Yachi-inspired-Sculpture

This is my little work-in-progress, I recently got inspired to do some Beast Wars style sculpture after seeing Yachi's astounding work.
I'm not quite up to standard of replicating actual Beast Wars characters so this is going to be a concept-bot, so to speak.
All I have really done thus far is the basic preliminary groundwork for the piece's natural frame, I need some input and feedback so that I know where to take it, I'm kinda going for an insect type so any suggestions will be vastly apprieciated.[/list]

That's great, you know I've been trying to develop this predacon. He is supposed to be a termite, got no name for him though. Maybe that could give you some ideas to work with. I even searched for images that could serve as a reference. The problem is that I couldn't find many, but take a look at this one if you like.

I'm looking forward to watch your work, whatever it turns out to be!!

No! Call him Chompah!! It sounds more insane. Although, you could call him something like Flak, or another army term to reference the insecticons.

But don't call him woodie, or the wood. That might end badly.

He's only had a few preliminary paint coats on and still has a ways to go but here's the work thus far....

Chomper sounds great too, (Flak? hmm i'll steal that name for my next piece, which'll hopefully be alot better). I'll probably have him finished in a couple of days or so but if any one has any more ideas for future mechs(bots, cons? I dunno) then I'll try my best to sculpt 'em for ya's. Peace out, yo!

My comp refuses to load the first image :(

Very nice sculpture! Scary, but nice! Even (or especially) with only one coat, he looks like a Pred out of someone's worst nightmare.

Uh, Jagna, that's "go go gadget brick." You know, Inspector Gadget. Kidding!

Nice paint job, Primus! He certainly looks like a Predacon. Like an evil Transmutate. XD And "Chompah" sounds awesome. :D

*looks at it again and winces* Ugh. I'd hate to get in his way. XD

Nicely done, Primus! It's great! It reminds me of my brother's little Mech Warrior metal sculptures. He didn't scuplt them but he painted them with much detail like your little guy here. Awesome! :D

By the way, I'm sorry I didn't catch you soon enough on MSN to repsond before you left! >.<

Ah, this is the second fabled bw sculpture i've been workin' away on, it's name is Asalak, as named by the lovely Jagna.

In beast mode it is a leech (thus the strange suction jaw thingie on it's hand). I've even given it a back story(sort of) but any contributions of ideas would be most apprieciated, Asalak(which is arabic for leech) is a damaged protoform that has several instabilities with it's control matrix that cause it to fluxuate and thus must borrow dna from time to time from unsuspecting maximals and predacons causing intense pain in the process.

Anywho...enough backstory banter, without much further ado here is some piccies
