Frilla put the notepad up as they were getting ready to leave, leaning back in the chair as they began to head off. "Seems they recovered quickly." She commented noticing the Maximal signatures in the water and was surprised that the vehicle held so well int he alttitude it had form jumping over them.

~~~~~~~~~~~~
Feralnight spread her wings and took flight after Valkyire, sniffing the air a bit to see of she cold get a scent from the three that had been here before. What she had noticed though that unlike her new companions she seemed to ahd taken on two animal forms ot make one, Valkyrie and Skyfire both having a single one. Giving a slight shrug the winged Timber wolf-husky kept on ehr flight path.
"Let's hope we can catch those Preds before they get away." She said.
[quote"Alright. Our plan is simple, first we stay far away enough from their craft till we determined what weaponry they have ready, then we'll attack them from a far enough distance to determine a safe zone to fall back to, if we aren't able to punch through their defenses. We are far away from home base, and cant afford to lose any of our teammates. The captured Maximal, might already be reprogrammed. But it's still our mandate to free him or her from Predacon hands. Lets hit the skies!"][/quote]
Skyfire nodded and followed Valkyrie into the skies, trying ti hide how nervous she felt about this. She wasn't just worried about her self, but she was also worried that something might happen to one of her team mates, and she didn't know what she would do if something happened to Valkyrie or any of the others.
Orcariner would have flopped around in shock if not for the extensive damage to his systems. His optics merely followed the vessel as it jumped over the marine pair. Looking back at the surprised Icebreaker, he exhaled.
"Well, that ain't good."
Steelclaw set the weapon down and was just walking towards the front of the craft when it suddenly placed itself higher in the air. Having not anticipated these changes, Steelclaw slipped to the ground on his back with a loud metallic *thud*.
"Well," he said, beginning to pick himself up, "at least this means we're making haste."
For the first time, it occurred to him that he now had some free time to reload his weapons, so he began setting about that. But he wanted to be done quick- he hadn't actually been in beast mode much, and as such, he hadn't really had the chance to let internal repairs work on his various injuries. They were starting to feel sore.
I understand... you are, after all, a predacon.
Image The Leviathan continued onward across the ocean, as they moved darkness could be seen over the horizon, for their base was still under nightfall.
Glowstick glanced back towards Steelclaw as he noticed him fall over, he raised an optic ridge, then glanced towards the side window on the craft noticing the cannon mounted Er.. you know, I probably should of asked, but how exactly did you mount that to the frame, is it fixed or does it move? Only something I'd worry about now since.. well, you know it's only eventual the Maximals will send company. When we get back to base, I'll probably rebuild the frame and set it on it's own proper turret anyway.
Icebreaker nodded looking towards Orcariner, then looked back towards the transport in the distance as it started to disappear from their view Not good at all.. he then said, feeling helpless in the situation as his injuries prevented him from being anywhere near capable of trying to keep up with a vehicle like that. Icebreaker then sighed starting to swim in the direction anyway, even if they couldn't keep up, it was still on the way to where they needed to go.
Sorry for my confusion, but are you referring only to the mounts Steelclaw put on the ship, or were you saying he'd already put the gun onto those mounts as well?
Nice Leviathan, by the way. 8) ))
(How he mounted it to the ship. *L* yes, that took like five seconds. the Glowstick sprite took much longer, and yet is probably more accurate on how messed up he'd look with transparent limbs with glowing spots..)
(Edit: Hmm.. the post isn't that clear. A fixed mount would usually mean if something is stuck in place, it doesn't move. Like guns on a jetfighter, they're always aimed forward. Move meaning.. well, can it be turned to aim at a target. Mostly asked because if the gun is stuck pointed forward, well the chances of using it would be nil. All enemys are going to be focused on the butt of the craft as they're trying to keep up with the thing.)
