Actually NK, Star would be very disgusted about mech fluid squirting eyes.
I can give you suggestions though WS.
Pitohui bird - A poisonous bird. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pitohui
Bullet ant - An ant with a very painful sting. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=pl ... arqiOM4-Fg
Thorny dragon - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thorny_dragon
Just for laughs, Potoo bird, a bird which scares the slag out of Star at first sight : http://img.gawkerassets.com/img/18nqsu4 ... xlarge.jpg

Hm, that's true. At best I think the Spinosaurus one is going to be my option, but this one will be lacking a Transmetal form this time and I'd likely guess would be a heavy hitter. Plus being amphibious next to being a land animal this would certainl serve well for the Predacons, he/she would serve well in a marine unit or land unit which I'm sure Megs wouldn't mind taking use of.
And I love your options Star, though I think the Pitohu Bird might be a less likely option due to most of the birds we have for fliers, not a fan of ants sadly, and the thorny devil always looks menacing. But sadly I was making my decision based on the ones I found, but thanks. ^^ Oh and that last one... I can see why she would be creeped out but that would have me laughing to death as a Maximal.

Well, with the Spinosaurus, Rampage, Cecaelia, and Umbra.. I think Orcariner is screwed and very alone. *LOL*

Depthcharge eh? Well, I suppose I could replace Aerostriker with an amphibious type.

You aren't going to kill off Aerostriker, are you Nk? I hope not! He just got here!

Eh, I've been pondering it for the past few months Una. Stag's been fun, but over all the options I've pondered, the most favored has been just getting rid of Aerostriker. There's been a few times I've pondered just having Stag Kamikaze into Nem or Tantrum and having Aerostriker just die in that CR chamber.

Okay, if that is what you want to do. Too bad. The whole thing with Aerostriker and Stag was interesting.

I've been in the slow process of making a profile for this new Pred OC I've been thinking of (hence Meg's current plan in story lol), but I'm having trouble working on his tech specs...Can't decide whether I want to go for a Rhinox style character who's very strong but also very intellectual, OR, make him the ideal soldier/sub-commander for Megs instead, a skilled powerhouse with average or above average intelligence but not a science whiz like Rhinox. Here's what he looks like...

I've got a few combinations for the tech specs figured out but its tough choosing between them for whichever would suit Deathroll, & Megatron's needs, best.

Hm.. Well, considering you want to make this a subcommander, he'll probably need to be more competent then Inferno. As for skills, a Drilltank Alligator would have skills in ambushes and mining, while also being fairly durable and strong. Though to note, a 6-7 in intelligence is above average, so he'd probably be fairly smart in whatever he specializes in, but not "perfect genius" like Night Terror tried to be. I suppose it depends on what sort of weapons you were planning to equip on Deathtoll as well. Going by what's written on deviant art, it would seem he would be like Soundwave or Shockwave.. if that's the case, probably a intelligence of 7 or 8, and maybe have him take up Glowstick's old role as a communications specialist. Jamming radar and communications or listening in to their calls will make you the bane of the Maximal's lives.. believe me. I know. LOL

I was thinking of granting him the ability to produce Faraday waves like a real life alligator (something suggested to me by OOP), which in universe I figure could be used to jam communications or radar. I basically want to give Megs a powerful, reliable subordinate in contrast to what he had to work with on the show, i.e. crazy and/or dim loyalists & intelligent but treacherous backstabbers. Originally he was gonna be more like Rhinox, powerful but sciencey, but as I was tinkering with the possibilities I realized how tricky that could be, & like you explained he could still be clever in a particular field, just not be the kind of guy who could bring back the dead using spare parts around the ship like Rhinox lol (even though I DO adore the idea of Rhinox having a Predacon counterpart to match wits & trade blows with lol). Megs needs a powerful & competent righthand he can trust to actually get stuff DONE, and not that there aren't any such characters amidst the ranks (player OCs mostly, the original preds were a den of thieves lol), but I think he could do with some more lol. Plus, now that I've pretty much committed to playing Megs, playing Tarantulas & Terrorsaur, fun as they can be, is getting kinda tricky for me, like playing against myself lol.
I plan on creating a second OC that could be the science whiz instead I suppose, but it will be a bit before I can afford another DA commission (when it comes to RP characters I need to be able to visualize them lol), so that may have to wait. Thanks for the advice so far Naito.

