and didn't want to add to the mess that needs serious cleaning up. I'm supposed to be getting a cable modem back this Saturday so I'll finally be able to clean up my dA stuff. Until then, kudos to Photobucket!

My reference was Ultra Magnus' "ghost Prime" in the Ultimate Guide to Transformers book I have. I just changed the colors to follow Optimus Prime. I matted and framed it for him with my signature in ink. He loved it! He's a really great guy and adores his fans.

BW Megatron

I gave the original to David Kaye (BW/BM Megatron) at this year's BotCon as well, matted and framed. But like the one above, this is not submitted on deviantArt yet. He loved it and had my eyes watering with his comments, and then he laughed at the rubber ducky I stuck in there behind Megatron's foot (straight from the show). After all, he knows all the rubber ducky jokes and whatnot.

Super cool! I bow down to your amazing skills, as always!

I really like how you've managed to portray the glow and the blast from megatron's gun! An excellant use of negative space and just all out jaw droppingly good art!

Awe. Even though I failed miserably at the BotCon art contest with my BW Megatron painting and Transmutate pencil drawing (which was very discouraging to not even get third place), you guys are a big reason why I'll always keep drawing. Thank you!!! *hugs and waffles with ice cream for everyone*

I can't, Jagna! It doesn't work right with dial-up! Evil, sniveling, super sour slow connection. DIIIE! *stabs the dial-up with a carrot like Cheese stabbing Ed on Fosters* Hopefully I'll have these up there on the weekend, Jag. Sorry for the delay. But thank you, thank you, thank you so much!

Primus, thank you! Yeah, that part was kind of crazy but I tried my best, especially since it's so different working on a piece paper that doesn't illuminate like a monitor does.

That part of the drawing actually looks good on a computer.

I think there should've something in the lower left hand corner because it looks too empty, like his name or something, but oh well. Can't fix that now. XD

I guess that's true about most things in life, though it's better to have someone be better or worse than yourself than to be your equal. Being equal in talent to someone is /hard/, believe you me.

Practice, my dear Watson! Practice to your heart's desire! I've been drawing for almost as long as I can remember. But I think I really developed most of my skills drawing tons and tons of the Lion King when that movie came out. My sisters and I bought tons of the trading cards and would draw them all the time.

Awe. I'd love to give it a whirl but it'll have to wait since I have a few projects I need to finish, and others I'd like to start. XD Yeesh! I'll leave the awesome chibs to you guys. ^.^
