ahh...i remember this ONE ep my mum watched with me...it was befor the storm...she only watched the first few minutes coz she was waiting fot the kettle to boil...
she saw tigatron and said: wow, he is GORGEOUS! (he was in beast mode, btw dont be alarmed. she said she like the animation and the lighting and the colour it made it look almost real...bonded a bit...then the kettle boiled and she walked away...hmph...parents

unfortunately my family despises any mention of BW  but they still let me record it off KTV2 every wednesday after school. the only reason my sister put up with tht is bcoz we would record you hercules an hour later. my sis thinks im too old for Bw...wht does she know? some ppl here r in their 20s, yes? im 16, im allowed to be into whatever i want, so there!

ahem...my dad got me a sand picture of a robot...not g1 / transformers or anything like tht (tht i know of) but he said its coz he knows i still like 'that beast wars thing'...aaaaaawwwww

*scratches head* Well....

Watching Beast Wars used to be okay ten years ago when the series came out. My parents put up with it just like they had with my other cartoon obsessions (such as Darkwing Duck, Bonkers D. Bobcat, Tale Spin, ect) and let me record the show and watch it after I came home from school.

Unfortunately, as the years went on, and I'm 21 now, my mother proclaims anything I watch as "garbage" and she puts up a fuss whenever I try watching any cartoons. Mostly it's just Anime stuff now, but I don't watch BW in her presence anymore because, supposedly, I should have grown out of such things when I was 16.

But I say, ta slag with dat! I don't care how old I get, if I like something, I'll watch it. Besides, BW is a quality show, not like some of the stuff I see nowadays. And I don't like reality TV or anything like that. O_o; Who wants reality anyways? Gimme fuzzy transforming robots any day! xD

My mom despises Anime. She completely hates it. Bw is not just for young kids it's for everyone!!!!!!!

Even though my mom doesn't want to see the second season because Dinobot gets killed and Tigertron goes.

She LOVES TIGERTRON!!!!!!

My dad couldn't possibly care less about the show.

My mom, on the other hand, who's so awesome to me, absolutely loves Rattrap's little fingers. But only the ones he has in his pre-Transmetal beast mode. She was aggravated when he went Transmetal and still says, "Those aren't fingers! I like his little pink toes." It's funny when I quiz her on the characters. She's only watched a handful of episodes from the first season so she kind of knows most of their names. But when I show her pictures of them from the second and third she's stumped. XD "I don't recognize them! They're all shiny and different. And Rattrap doesn't have his cute little fingers!" She loves my pet rats and always plays their little feet. LoL

When I was having my BW first season marathon over Thanksgiving, she sat down and watched a few episodes. She'd laugh at some things and make faces at others. The only thing I can really remember specifically, besides the questions she asked, that she commented on was when Optimus was speaking and she said, "Yeah, I can definitely see Garry saying that." I've succeeded in making her a Garry fan as she has met him as many times I have. I think she gets a kick out of Waspinator, though, because he's so crazy and he talks funny.

I think she likes the show. XD

My parents both know how obsessed I am with anything Transformers-related. So it comes to no shock to them when I come home with comics or DVDs. This is the ultimate surmation of them walking in on me watching Beast Wars.

Me: *watching Beast Wars*

Mum/Dad: What're you watching?

Me: Beast Wars.

Mum/Dad: Ah. *go on about their business*

xD One'a these days, I'm gonna totally go AWOL on them and describe what happens in the episode, and tell them my personal thoughts on said events. Just to see if they stay and listen.
Is the answer to this question "No"?

Actually, when I first saw the show and went through all the episodes I hadn't seen my parents were just as addicted to it as I was. When I go through all the eps yearly every summer, they'll still occasionally sit down to watch an ep with me. My parents are super cool with my hobby-- my dad even collects figures, of a sort, too (Various Mechwarrior and Warhammer models and game pieces). My mom isn't into that kind of stuff all that much, but she gladly helps me out when I'm searching for TF toys and takes interest in major new TF news, especially when it's related to the upcoming movie.

Dinobot scared my mom out of her wits.

My mom? Eh, I have no idea if she would like it or not.

My dad on the other hand, he's sat down and watched a few episodes with me. I get the impression he likes it to an extent.

My mom never actually worried or cared much for the cartoons that we watched on tv as kids, so me and my brother could've normally
lived out at it.
She just grew concerned when I started speaking a modrate
English at all times when I was a kid.

She barely even knew about Beast Wars, so whenever it was on my mom just goes on with her life.
Nowadays, my mom gets a bit annoyed when I watch cartoons, because she believes that it's for kids, and I'm supposed to have outgrown from cartoons by now.
But don't care, since I love cartoons and will never stop loving it either.

We almost always end up in discussion about it, mainly because I always have something to watch when she has to watch telenovela's at night.

fizzybird, if you don't mind me asking, where are you from? That bit about using English makes me think you're not from the US or England.

^^; You don't have to answer, I'm just being curious. >_>

#Silver sitting there in the games room covered in action figures with Beast Wars blaring over the surround sound#

Respective parent: "You watching that stuff again."

#Silver's eyes are the only thing that can be seen through the screen of action figures. They swivel and turn towards said parent# Yes... its really good.

Parent:... alright then.

Parent shrugs walks out of room and leaves Silver to his own devices.

Sister walks in. "You watching that rubbish again?"

"How's Bold and the Beautiful going?"

"Its great, Ridge is..." BLAH BLAH BLAH BLING BLING BLING BLAH

"Uh huh."

"Alright then."

Sister walks away.

Nobody understands me  except for you crazy guys :D

Knowing my luck, this is all just a figment of my imagination and I am typing to imaginary friends on a 386 keyboard which has not been switched on or plugged in.
It's ok sir. I'll be fine...

Just listen to your commander, bonebrain!

Yes dear...

dang it...OZ figured us out. :/

Hmmm...my folks never really noticed much. Though they didn't like me watching the tv 10 years ago when it was still running and wanted me doing my homework instead.
