Heh. Last one that was rather defiant of Megatron ended up being smacked into a wall for being too defiant. Not sure how well Arachnitron would hold up to that.

Why is it that the tiniest characters are always the ones with the most attitude lol... Arachnitron, Blackarachnia, Rattrap, Snowtrix, etc. etc. etc.

It's like a Chihuahua, the dog acts all big and mighty, when it isn't.

I don't know. I'm tiny and I have an attitude. I can put up a fight if I need to. In fact, I sometimes can have a really really bad attitude....Alak wrote:Why is it that the tiniest characters are always the ones with the most attitude lol... I guess it's because we have to compensate for our size! So we have to have a lot of attitude. Otherwise others think we can be pushed around.
I think she can handle it. The Predacon programming does enough damage to herself on her own....which is why I don't think Megatron would intimidate her.NaitoKage wrote:Heh. Antagony. A Botcon female repaint of Inferno. That Beehive bra is Ant eye breasts.

So, after reviewing the Max Speed Cap discussion, I decided to play around with Orcariner's stats. I took 2 points off of his speed and redirected them towards courage. I'm hoping 5 might be a good compromise for his flight, land, and sea travel speeds as well as his movement speed in combat. NK said Glowstick was able to travel at 500 mph with a speed 5 and TM2 Cheetor could hit mach 2 with a speed 10. Airazor can already break the sound barrier with a speed 9. Beast Wars II has S1 Optimus Primal capable of flying to mach 7 with a speed rating of 10. Even with boosters and jets, TM Orcariner won't be able to touch any of those speeds.
If you guys can give feedback on whether 5 is a good number for a chopper whale, then that would be awesome.

It fits, I mean anyone with that much strength, armor, and a forcefield is probably not going to be scared of much other then his allies not being able to survive nearly as much damage as he can.
But you know, I do find it funny that all of us water users.. our weapons are generally horrible underwater. I mean Glowstick's laser has to recalibrate itself to operate underwater and would have less range, Icebreaker might either have to develop a Supercavitation bubble missile or else his missiles would explode underwater, not to mention his ice beam would freeze the gun if shot underwater. Cecaelia is using fire daggers and a crazy gatling buster cannon..
But I guess it's lucky we never battle underwater anyway.

.. you guys are giving me a splitting headache when I try to make sense of your logic. So Glowstick can fly 500 mph in robot form using some sort of fan and with a speed cap of 5, yet S1 Cheetor's maximum speed in cheetah mode in that season is 110 mph with a speed of 10?! These are beast warriors, not G1s.. Try as I might, I cannot make sense of the way you guys are setting up the speed rates here. It just seems to me that the points are being put elsewhere without losing out on any of the character's speed. I'm sorry but I just cannot see a flying squid bot (with a speed of 5) with a device comparable to a human jetpack or a swamp boat fly 4-5 times faster than a speed 9 or speed 10 character.

Can't speak on behalf of Glowstick, but I know Megatron explicitly says that TM2 Cheetor is traveling at Mach 2. His speed rating is actually a 10+, not a 10. I forgot to add the symbol.
***EDIT***
Forget what I just said, I didn't see that you were actually referring to season 1 Cheetor's top speed.

Basically none of the scales work. There, I said it.

So, I did some looking at some other Transformer RPG stuff and found a table top game written online that has ALOT of the kinda scores, tables, and so on we want.. but it's set up for G1. However, it's also set for scales. So charts different depending on the size of the character.
More interesting however, there are two sets of charts, which effect different movements. Running movements of robots or creatures based on scale and vehicle mode movements which goes all the way to space vehicles, but we'll ignore those.
Speed score: Rolling Swimming Flying
1 25 mph 10 mph 150 mph
2 40 mph 25 mph 300 mph
3 60 mph 40 mph 500 mph
4 75 mph 60 mph M1/600 mph
5 90 mph 75 mph M2/1320 mph
6 100 mph 90 mph M3/1980 mph
7 120 mph 100 mph M4/2460 mph
8 150 mph 120 mph +M5/3300 mph
9 200 mph 150 mph M6/3960 mph
10 250 mph 200 mph M7/4620 mph
Scales: .1 anything bellow and up to 8 ft in height
.25 8 to 10 ft in height
.5 10 to 12 ft
1 12 to 15 ft
2 15 to 30 ft
Running movement
Score Scales: .1 .25 .5 1 2
1 1mph 1mph 2mph 3 mph 5mph
2 2 3 3 5 10
3 4 5 6 10 20
4 6 7 8 20 30
5 8 10 12 30 40
Think I'll stop there, as you can see there is an issue with the running scale. Why? Because it goes based off the size of the character's stride, but even though 5 should be an average score, it would make that a human and a transformer the size of a human would clearly be outrun by the human which has an average of 10 to 15 mph (if they're in shape), and this scale was to be used with animal or robot movements, mostly due to legs being the slowest form of transportation possible.
These things don't have to be used as they are, but it's up for discussion. There's also a scale on strength if your interested. It's based off size as well for how much a character can lift, and they include weights for character scales.
Edit: Reading through the manual more, non-powered flight uses the running scale, hover flight uses the swimming scale (which is mostly meant for boats) and the flying scale obviously is for jets, prop planes, and helicopters. Hm.. so if we went off this scale.. glowstick would have a hover speed of 75 mph. (I have yet to find underwater scale yet.) while Nem who uses wing flapping would have a speed of.. 20 mph? That just wouldn't work. Even a hang glider can move at 81 mph.. but I will admit, wing powered flight is not going to be as fast as a propeller or jet. Like I said, it's up for discussion.

The scale concept is nice but it has some issues.. according to this scale Cheetor's speed in S1 would be a mere 6, and speed defined the character. These are beasties and most are the size of tall humans. If a human sized bot with a speed of 5 and a G1 gestalt sized bot with the same speed were to run a race against eachother, the taller robot would win out despite same speed stat, something I doubt the scale considers. Most G1 Decepticons could fly in robot form, but they would be far faster in jetmode. So unless Glowsticks transforms into a propeller plane and flies 500 mph, it does not make sense to me that he'd be able to go that fast in robot form with a contraption that looks like a human jetpack. It really would not be fair to characters who spent their hard earned stat points to bring them up to a speed of 10 to simply be surpassed fivefold over by a barely above human sized squid robot. Beastues are really not comparable to G1s, whether it comes to strength or speeds, unless their stats are high enough for that to make sense.
If he could hold off until season 2 before showing speeds like that, it would be nice, because with the upgrades everyone gets it allows for the other characters to compensate. But for the duration of S1 I don't think he should be able to fly much beyond 100 mph max. Say compare him with a character like S1 Nemesis, who is also a flier. Her speed is 8, yet I'm limiting her movement speed based on that of the beast mode she chose. With a higher stat she should be faster than Glowstick, yet without