No problem. Sorry for the late reply. Spent 8 hours up in a garage last night fabricating doors for my tractor (I use it to snow blow in the winter since the snow in NY is crazy sometimes.)
I guess you could use the faraday wave looking effect, though actual faraday waves are vibrations in a liquid, which Alligators use as a mating call. To save on characters and cash, just up the brains to 8 or 9 and you'd have a pretty good tech wizard, which would work out well with communications and jamming, since usually those types also do things like hacking or as I'd imagine in Deathtoll's case, probably building jamming towers for Megatron.. which Megatron sets up alot in season 2 and 3.
Just remember when using those abilities, Radio waves and radar can't be used underwater, or underground unless as "ground penetrating radar" which is rather focused in a single direction, but either way.. You can't jam or intercept radiowaves while completely underground or underwater. Part of Deathtoll's antenna will have to be exposed. Though that probably wont come up too often other then Deathtoll being underground. Digging characters are more likely to be digging.. compared to swimming characters ever going in water.

No worries Naito, I know how it is, real life has to take priority over gameplay and what not (and snow can get pretty awful in my neck of the woods too, especially last year ), I'm thankful for any help you can give at all lol. Hammering out this OC is taking longer than I planned, totally my bad. I'll also try to get a post in for the actual game tomorrow, sorry for the delay, I know Umbra is waiting on Megs to speak up already lol.
Name: Deathroll (Death-Roll, like the move Gators use to kill their prey)
Faction: Predacon, formerly Decepticon
Bio in Progress: Originally one of many decepticon soldiers who served as crewmen aboard the first Megatron's flagship, the Nemesis, Deathroll along with many other lost soldiers fled the ship in an escape pod before the Nemesis sank beneath the sea. He would have remained lost forever, trapped inside his pod, left to rot in stasis like many of his forgotten shipmates, just another casualty of the great war, if not for the intervention of the new Megatron and his Predacon faction. To survive on ancient earth, Megatron upgraded Deathroll's powerful but primitive & inefficient Decepticon frame into that of a Predacon, a transmetal predacon no less! After his upgrade and being filled in on the unusual circumstances of the Beast Wars, particularly how it was a war being fought by soldiers from a future in which the decepticon lose the Great War and Cybertron, Deathroll embraces his new status as a Predacon elite in service to the new Megatron, who he views as his original Lord's rightful heir and his only hope of preventing a future in which his kind has been vanquished and "enslaved"...Not to mention save himself from being one of many lesser members of the first Megatron's crew who were left un-rescued even after the war had ended. As evidenced by his vehicular form, Deathroll was originally a miner before joining Megatron's Decepticon uprising, where he honed his combat skills in the gladiatorial pits of Kaon before moving on to become a communications officer. Due to his size and bulk, Deathroll is slow for the most part, possessing only average speed, but has learned to lie patiently and quietly in wait for his enemies to come to him, where he can then strike quick and suddenly before they can flee his grasp, using his strength & firepower to destroy his enemies.
Obviously very much still a draft XD
Weapons Concepts...I know I can only have four weapons plus a special ability so this is just me brainstorming ideas, sorry lol
1) Tyronium Drill: His drill attachment can pierce through even the hardest of materials and strongest of metals, can be used as a melee weapon in both vehicle and robot mode, turning his tail into a deadly melee weapon.
2) Twin Plasma Blasters/double barreled blaster: Mounted on his back in vehicle mode for ranged attacks and deterrence against flyers, can be used as individual blasters for each hand or a double barreled beam rifle in robot mode.
3) Wrist Grinders: Tank treads on robot mode's wrists can be used as melee weapons, to either block enemy attacks or grind into their hides
4) Sonic Disruptors: Can generate focused sonic attacks between his three fingered hands, manifested as either focused sonic beams or rapid firing sonic bullets, allowing him to cleanly punch or cut through enemy alloys, an offshoot of his faraday wave capabilities. Think the Ice Warriors from Doctor Who, or Gyaos from Gamera.
5) Tooth Torpedos: As an alligator Deathroll is at home on land or underwater, and thus is equipped with torpedo launching capabilities, namely in the form of shoulder mounted torpedoes formed from his beast modes teeth, inactive until fired and usable on land or sea.
6) Plasma Balls: In robot mode his mouth can open to fire concentrated bursts of superheated, explosive plasma (like Godzilla or Gamera)
7) Optic Beams: simple but effective, laser vision based weaponry like Dinobot or Terrorsaur
Special Ability: Faraday Wave Generation, only much more powerful than anything produced by a normal gator (maybe I should just upgrade it to actual shockwaves if that's more accurate). He can use his waves to disorient those in the water around him or even create mudslides and falling rocks, or stir up murky clouds in the water to disguise himself. I was also thinking it could even disrupt other bots' sonars who may be underwater trying to locate him...Unless as you said jamming like that won't work or whatever, I got the idea from Optimal Optimus (the player, not the toon lol).

