Once Upon a Beast Wars, Darkly

[Razor One]

Upon Cybertron, the glorious Predacon Empire cuts a swathe of power and influence through the Galaxy as they lord over their Maximal Slaves. But unbeknownst to the Predacons, the heroic leader Optimus Primal has staged a daring raid, stealing the Golden Disk, a priceless Predacon Artifact...

Wait Wait Wait. This isnt beast wars is it? Well of course not!

One of the fun things possible with most storylines and characters is that one can easily apply the Mirror formula to them.

When I say that of course I'm referring to TOS ST Episode "Mirror Mirror", in which Kirk visited a twisted insane rendition of the universe as he knew it.

Of course in that it was both the characters and the universe that was twisted.

Anyway, the point to all this jabbering? How do you think the Beast Wars would have went if the circumstances or characters had been reversed or twisted somewhat.

[Safeguard]

1. If it really is Beast Wars Mirrorverse-style... the.. um... dunno what these are.

Optimus Primal is like the normal universe Megatron.
Rhinox is Scorponok.
Rattrap is Waspinator.
Dinobot is Terrorsaur.
Cheetor is Inferno.
Tigatron is Tarantulas.
Airazor is Blackarachnia (Pred form).
Silverbolt is Quickstrike.
Depth Charge is Rampage.

Megatron is like the normal universe Optimus Primal.
Scorponok is Rhinox (intelligent).
Waspinator is Rattrap (Brooklyn-accented bug).
Terrorsaur is Dinobot (turned from a Maximal into a Predacon and banters with Waspinator).
Inferno is Cheetor (HEY! Young one! ).
Tarantulas is Tigatron (um... pacifistic one?).
Blackarachnia is Airazor.
Quickstrike is Silverbolt.
Rampage is Depth Charge.

Um... so... Tigatron created Airazor... and Blackarachnia and Tarantulas get turned into Tarachnia (sixteen-legged spider? And Rhinox gets fried by the Vok-extracting device...) And Quickstrike brings Airazor back to the Predacons and... wait... my head hurts. X.X

As for the dark, twisted universe where the Maximals are a villianious conquering race and the Preds live in terror that there masters get bored of their slaves then just wait a bit longer...


Anyway character snipets, please no stealing as my plot bunny is much bigger than yours I assure you.

Maximals:

Optimus Primal- A killing machine, recently promoted to commanding the Warship Axalon after offing the current commander. He's cunning and enjoys inflicting pain and watching pain being inflicted to either Maximal or Predacon.

Rhinox- Rhinox, Rhinox, Rhinox, Rhinox is in fact working for Maximal Intelligence and is the controller of Protoform X. He is a master torturer and a techh wiz.

Ratrap- Rat Trap is more or less himself evil, he feels he gets shafted and wishes to rectify it but putting down others and pushing them down so he can get ahead. Is always ready with insults.

Cheetor- Is the crew's punching bag, an inexpieriened rookie everyone even Rat Trap out ranks him and so he gets the short end of the stick in any given confrontation. He has plans of his own and dreams of one day ruling the Axalon with Rat Trap his slave and Primal dead at his feet.

Tigatron- The terror of the Earth, Tigatron lives only to destroy all life on the planet creating a robotic paradise like Cybertron was. He enjoys using his twin ice and fire blasters to freeze and then cause scenery to explode especially when the target is alive.

Protoform X- Is a poor miserable creature who has been tortured into causing more violence than any being can stand. He has been made to eat other transformers and to rip entire families to shreds before being placed aboard the Axalon. He seeks for a way to end the series of torture that is his life.

Predacons:

Megatron: A compasionate agent of justice who wishes to allow the Preds a fighting chance. On a missions from the Tripredacus Council to mine for Energon though the instructions he has stumbled upon from his predecessor has given him pause. He however cannot bring himself to kill in cold blood, not even a murder like the origional Opimus Prime. Uses drawn out yesses and noooes to entertain his troops during times of stress.

Scorpinok: A competent and calculating warrior who seems to have a knack for machines if he'd just devote time to it. He instead had his body outfit for war, escueing normal hands for claws, after having seen his colony destroyed by Maximals he has a deep hatred for them and will stop at nothing to destroy each and everyone of them. Has grown tired with Megatron's ways and seeks to convince his leader that dishing it out as badly as the Maximals is the only way to win.

Waspinator: One of the most celebrated heroes since the Great War. An almost indestructible warrior, a quick flyer, and a dealy marksman he is refined and cultured always willing to help out others.

Terrorsaur: Terrorsaur is quite frankly a coward, having spent years in a Maximal holding facitlity he has learned to be afraid of his own shadow none the less he is deeply loyal to Megatron and the Predacons who rescued him and does his best to help them. Has a bad stutter especially when frightened.

Dinobot: Dinobot is a mercenary who long since renounced all faction and now works for the highest bidder, his only loyalty being to money and his contract. After all, it doesn't pay to break a contract. He is currently working for Megatron, but who knows when Primal might make a better offer.

Tarantulas: Is the resident tech head of the Predacons, keeping the Darksyde running and doing various tasks as needed by Megatron. He was appointed to this position by the Tripredacus Council and seems to have some sort of goal of his own. He is however a staunch pacifist and non-combatant, instead fixing up the other Predacons who are damaged. Even during the middle of battle.

[Safeguard]

Sounds cool. I like Protoform X, Scorponok and Tarantulas's 'bios' the most. Wonder why no one has written a Beast Wars Mirrorverse fic yet? (Or has someone actually done that? I dunno...)

I'm sure someone has...*cough* course, I haven't gotten all the kinks worked out yet as I had finished that much about the time I started my new job and have been busy, busy, busy since.



There is of course the problem with the TF Mirrorverse...basically, a very well known collobaration group tht does G1 so, I've bene careful to differintaite that it's not in that verse as well frankly it's easier for the two to be un-attached.
