Maximal...or Predacon?

At last we come down to it. The choice every watcher of the show consciously or subconsciously makes as they begin the saga that is Beast Wars. It is a choice that separates them from the other part of the crowd that chooses to go down the other path.

If you didn't know who the actual winner of the Beast Wars was, which side would you choose to be on? Maximals, descendents of the Autobots, or Predacons with their ancestral Decepticons? Good or evil? And why? Why choose being a Maximal over a Predacon and vice versa?

Also have an option for "Other" for those who don't want to be either.

I think its fairly obvious with my avvie and sig, but I'm rootin' for the Preds. Like the Decepticons before them, they give their rivals dilemma after dilemma--which only fail at the last possible second. Like fathers like sons. The Predacons caused the Maximals no end of grief, constantly plotting, scheming, and clawing to be the dominant faction of Cybertron.

Also, I like Preds because they shake up the status quo. From what we've heard after the Decepticons were finally defeated for the last time there was peace for centuries under Autobot/Maximal rule. Predacons would not be content to stagnate away in this manner, as Megatron's theft of the golden disk proves. Clearly, in my humble opinion, Predacons bring with them the wind of change. Swift, sudden, unexpected change, as opposed to other forms of changing the Maximals employ.

What are your thoughts?

I'm most certainly for the good guys and the Maximals. I've rooted for them for as long as I can remember on any show. And I always liked the Autobots, too. Stargate? You got it, I root for the SG-1 team all the time (though Daniel often gets annoying always being in the spotlight and whatnot

). MacGyver? Yep, I was always on his side. Terminator? I was on his side in the second and third films (and I'm not talking about T-1000 or the T-X). The very few shows that make exceptions for me are Reboot, where I always loved Megabyte and Hack and Slash, and Tale Spin, where I always rooted for Sheer Kahn and Don Carnage (sp?).

I think it comes down to being more personable for me. I admit I can be a bit of an instigator, but usually only toward my family and friends who know I'm always kidding. I can't imagine myself hurting someone physically. I don't get into trouble. When I do something selfless, I mean it whole-heartedly. And I'm very, very optimistic. So you see, I have no choice but to vote for the Maximals. I'm too much like them already.

However, as some of you know, BW Megatron is my all-time favorite villain. As far as evil goes, he was pretty hardcore. And comical. But I still love the Maximals over him and his goblins.

Ehm... yes. Predacon, but not a particularly nasty one. I greatly, greatly enjoy making evil plots, and while they can never come to fruition in real life (for whatever that's worth), they might well be able to do so in the Predacon army.

Also, I feel that my innate personality is nearly identical with Tarantulas'. We've just had different things happen to us, and if those things that had happened to Tarantulas happened to me, I'd be just like him. Except maybe for the voice. That's inimitable.

That's easy for me! It's the Maximals!!!*Heck when I first watch that show, I always cheered for them and wanted to be like them*

Even though I liked Megatron because of his rubber ducky and how smart he was, He was that character you love to hate but when it came down to it.

Yeah, when it comes to being personable, then I would be a Maximal too...I just like the Preds better. I've always thought that villains needed some love for being so despised and hated, just for doing their job...

I be a PREDACON! Bwaha! Cuz it's fun I get to goof off and play jokes on people and most of all, glomp Megatron!

But glomping aside, those of you who know me know I'm very sweet and bubbly.... unless made upset. My temperment is what makes me a Predacon at times. I'd liken it to Rampage, only I don't eat people. Often. >_>

I agree with what OOP was saying. I'm too... Well, Optimus *is* my role model, so I think that answers that question. I'm to Optimus-y to be Predacon.

Evil will always triumph because good is dumb.

Besides if I was a Maximal I'd have to be nice to Cheetor and Nightscream, not to mention those disgusting proto-humans.

My choice is Maximal all the way.
I'm not only too much of a goody two shoes (though there are times
that I can be so sneaky I can make Megatron proud), but I'm kinda clumsy as well.
And, I can't stand to see someone being hurt, or to help destroy
the proto-humans.

Wow!!! We were really close, but now that my vote was casted we're more Maximals than Predacons (ok, ok... 1 more...). Ok, to be more clear... Maximal to me. There's no need of a long explanation, just 5 words: We are the good guys!

Well... I should say that Villians are generaly more interesting and cool characters than Heroes... But that's what makes the good guys interesting, their form of interaction with the bad guys.

I mean...

but i agree with what you said about villains being cool...my dad LOVES megatron. he hates Beast Wars, but i was watching the low road and he was standing behind me. it was when megatron said, "I. Want. That. Virus!!!!" my dad poked me and said, "I LIKE him" typical daddy

i do enjoy watching megs being....uh....eeevil. yes, evil THATS the word