Hm.. lets see..
1) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MUIrK8oOe7U Nuff said, probably most likely weapon to have as melee is the most common battles in the game. Could probably also use the drill as a means of transportation underwater, like a screw propeller. LOL
2) Makes sense from the art, which had those guns on the back of the tank mode.
3) Probably don't want to use your tank treads as a weapon, tank treads are prone to breaking, plus you'll probably be using tank mode more then alligator mode.
4) Could work, also well suited to work underwater.
5) Going but the art, Deathroll could have torpedo/missile launchers on his legs in robot mode. Though considering the size, those torpedos wouldn't do much damage.
6) Classic, I'm guessing from the design and name, Deathroll is a bit inspired from Moguera?
7) Usually a good backup.
As for the Faraday wave generation. The shockwave could be useful for things like that or softening up soil around him like quicksand to make a quick escape (since it does work on loose substrate or liquids. Here's a visual idea of what the faraday wave looks like. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8HkVDU1ofVQ )I suppose we use sonar more then radar, though echolocation jamming might get on Umbra and Sonar's nerves. Otherwise Maxmal wise it'd be useful if Orcariner ever came back.. but would only work on Banshee. Also totally possible to do, considering a pistol shrimp can mess with a naval ship's sonar. *LOL* Radar jamming on the other hand.. less useful other then the Axalon and fliers.. as most of them don't even use guided weapons, that's more a Predacon thing..

Thanks for the input again Naito, here's draft 2! Hopefully closer to a solid bio now. As for inspiration, he's mostly inspired by the allicons and Skullkruncher, appearance wise at least, but personality wise I'm going for a reliable right hand con like Soundwave or Cyclonus, or like I said before, an evil Rhinox, someone Megs can actually trust and who's dedicated to the cause...But yeah, there's a bit of kaiju in him too, nice name drop with Moguera
Name: Deathroll
After his upgrade and being filled in on the unusual circumstances of the Beast Wars, particularly how it was a war being fought by soldiers from a future in which the decepticon lose the Great War and Cybertron, Deathroll embraces his new status as a Predacon Sub-Commander in service to the new Megatron, who he views as his original Lord's rightful heir and his only hope of preventing a future in which his kind has been vanquished and "enslaved"...Not to mention save himself from being one of many lesser known decepticons who were left un-rescued even after the war had ended. He is however faster while burrowing underground or swimming underwater, but speed is not necessary when you're as well armed and skilled as Deathroll.
Thanks to his new Alligator beast mode, something he found difficult to adjust to initially due to coming from an age where organic beast modes were rare, he has gained the ability to operate underwater, increasing his usefulness to Megatron several fold and allowing him to function better in wetland, freshwater, & oceanic areas where other bots are at a disadvantage. Deathroll finds that there is a certain freedom to life underwater, where his massive bulk is less of an issue and he can travel more gracefully and freely than on dry land...But of course, he always returns to the surface when Megatron calls or there are maximals to destroy! On a grimmer note, Deathroll's new beast mode has given him a gluttonous appetite for organic flesh that he did not have before, a nasty habit that he is aware of but can't help but indulge in, not unlike a human's weakness for junkfood.
Tech Specs:
Strength: 10
Intelligence: 6 or 7
Speed: 5
Endurance: 10
Rank: Sub-Commander/Communications Officer
Courage: 6
Firepower: 6 or 7
Skill: 6
I'm leaning towards this so he can be more powerful & take more hits (the two tens namely), but I'm still a little torn on the other specs in some regards.
Weapons:
1) Tyronium Drill: Can be used for burrowing, underwater propulsion, or a melee weapon depending on his mode & environment
2) Pulse Laser Guns/Sonic Disruptors: Back mounted while in vehicle mode to provide ranged and anti-aircraft attack capabilities, can be wielded like hand guns in robot mode, as a double barreled blaster or twin pistols (they an split apart & combine back together). Alternatively, the guns could be sonic in nature instead of laser based.
3) Torpedoes: energy signature seeking projectiles, operate like missiles on land but function normally as torpedoes under water.
4) Plasma Bullets: explosive bursts of superheated plasma that he can vomit from his mouth in robot mode when his face plate splits open.
Special Ability: Soundwave generation, an upgraded version of the Faraday Waves alligators can generate in the water, Deathroll can generate similar but much more powerful sonic vibrations which he can use to jam communication signals & tracking devices, improving upon his ambush tactics & preventing would be prey from calling for help. He can also use these sonic waves to generate rock falls, mudslides, & quicksand, allowing him to turn the battlefield against his enemies, particularly those who are faster or more agile than him.
P.S. I'm tempted to give him a recon drone similar to a Cyberbee or something after you suggested making him more like Soundwave, but might be too much, unless you think it would be better than the wave generator ability (I can think of a few places such a drone could hide...dun dun dun).
