I like how Starscream screws up Megatron's plans even when he's not actually a Decepticon. Megs needs to really kill that guy off for good one of these days lol.

True, I'm honestly surprised Megatron didn't finish him off back in the cave episode, seemed like the perfect time to do so. Its a shame really, when TF Prime first began, Starscream came off as being very menacing and cunning, the other cons actually seemed to fear him and respect his authority, not as much as they do Megatron of course but he still managed to keep em in check for the most part. Then Starscream started going down a slippery slope of cowardice and failure and it kinda killed his new image as a competent schemer this time around...And Airachnid stole his job :|

I kinda wish Starscream had remained 2nd in command since we've already seen the whole "Screamer goes it alone & sucks at it" theme in Transformers Animated, know what I mean?

Edit: Looks like Screamer still has some skills though judging by how he made a mockery of Megatron's guards on his way out of the Nemesis, even if he got injured on the way out. I think its safe to say he's effectively cut all ties with Megatron at this point, he'll need to think up something crafty in order to survive this season and pose any sort of serious threat to the Decepticons and Autobots.

Sooooo....pretty awesome (and obscure) Beast Wars nod in today's episode. Ratchet mumbles deliriously in a half-asleep state,

"What?? Do I hear a Fuzor in need of voice-box repair? ... I am able! Just ask Bantor! He was all mandrill before I put a tiger in his tank!"

NICE.

I really should be following this show.. I did see the initial 6 episodes on youtube back in the days, but then 'lost touch' due to real life being busy. By now I just don't even want to think about trying to follow the show since I'm so far behind and I have no time to try to catch up. :(

Was I the only person who kept thinking "Depth Charge" throughout this week's episode? Dreadwing is an awesome character in his own right, but his color scheme keeps reminding me of DC lol.

I really hate Airarachnid more for what happened in the last episode.

I hope she gets what's coming to her especially since everyone will go after her.

You mean what she did to poor Breakdown? If so, I TOTALLY agree, that damn Blackarachnia wannabe has apparently killed off my FAVORITE new gen Con . He was such a cool character, he fulfilled the role of the hired muscle/brute character but without being stereotypically stupid, he was a force to be reckoned with and his battles against Bulkhead were EPIC. I ordinarily don't like it when they take a member from a G1 combiner team & make him a solo act, but in this case TFP Breakdown held his own and stood out amongst the Decepticon ranks, more so than his partner Knockout in my opinion at least. Why kill off such a cool character? I admired his determination and his desire to prove himself when he felt he'd made a mistake, he seemed like a character who could continue to evolve and entertain as the series progressed...So why off him in such an inglorious manner? The number of main cons and Autobots were finally even with the addition of Dreadwing & Wheeljack, now the cons are short three (not counting those copy paste Vehicon grunts who rarely contribute much to any battle lol).

The Cons need only one rogue, and Starscream has filled that niche already, so I honestly hope Airachnid is finished off this season in as gruesome a manner as possible (a fitting end for a backstabbing serial killer).

I did however enjoy Megatron's fight with the Insecticon, as well as how Starscream came out of nowhere and PWNED Airachnid, and then took me by surprise by sparing Arcee's life! Apparently as a means of putting an end to her vendetta against him, she let him live once, and now he's done the same (restored some of his cool points after his earlier embarrassment at the hands of Mech). I also like Dreadwing, he reminds me alot of the Decepticon seekers of old, its about time Megatron had a sub-commander he could rely on besides Soundwave (whom I adore for wiping the floor with Airachnid XD).

sorry for the rant, had ALOT to talk about

LOL Yeah, I don't like her, but I loved Breakdown and Knockout. I also like Dreadwing, but Airarachnid? She needs to go.

I really didn't expect Breakdown to get it. It just happened off-screen and fast.

I know, I HATE IT when main characters are killed off in that fashion, Breakdown was a big player in alot of episodes, just don't get why the show's staff thought killing him off in such a lame way would be cool, just belittles him and makes us loath Airachnid even more.

I rather like Airrachnid. They've done a lot of creative things with her-- having a "beast mode" robot mode as well as a vehicle mode, the whole "drilling" thing, it's pretty cool.
I still liked Breakdown, but eh. His characterization never really went anywhere after 'Operation: Breakdown'. He was kinda just the tough lackey.

Still, regardless there's no way they could've shown Breakdown's death on screen. I was kinda surprised they even cut back to it to show all those gruesome parts everywhere. Actually showing Airrachnid doing it would've definitely crossed the line for a childrens' show.

Alak wrote:- Airachnid's power levels seem to bounce per episode. One minute she's a beast and the next she's easily defeated. This episode favored the former.
- I'm quoting myself because that's exactly how I feel about the Crossfire episode. Her power level seemed to go from generic-bad-guy to boss-mode. Then again, I suppose it was necessary for the story so that she could be kept alive long enough to rule her new Insecticon army. Even still, that bugs me to no end. All in all I'd say I'm not a fan of the character due to her inconsistent portrayal.

- As for Breakdown being dead, I'm a bit skeptical on that. Maybe that's just me growing up watching Beast Wars, but it seems like you can bring him back just by saying so-and-so put him back together again. It was funny how he was beaten so easily, though. This was the guy who could go toe-to-toe with Optimus when he was first introduced, and nowadays even Bulkhead can beat him in a fist fight. In this episode, he was both weak and stupid.

- I really love Dreadwing and if he is intended to be Breakdown's replacement then I will welcome it with open arms. One thing about him, though, is that he doesn't really seem like a Decepticon. He seems to genuinely care for Megatron's well-being, he's shown to grieve for his family, and he actually has enough honor to keep to a cease-fire. That's like... anti-villain? I don't know, but I'm willing to bet that he will collaborate with the Autobots in some form or another in the future.

- Megatron was amazing as usual. I especially loved his references to his gladiator days, and those skills certainly showed. I mean, Arcee seems way overpowered sometimes and she got curbstomped by an Insecticon. Megatron literally backhanded that thing up into the air and straight into the rock wall. This incarnation of Megs is sitting at #1 on my list right now. I'll even go as far to say that he's more powerful than Animated Megatron.

- I feel really bad for Starscream. I don't know if anyone will take him seriously ever again lol.

If Silas really does get Breakdown's body, I hope they keep Clancy Brown as the voice actor.
