I'm gonna say both:
Maximal because of the whole Preds = Cold blooded/ Maxis = Warm blooded tradition (until Blackarachnia broke it) and the fact that it stayed where it was when the other owl was brought to it.
Predacon because of the freaky eye looks of the third transformation.
