Other Voices question.
While watching other voices on you tube I notice something. They needed to sterilize the planet because they had no choice. They also mention that there was more danger then they know.Did they ever go into what that danger was?

I believe they were referring to the danger Megatron would eventually pose to the timestream due to the Ark being located there. They never came right out and said it, but I think that is indeed what they were speaking of. I believe "Other Victories" (Tigerhawk's intro) makes a reference to this however.

hmm...i used to think it was a premanition of alll the ssn 2 alien devices, which, incidently, megs mucked up. u know, the one that took tigatron and air razor (its been years and im still miffed about that!)
although both theories would mean the aliens KNEW they were gonna fail...if thats the case, kinda pointless, innit?
perhaps they knew if they DID fail, that the energon on the planet...would...do. something...bad? ok never mind i cant back that up...unstable???? (energon cubes in tarrys lair? raw energon?)
Velociberg and OOP are prob right, im just going out on a tangent here...

I highly doubt anything with the energon would come to pass. The Vok actually helped the Maximals/Predacons by conveniently stabilizing or evaporating(?) all the energon near there. Sure, some raw sources remained, but they remained isolated enough to not bother those that weren't transmetallized like Rhinox or Waspinator unless they were in very close proximity to it, like with Inferno in "The Agenda".
The Vok weren't prepared for transmetals. In "Other Visists" when they unleashed that plant-fortress thing, it clearly incapacitated all those that weren't transmetal or a fuzor, while the former and latter recovered quickly enough after being hit, indicating it was believed that they were all still standard transformers. Besides, Tigatron and Air Razor were barely involved in season 2 anyway.hmm...i used to think it was a premanition of alll the ssn 2 alien devices, which, incidently, megs mucked up. u know, the one that took tigatron and air razor (its been years and im still miffed about that!)
The only time the Vok were truly ready to take on transmetals (and TM2 bots for that matter) was when they decided to sic Tigerhawk on them.
I don't think they knew they would fail. They just keep a very loose eye on the planet. By not observing it more carefully, they set themselves up to be defeated--had they not been overconfident, things might've gone down differently. I think the season 2 alien weapon was a failsafe in case the other weapon (the one that killed Optimus Primal) didn't succeed. But they were dang ready to finish it once and for all when they created Tigerhawk. But again, they constantly underestimated who they were up against.although both theories would mean the aliens KNEW they were gonna fail...if thats the case, kinda pointless, innit?
