"Roger that Icebreaker, have fun with beaky but I warn you, he is a bit screechy." Feralnight replied and dove down to where Tigatron was. She had only a short time to get him towards the Nomad in robot fomr so she decided to risk it, "Maximize!" Transforming she got an arm under his paws and another under a should before beginning to flap her wings when she was sure she had a hold of him to try and fly the tiger out. "Feralnight to the Nomad I have Tigatron and Icebreaker is handling Terrorsaur." She reported.

-----------------------------

"More then likely it is. Unless there was a third ship we're facing our mysterious aliens again and this time they really meant to try something." Frilla said to Glowstick before looking to what Scorponok would say.

Snow Trix sighed, "Great, unknown alien enemies and retrieving a paniced panther, sounds fun." She said somewhat sarcastic. Truth be told she didn't know what to make of these occurrences and it was a bit disturbing, an enemy you couldn't see normally meant trouble or even death.

(( OOC: Wow. A lot of posts and not a lot of time for me to reply. I understand it's also a free-for-all now, seeing Icebreaker play hero and OP's message to Feralnight completely ignored. Could be other things overlooked but I think some of you need to slow down and read EVERY post. Now I have to spend more of MY time to work around what was missed or forgotten and try to keep it organized. :? I'm sorry if I can't be on-line more or sooner like just about everyone playing here, but that's the way it is when you work a full-time job that restricts any use of the Internet except during very short breaks that don't allow enough time to post. It's almost twenty-four hours between each of my posts, so please try to be patient with me. I want to have just as much fun with the game as everyone else. ))
"Optimus I don't even think that was the Predacons."
"No, I agree, Wintersong," said Primal.

-----
I guess you'll have to deal with that problem when it happens Trap', last time I still managed to get Orcariner home with the coyotes eating my guts.. But if I get put down, Orcariner should be able to do it.
"Yeah, dat's the way it usually works out," Rattrap muttered under his breath toward the beginning of the penguin's first sentence.

-----
I'm heading out, I'll make sure Stripes is okay.
"Wait what the...Icebreaker are you nuts?!"
"Icebreaker!" Optimus called after him but he was already gone. For a moment, he watched him through the bridge's window before looking further ahead to the field of energon.
"'Bots, what's going on?"
Upon hearing Cheetor's question, Primal explained, "I think Tigatron has been hit, but it's unclear as to who fired the shot. The Predacons are too far away for such accuracy, and they would have also been firing at one of their own. Starshadow was nearby Tigatron but I believe she didn't transform, and she may have been hit as well." Instict told Optimus that something wasn't right about the situation, which was why he didn't go rushing out there on his own like Icebreaker had. Not that he wouldn't have to aid Tigatron and Feralnight, but if he could've had some kind of an idea or a report about the situation, then he'd know a little more of what to expect when he would head out there.
"Feralnight to the Nomad I have Tigatron and Icebreaker is handling Terrorsaur."
"Copy that, Feralnight," the Maximal leader responded.

"Wintersong, when we approach the energon field, take us down putting a decent space between us and the energon," Optimus told her. "I don't think the Predacons will fire at us with the energon in close proximity, but until we know what else is going on out there, whatever or whoever fired that shot at Tigatron, we're in unpredictable territory and it would be unwise to land in the middle of it."

Noticing Feralnight through the bridge's window flying toward them, Optimus turned away from Wintersong and walked over to the side door she had exited earlier. Opening the door, he waited for her to arrive so he could assist her with Tigatron. He was certain it would not be an easy task for her to carry him in the distance that she was.

-----

Slowly coming around, Tigatron blinked and let out a low grumble of pain. But something felt off. He didn't feel the earth against his body. Instead, he found himself in the air, being carried to safety by his comrade. "What... What happened?" he asked Feralnight in a soft, low voice.

