Where do baby transformers come from?

Where we talk about nothing other than that. :)

Where do baby transformers come from?

Unread post by Snakecharmer »

I was thinking about writing a fanfic with some characters being sons or daughters of the original Beast Warriors. Then I wondered, "Hey! Where do baby transformers come from?" Any thoughts?

Sapphire has a page on transformer anatomy, which does reference this. However, the idea came from somebody else (I'm not sure who), and she referenced it with permission. Here's the link:

I'm not sure if you can use that, maybe you want to ask Sapphire who came up with it and ask them if you can use it, or ask Sapphire if she has permission to let you use it.
I understand... you are, after all, a predacon.

i remember reading that....AND i knew somebody would ask this....

i used to think it was stasis pods, coz when i first watched the show id only ever seen about 15 seconds of one G1 episode, and even until a few weeks ago did someone inform me of the whole sasis pod fiasco in G.....2????????

but then of course it started to get through my thinck skull that Tigatron and co. were waaaay too old and knowlegable to be 'newborns' persay.

im working on a fic too, that involves that kind of thing. i like the spark idea, but i have something a little more spiritual in mine. PM me if you want to know how i think it goes....

Thanks for the link. Wow this sounds complicated! Oh well, maybe I'll just make up something like... the storkbot or maybe have it explained as the 12th wonder of the universe!

In other news, I have the song Eye of the Tiger by Survivor stuck in my head!

in G1 the transformers were gifted with sparks/lasercores/sentience/whatever by a few diffirent sources including but not limited to:

The Matrix (the shiny thing Optimus Prime had in his tummy)
Vector Sigma aka the Oracle of BMac fame
Budding aka asexual reproduction. This way is bad though cause it causes a galactic plague called the swarm to be released if done enough. It'd be frowned upon for a BW character to do (though perhaps Ranty and the Tripredacus Council do it)

For the first two usually a body of some sort is built then gifted with life. So you can kinda skip the exact means of gifting with life and just have them build a body if you want to.

It might actually serve you better to keep it as a mystery, something that might get mentioned but is quickly avoided by your characters because they get all hot and flustered and REALLY dont want to discuss it :D

That being said, there are many ways of interpreting what Rhinox meant and what the matrix does and how the allspark ties into it.

One could say that the Matrix is merely a factory and that the allspark spits out the sparks into the bodies that the matrix produces.

Another is that the Matrix is, once again a factory that produces the bodies of the transformers, and that the allspark is more of a spiritual thing and that the creation of sparks is a little more... involved...

Yet another way of interpreting it is that the Matrix and the Allspark are two aspects of the same production process.

Of course, you could go the interesting route and do something completely different. The choices are yours, naturally. :)
