That was the most important thing to me. You were all wonderful in your own way, and hopefully I'll see each of you again someway, somehow. *hugs*

There seems to be a lot of posts consisting of people staggering about. I take it that the convention was REALLY good. I wish I could have been there this time around, but I couldn't. Sooooo, anybody going to post some pictures from the event? Or am I simply blind and can't find them on here (quite possible)?

Actually, if people could send me their photos from Botcon, I would really appreciate it, as I can cherry pick the best ones and but them in the Botcon Gallery, along with any convention reports people may like to send in. I'll put all that up as soon as I get Internet back which hopefully will be soon.

First off, you guys all ROCK in RL.

Second, I must get some of those sound clips from the Mr. Kaye panels to you, Sapph. And fix up that one for Starath...

Or should I say, "Squeaky"? ;)

David Kaye: (quoting Starath's fic in Megs' voice) "Get her off, get her off!"
Starath: *squeak*

...

Hey everyone. Despite it being my first botcon, I really got the feeling that this one was one for the ages, I can't put its awesomeness into words. It was really awesome meeting you guys, thanks for letting me hang with yall and stuff.

Also, I'm having a hard time remembering people's screen names, most of you guys I know through your real names, aside from like Sapph and Omi. I asked Crab about this but of course he was no help =P

artimes, the location of the BotCon changes just about every year, if I'm not mistaken. This year was Providence, Rhode Island, last year it was in Kentucky. It's been in California twice or three times (I lost track), New York and North Carolina. Well, those are the ones I can remember, anyway. I don't recall them announcing where next year's BotCon will be. Did anyone hear anything already?

nope, Optimal they have no clue yet. THey'll post info up at Botcon.com once they've decided something.

I doubt it'll be in July again though as that is usually the GI Joe-con's time slot.

Ah. So basically we won't know for another four or five months. Kidding! I don't know how long it takes to choose a location.

Of course. It was only in July this year because of the movie, me thinks. Normally it's back in August or September, isn't it?

Yeah, I seriously doubt we'll know in as soon as another four or five months, unless it's in the spring of next year. I'd say Jan/Feb if it's next summer, Mar/Apr if it's next fall.

When it came time for the bus home, I didn't want to leave. And not because of the shineys, since I was out of money, and not because of the celebs, although it would have been nice to talk to David Kaye some more. I felt like I was hanging out with people I had known for years. If anyone's ever in the RI area during the summer, or PA the rest of the year, let me know.

Oh, and if anyone wants to drop me a line during the week, Silver has my contact info, even if he doesn't realize it.... But anyone who remembers my real name can email camp@canonicus.org with my name in the subject bar. If you don't remember my real name, PM me for it. But do it quick, since I go back to the woods on Sunday afternoon.