-----

The invisible being was quite pleased with the amount of destruction one of its weapons caused. This Cybertronian-designed firepower was impressive but the being had a difficult time understanding how the original one who wields such power never took advantage of it in an offensive manner, much like a Predacon would. The meteors were no accident; a simple diversion or disguise for the Vok being to arrive safely and undetected. Its primary objective was to test the abundance of firepower from the data taken from one of the most powerful Maximals that had crash-landed on the planet with his crew and was inevitably going to shake things up for the aliens. As were the Predacons. To comprehend one's firepower, their destructive capabilities, and influence of such power as well as results, one should be created almost identical to their subject and conduct various tests. And perhaps end their existance on the planet before more would be revealed to them. But if that should fail, the Vok had a back up plan. One that could not faulter or be stopped. All in due time. At the moment, the being hovered in the air in robot mode, cloaked and unphased by the raw energon fields. It studied Icebreaker's actions toward Terrorsaur, intrigued by his weapon and how well it subdued the Predacon flier.
"Well, that's just prime!"

"G-Glowstick. Did you...open fire?" "DID YOU?!"
"What's going on?!"
Sonar ignored the second in command as he optics narrowed.
No, the Leviathan hasn't fired a shot.. Nor have the maximals from what we can tell. Can you walk or do I need to recover you?
Strange, neither Maximal nor Predicon fired. Sonar thought.

Sonar ignored most of what Glowstick said.
Start descending towards the energon field. It's a big field, so keep the ship low enough to avoid both Maximal and unknown fire. The closer we get to the energon, the less likely they will be willing to shoot at us with energy or explosive weaponry. Once there, we will proceed with the plan. Snowtrix and I will retrieve the panther. She can wait until then."
If they go out they will be easy targets for who ever attacked Starshadow. Sonar told himself.

As pleasing as that sounded, if there was some thing out there and it was dangerous, it would ruin what he had planned. He couldn't allow that, getting up he went over to the second in command, but Steelclaw beat him to it.
"Scorponok, wait a second," I agree with you when you say the Maximals aren't going to attack our ship if we're next to an energon field. But something just did attack a Maximal and a Predacon at the same time. I'm with Frilla and Glowstick on this one, at least in part- something abnormal is going on and putting us next to a cache of energon without knowing the cause of that explosion seems too risky."
Sonar raised an eye brow.
"I don't presume to order you, I'm just adding another perspective which you can laugh at if you want to. But if you're going to laugh, at least give me the humiliation of explaining to me why I'm wrong."
Sonar reisisted the urge to snort, then took his chance.

"Scorponok, may I go with you to retrieve the panther? Who ever fired might still be out there, you may need some cover fire." Sonar requested calmly.
"The enemy of my enemy is my bro."

((OOC: Huzzah for evil Primal. OOP, I'm serious when I say that you should write him as the most overpowered villain ever... or just an OP who goes all out without losing rational thought.))

Standing right next to Optimus, Orcariner easily heard the entire conversation and pondered over the situation. Whatever was out there was a significant catalyst that would change their objectives. This mission was no longer solely about energon, but perhaps the team would now be facing the alien technology that plagued them since their arrival. Orcariner still vividly remembered his encounter with the alien turrets and he was not too keen on being knocked out that fast again. Primal was right in changing their course of action and it was something that the killer whale admired. Swift decision making was a trait fit for a good soldier, but add sound logic into the equation and it would a be quality found in a leader.

"I agree with your decision, Optimus," he said to the gorilla, "but whatever we're investigating is inside the energon field. I'm not fast enough to go in there and back without entering stasis lock from the radiation. I'm also too big to enter the Nomad's bridge and operate the controls. What would you have me do?"

Blazemane wrote:"Scorponok, wait a second," Steelclaw said, getting up out of his chair as Scorponok started leaving. "I agree with you when you say the Maximals aren't going to attack our ship if we're next to an energon field. But something just did attack a Maximal and a Predacon at the same time. I'm with Frilla and Glowstick on this one, at least in part- something abnormal is going on and putting us next to a cache of energon without knowing the cause of that explosion seems too risky."

Then he remembered who he was talking to.

