Happy 20th Anniversary Beast Wars! :D

Yeah, this kinda crept up on me too despite initially being aware of it and planning to do something for it but...Life in general just kinda got in the way, XD. Regardless, today marks the 20th Anniversary of our favorite Transformers series, Beast Wars! Hard to believe its been twenty years since the maximals and predacons crashed on ancient earth and began their epic rivalry for the fate of time and space itself...Man we got OLD XD.

Regardless, if you can find the time today or even over this weekend, I say give a shout out to the many good and bad bots who blew each other to kingdom come and back again for our entertainment, and proved you can give deep character development to a cast of alien robots and cook up amazing stories to boot, while also still advertising the toys (something most transformer incarnations seem to be lacking these days lol). Regardless, have a Happy Beasties Day everyone! YYyyyyyesssss!

Gosh! I can still remember the first time I saw it. Megatron's face was the first thing I saw. I was six years old at the time, but now that I remember a bit, I really didn't get to see Beast Wars until it's second season. Then first season re-runs and then, finally, third season. Got hooked really fast. Beast Wars was the only show that I always wanted to go and watch when I was little! Also, the only cartoon show my mom would actually watch with me. So hooked and excited about the show to the point when I got ticked off when the re-runs stopped playing.

When it went off the air, I really wanted to watch it again. Never got a chance to until we moved to another state and saw used DVDs of them. And I was like: I want that! I think I almost watched all of the first season in one go! :lol

My favorite moments would have to be.... holy crap I have a lot of them. Despite the majority it seems, I enjoyed every moment in The Low Road. Rhinox' exploding farts. XD So hilarious! Loved the first season finale. The planet buster's ray and Optimus' shocking death. I mean, that made me gasp. Loved Rattrap and Dinobot's bickering. Any moment with Optimus and Cheetor. Cheetor's hug is so cute in Victory. All of Megatron's speeches, especially the speech he gives in the Ark.

Yay! Happy 20th, Beast Wars! Ah, the series that got my brother, and thus me, into Transformers collecting.... and now look at me. (Points to "current TF total" in signature.)

BW definitely has had a stronger impact on my life than any other TV show.

And to think the first episode I saw of the show was "Code of Hero".

Where I grew up, they didn't air the Beast Wars show until years down the road. I actually ended up buying one of the X-box machines, get it rigged so it could play foreign DVDs, and then have an American friend get the BW DVD sets for me.

So I was very late with getting into the show, honestly..

Later on I got to know someone via a TF related website due to the fact we both had a passion for BW. Long story short.. we fell in love, moved in together, eventually got married and had a couple of kids. All thanks to a show neither one of us has watched in years. How's that for an impact??

Yes! Happy 20th anniversary Beast Wars! I was around 10 or 11 years of age when I first saw the show. My sister knew I loved cheetahs (favourite animal) and she was flipping through channels when she saw Cheetor and hollered for me to come and see. I came in and was disappointed it was not a real cheetah and told her so. I sat down and watched anyway. Obviously, I loved it! Sadly, they took it off the air after season 1 and I had to wait 2 years to see the 2nd season, and another 2 years for the third (we visited family in the UK and I acquired season 3 on VHS - it was so expensive due to the exchange rate of the South African Rand to the British Pound!).

Around 2001 I started publicly sharing my love for Beast Wars in the form of a personal website, which became BWInt. And BWInt drew the attention of SilverfromOz who is now my partner. We live in Australia together with our 4 pet rats (which are a result of my love for Rattrap!!). So yes, 20 years on, Beast Wars is still positively impacting me.

I have stayed friends with so many people I met through the fandom. I will in fact be travelling to Canada next month to see some of those special people.
