1) Well that's boring. Come on we can be all rowdy and stay up late and drink and do drugs and so forth. Single gender rooms is a generally safer alternative and we don't want anything happening especially if it is orgainsed through this forum. I don't know legal mumbo jumbo however if something does happen I would not be surprised if some repurcussions extended to our little home here.

I personally was planning on dragging a hammock into Botcon and slinging it between the arms of a large autobot statue or movie prop. Its foolproof.

My details are as yet unknown because I have not gone on my crazy trip and comeback considerably poorer yet.

Now I just thought of a crazier concept but wil again depend upon money and how via interstate driving. Yes thats right I'm proposing an interstate Road Trip. I found a place in Miami that hires out Hummers for I think a reasonable weekly rate. If I were to do this, I would cover the costs myself but I'd offer the opportunity for pick ups along the way. Again only a huge maybe plan however just throwing it out there.
It's ok sir. I'll be fine...

Just listen to your commander, bonebrain!

Yes dear...

*pops out of lurker mode*

I'm going to Botcon this year too. Going on Alaska Airlines most likely [I gots air-miles so...XD!]

So far my plans is:

Leaving Seattle around 6am [my time X_x!] and get in to Providence around 6:15pm [their time].

I might need a ride if anyone might be around the airport around that time. The dragon is also in need of a good motel, I don't mind bucking with someone or two someones. Primuse, I don't even mind sleeping on the flour! [I'm use to it X-x] ...as long as I have a pillow and a blanket and it isn't freezing.

I have seen a few motels/hotels online, some are close and others are about five miles away. I don't mind the walk, I do that at lest in a work day when paying bills. Give a shout out to me if you have better ideas or need a roommate. I also don't have many bags, a back pack shoulder bag and one check in bag for my Jazz costume and Depth Charge fanclub flag.

Anyways, I'm leaving a day after Botcon on the....2nd, 7:35am, so I may need a ride again back to the airport.

Crab is going to BotCon '07. Once again, he is driving. This time, he shall also be bringing a friend!... Though he's yet to determine which one. He shall also be driving, so depending on wherever everyone is staying, he may or may not be able to provide rides with his 5-seater truck.

Why Crab is speaking in third person and repeating statements said a few seconds ago, he doesn't know. Probably due to it being 3:30am and the energy reserves have been burned out since 11pm.

*crash and burn*

*aka, sleep*

*zzzzzzzz.....*

I'm coming too-- flying to Providence with my dad. We're waiting to see how much of a discount the Botcon code will give us before we decide if we're staying in the Westin or a hotel (really) nearby.

The official Botcon site updated a couple of weeks ago with a smidgen of information about the dates and hotel stuff. There's no discount code yet, but at least there's a little more info to go on than previously.

OMG! You guys gotta see these pictures for the hotel Botcon's staying at! They. Are. Awsome.

I'm (finally) looking at stuff on Botcon's webpage. Do you think they'll have a board wars this year? And can we enter?

I'm doing well in the planning department. Just have to go in by January 28th to get my passport done before the rush. Still saving up the money and my boss says it's cool for me to take off a week to go. ^^. Now... I just need transport... :-S

Anyways this is so awsome that so many people will be coming. I am so bringing a camera.

From TFW2005.com:
Our very own Neospark1 has reported in with getting the Botcon Group rate for the Providence Westin Hotel at $129.00 per night. The reservation was made by phone, and all that needs to be done is mention Transformers/Botcon. Once again the hotel details are as follows:

The Westin Providence
One West Exchange Street
Providence, Rhode Island 02903
United States · Phone: (401) 598-8000

No discount codes have been announced yet, as was previously stated on the Botcon website.
$130 is a HUGE discount, much better than I was expecting. Westin is usually ~$250 a night. So me and my dad have already made reservations, I'm staying there.

Westin, huh? $130's a pretty sweet deal. Most definately gotta look into it. :D I wonder how close that is to where the convention is taking place... I should totally go look it up on a map. But I dun feel like it.

Tomorrow!

June 28th to July 1st... I might be able to make a cameo appearance, but I work at a camp during the summer, teaching little Baptists how to shoot, so it's a little uncertain, at best. Any word on costs for the Con itself? (I'd just be getting a ride into town for the day, basically.)

*scratches head* MD, I remember reading somewhere that a one-day admission fee was $6 or something like that. I can't remember where I saw that, though, but I'd imagine it would just be like a boat convention or whatever. It's us crazy people who spend all the money lol ^^;

Due to some changing circumstances in my life, going to Botcon 2007 looks a heap more likely than it had in the past.

Primus willing I'll get myself there, somehow. >_>

<_<

To the laboratory! That jetpack's still experimental, but I might be able to get halfway there!

Starath's almost right. Last year walk-ins were $9. You can see the dealer room for that price and enjoy some of the activities. Cons are only very expensive if you go for the full packages and stay the full three days. If you want all the flashy extras (toys, special events, autograph and VA sessions etc.) it can cost up to $300, but if you're just gonna stop by for the day, you can pay the on-the-door price. It'd be cool if you could come, MD. Around 20 of us (maybe more) from BWINT are attending this year and I can confidently say from my experiences at past Botcons that it's a LOT of fun. :D

Guys, the official hotel is BOOKED already, less than a week after reservations first started to come in. (This Botcon is going to be HUGE!) I got in as I called and reserved as soon as I found out, but if you haven't reserved a room in the Westin yet you aren't going to. Brian Savage (the guy who runs Botcon) is working with other nearby hotels to try to work out a group discount rate there as well.

Holy snap...go without the net for a month and look what happens. :/

Anyway, the Fellster is headed to Botcon to me thinks. But I do need a place to stay and possibly some folks to bunk with if possible.

Oh and howdy folks.