"I don't presume to order you, I'm just adding another perspective which you can laugh at if you want to. But if you're going to laugh, at least give me the humiliation of explaining to me why I'm wrong."
Scorponok ground his jaw but he refused to turn around and face his inquirer. Still, he offered a reply to Steelclaw.

"Megatron commands us to return with energon. We will do as we are commanded. Whatever attacked Starshadow isn't important right now... continue the descent. We will grab as much as we can and then fly back to base at full speed. We'll open fire on the field and detonate whatever remains as we make our escape."

He continued walking back to his chair but quickly stopped.
Night-Hunter wrote:"Scorponok, may I go with you to retrieve the panther? Who ever fired might still be out there, you may need some cover fire." Sonar requested calmly.
"Sonar, you can come. Snowtrix will stay and help mine the field. There's no reason why more than two Predacons should be needed for the job. Whatever is out there waiting for us, we'll be more than enough for it to handle!"

(Kay. Oh, and just wondering. What are the perimeters of Clear Convoy's cloak there? Because some characters have unique sensory which may be passive or active:IE Sonar's echo location,Orcariner's echolocation, Icebreaker's infrared tactical visor, Steelclaw's sense of smell, etc.
For instance does the cloak not only bend light and radio frequencies which makes sense since radio waves are part of the electro magnetic light spectrum, but does the cloak also have some means for sound canceling and thermal wash from things like thrusters or plasma based weapons being discharged? Does the thing leave a odor? This may effect some people's posts as we continue.

Oh, and for the clear convoy reference.. http://www.tfu.info/1997/Cybertron/Clea ... convoy.htm Yay, Glowstick isn't the only one that would be made of clear plastic if he was a toy. :P )

(Sorry about that OOP, I did read the message for Feralnight and forgot to go back and double check before I posted before. Some of these are rushed as I've been getting busy again here at home but I will try a bit harder to not have that happen.)

"You and the panther back there got shot by something. But as far as i could tell it wasn't the Predacons, though I am not sure what all is happening." Feralnight replied flapping her wings a few times, glad to see the Nomad wasn't far off now. "Right now I'm getting you back to the Nomad, looks like you got hit pretty good."

(Just to clarify this but how much more distance before they really reach the deposit?I've read it is near enough to be in sight yet I am unsure to how much more before the Nomad can be landed.)

"Uh yes sir." Wintersong said, sounding a bit worried. She had never in her life drove a vehicle better yet drove one. She took a few deep breathes to calm a bit and watched them get closer and also to keep the pace Icebreaker had the Nomad at the last while still silently praying to Primus she wouldn't send the Nomad tipping over on it's side or panicing.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Snow Trix shrugged, "Whatever floats your boat commander." She said when Scorponok decided to bring Sonar instead.
((OOC: Let's just assume that both Maximal and Predacon transports are about 1000 meters from the field. Quick runners and fliers should clear that within a minute but larger characters and drilling equipment would take too long to travel that far. If the field blows, that should be a good enough distance for either transport to absorb the damage without being destroyed. As for Clear Convoy's invisibility, would it be a permanent cloak until he deliberately deactivates it or will he be visible whenever he fires/takes fire?))
(( OOC: I didn't mean to bite off anyone's heads, and I apologize if I "sounded" like that. I've just gotten tired of it happening again and again, since the beginning of this RPG. Please do the best you can, though. If it helps anyone, this is what I do: I open two windows; one to scroll through the threads and read every post, and another that I write up my reply. I find it easier this way to swap back and forth and re-read posts. Then I proofread mine before posting it and proofread it again after I post. Yes, it's a little time consuming, but it cuts out a lot of confusion for other players because it makes your post more accurate.
NK: Hey, I have that clear Convoy. :P Well, to be honest, I hadn't put that much thought into it's ability of cloaking simply because I hadn't done much with the character yet. And I didn't realize how technical this game was. :roll: But you bring up some good points. Thank you. I'd say its cloaking technology would be similar to Ravage's on Beast Wars but greatly enhanced, of course, because the Vok are zippies. :wink: It has a beast mode, so I'd give it a scent probably similar (not exact) to Primal's. It can't be detected by radar (like scanners on ships and normal internal ones on individuals) or infrared, but echo location (both like Sonar's and Orcariner's) would find it since it's still a solid object taking up space, and it has thermal wash and a sound reducing function (or field) so its thrusters aren't heard so easily when ignited and flying around. If something doesn't work, let me know, because I don't know all of the technicalities to these things and I don't have the time to look them up. :|
:lol: at Alak. For realz? We'll see what I can come up with. Right now, I'm too tired to think too far ahead. -_-zZ
As for Clear Convoy's invisibility, would it be a permanent cloak until he deliberately deactivates it or will he be visible whenever he fires/takes fire?
It only decloaks when he deactivates it, or when he's knocked unconscious. ))
"Uh yes sir."
"You're doing great, Wintersong," Optimus called over to her. She seemed a bit nervous flying the Nomad. Primal wasn't sure if she had flown or driven anything at all, but Optimus had all the confidence in her. He was sure Icebreaker had shown her what controlled what.
"Icebreaker, return to the Nomad immediately, before the Predacons send more scouts to aid Terrorsaur and Starshadow," the leader ordered through his comm. link while he waited for Feralnight and Tigatron. If the penguin retreated, then the Preds might be more likely to just grab their teammates and return to their craft instead continuing fire that might erupt the energon field. Both factions were after the same thing; the energon. It was a race between whoever drilled as much as they needed and who was the fastest at achieving it. If the Predacons got what they needed while the Maximals were still mining, it was highly likely they'd blow it to try and be rid of the Maximals.
"I agree with your decision, Optimus," "but whatever we're investigating is inside the energon field. I'm not fast enough to go in there and back without entering stasis lock from the radiation. I'm also too big to enter the Nomad's bridge and operate the controls. What would you have me do?"
Primal looked at the large Maximal, but returned his gaze outside the open door before he answered him to watch Feralnight incoming. "You'll remain with the Nomad and provide extra defense should the Predacons attempt an attack on it." The whale was right. With his size and slow land speed, it wouldn't be wise to place him in the energon field. Unavoidable and unpredictable cirumstances may change that decision later on, but for now, Optimus thought Orcariner could do more by keeping their transpot secured while the others mined and drilled or fought off other Predacons, or whatever else was out there. He knew the Nomad was equipped with external guns, but if the Predacons ambushed it with both aerial and ground forces, bypassing the turrets, they would need someone to hold them off in closer combat while the other Maximals continued drilling or gave him back-up.
-----
"You and the panther back there got shot by something. But as far as i could tell it wasn't the Predacons, though I am not sure what all is happening." "Right now I'm getting you back to the Nomad, looks like you got hit pretty good."
"Hm," Tigatron gave a low growl. "I see." He moved one of his front legs and felt a sharp pain in his joint. No doubt he had twisted it however he landed or if he had hit another rock. The tiger inhaled a sharp breath from the pain before sighing. His body remained still during the flight, his eyes wandering around the scenary and the ground below. It was quite magnificent to be so high. Granted, being out of control of his own balance was against his beast mode's instinct, and cats weren't meant to fly, but his curiosity got the better of him and he took in everything he could while he was in the air with Feralnight.
-----
The Vok being slowly moved away from Icebreaker and Terrorsaur, floating toward Starshadow who was out of the penguin's view. There, hidden by several boulders, it landed on its feet close to the panther. Whether she could smell it or not, it did not matter. When the bot decloaked, it revealed itself to look exactly like the Maximal Commander, Optimus Primal, in robot mode, staring into her eyes. The wrist cannons on his right arm were already targeted at the large feline's neck. Then, without any emotion on his face, he fired two shots at Starshadow and immediately cloaked again, at the same time igniting his own prime jets and flying off through the air away from her. No, it wouldn't hurt to play some games. To give an uncertain Predacon doubts about the real Maximal leader. But whether she believed it to be Optimus Primal or not didn't matter to him. He just wanted to mess with their heads and cause chaos and confusion while he learned about their weaponry and skills.
(( OOC: I haven't seen Starshadow lately, so give her a day or two to catch up. ))
(It can sometimes get technical, whole downside of having robots and scifi-ness. Most of that is fine, heck alot of that is already on stealth planes. Wait, you have the Clear Convoy toy? Wow. Though strangely not as surprised as I should be, what with you being the biggest Optimus Primal fan on the planet. As for Star, she said on Facebook she might not be on for a few days, I assume probably grounded and had her psp taken away again.)
Icebreaker watched as Terrorsaur more or less slammed into the ground. He slowed his board to a stop as he holstered his frost launcher on his leg, turning his head slightly as the corner of his optic detected a strange heat signature in the air, it didn't have a cybertronian energy signature attached to it, and it was too big to be a bird while too small and strange to be the sun. The signature then suddenly darted off, leaving the Penguin robot confused.
Optimal Optimus Primal wrote:"Icebreaker, return to the Nomad immediately, before the Predacons send more scouts to aid Terrorsaur and Starshadow,"
he then heard on the radio, he raised his hand to the side of his head Roger.. I'll return at-- Icebreaker then hesitated as he heard gunfire in the distance.His body then displayed a visual surge of energon running over him. Er.. At once. He had no choice, he couldn't sustain combat in the area, and was unsure of what the situation even was. Plus he had to check up on Tigatron.
Icebreaker started up his board accelerating and turning to ride towards the Nomad. Beast mode!he shouted transforming and flopping onto his belly ,sliding along the ground as if he was sledding.
__________
Glowstick watched as the others spoke, it looked like they had little choice at the moment. He then heard the gunshots on the radio, with radio static being heard on the bridge. He walked over to the radio turning it off Looks like you two will be carrying both of them.. He then walked towards the helm, climbing into the pilot seat and closing the hatch, he then started lowering the vehicle to the ground, the cargobay hatch slowly opening as sunlight from outside shined in over Scorponok.
Sonar couldn't help but smirk.
"Whatever floats your boat commander."
Rolling his eyes he went back to the monitor, he narrowed his eyes as he saw what looked like Optimus Primal, but different. His spark raced when the figure vanished into thin air.
Cloaking, very nice. This should prove entertaining. Sonar thought.
Looks like you two will be carrying both of them..
Before any one could say anything, Sonar got up, left the ship and went into beast mode and took off toward the phantom.
((OOC: Sonar has a death wish XD ))
Wintersong gave a weak nod, a bit grateful for the praise yet knew they now had to land, which she was thankful for icebreaker showing the controls before all this happened. After they finally reached close to a thousand meters (decided to just go with it) she began to slow the craft before finally settling down with little to no issues. "There. We're landed, safe and sound." She reported and looked back at Optimus and the others.
Feralnight looked at Tigatron when he let out a sound of pain, "Just hold Tigatron." She said honestly glad the Nomad finally landed which saved her some time yet the energon radiation was beginning to take affect. Flying a bit faster she saw Optimus ready to help and flew to him, "Seems he got a good hit Optimus." She said trying very hard to hold back the effects of the energon.
It had been a while since Venatrix had any contact with the Predacons, or any other transformer for that mater.
She was on her own after the Maximals claimed the new Maximal who called himself Tigatron.
The Predacon black panther had roamed the lands, and survive like a panther did in nature.
She hunted prey, and fed of her victims.
She even learned how to fish in her beastmode.
But her first contact with other transformers was with the Maximals Feralnight, and the seemingly wounded Tigatron.
She could climb one of the higher trees and attack them with a well timed, and sudden strike.
However, what was there to gain by an attack on them at that moment? What honor was their to gain by this?
There was nothing of either, so she chosen not to engage the Maximals.
She choose to follow them, and see where her new road led her.
Venatrix waited till the Maximals flew over her hiding place, and waited for a while before she started following them on a safe distance.