((OOC: Got ya. ))
"It's moveable," Steelclaw replied. "Revolves around- points up and down, the works. Of course, turning it a full 180 degrees looks like it'll put the gunner uncomfortably close to the deck's edge. Might be a bit of a design flaw that way, but then, I wanted it close to the edge so it could aim down towards water-bound targets without this ship's frame obstructing those shots."
Looking down at his gauss rifle, Steelclaw put the last necessary round in, and then transformed to beast mode. Soon after, he walked up to the cockpit and stared out through its Frankenstein windshield, watching wave after wave rush for the front of the craft only to disappear underneath it.
He cast a sullen look up to the ceiling. Somewhere on the deck, where he naturally couldn't see right now, the Maximal protoform was safely secured. He looked back through the windshield.
"Hey, do you think the Maximals are going to be able to catch up to us?" he asked without turning.
I understand... you are, after all, a predacon.
Glowstick shaked his head Not if they stay in beast mode, the ship isn't really designed to take it which is why I've eased off the throttle, but we're not too far from hitting the speed of sound. In robot mode however.. even Terrorsaur can do that on a good day. Those extra energon cells have boosted power enough so that even our current rockets can be supported.
If they attack I'll have to ease off the throttle alot to deal with your gun's power demands and be at a low enough speed so anyone on the deck isn't blown off.. But I'm not too worried.. I moved the protoform inside the ship for a reason, if they try to shoot us down and sink the ship, they wont be able to recover the protoform, specially with their aquatic units damaged. None of those fliers I saw can swim, and once the pod reaches a certain depth, it would be impossible for any maximal to get to. Valkyrie probably will take all that into account.
I also left the Mag locks up in case of combat on the deck above, worse comes to worse they can be used to grab on and not slide off.. but I have a feeling if we are attacked, Sonar and I will have to head out while you and Frilla gun.. which just leaves our..er.. intoxicated pilot.
he then laughed a bit nervously at the last statement, the idea of having a injured medicated Starshadow pilot the ship seemed a bit dangerous, but at the moment such things were a possibility, not a reality.
Glowstick then turned his head slightly while flying Hmm.. I wonder what they will try..
"We might be lucky enough the Maximls wouldn't risk taking down the craft that has one of their own comrade within or on it. If they did and they lost the pod then it would weigh heavy on their shoulders." Frilla said after being quiet for some time. Yes, she didn't often take par tin most conversations but that didn't mean she didn't listen. As much as it looked like the frilled lizard didn't pay attention. She riased her head to look toward Glowstick then, "Then again no telling what they will be risking. Their marine unit were rpetty damaged from the looks of it, the fliers might be more concerned for them then worrying about us. For the most part at least." She said.
Steelclaw turned his head towards the back of the ship.
"You brought the protoform in already?" he asked in bewilderment. He must have not been paying attention.
Then he brought a paw up to his muzzle. "Of course- right after you handed me the electric weapon." He brought his paw back to the ground. "I'm just... not with it right now."
He took another look out the front of the craft, and then headed out of the cockpit, moving towards the ship's carrier bay.
"Well, somebody alert me if anyone shows up."
Sonar ignored most of the conversation that was going on between the Bear and the Squid.
"Then again no telling what they will be risking. Their marine unit were rpetty damaged from the looks of it, the fliers might be more concerned for them then worrying about us. For the most part at least."
"Please, Maximals wouldn't even think about leaving thier own behind. ITs hard wired into the programming its impossible for them to leave thier own behind." Sonar said shifting a little.
"You brought the protoform in already?"
Sonar shook his head, the bear could be such an idiot at times.
"Of course- right after you handed me the electric weapon." "I'm just... not with it right now."
No, really? Sonar though rolling his eyes.
"Well, somebody alert me if anyone shows up."
"Don't worry," Sonar said standing and walking toward him. "I got your back." He smiled at the last part.
"The enemy of my enemy is my bro."
Night-Hunter wrote:"Don't worry... I got your back."
Steelclaw turned his head and saw Sonar walking towards him. Noticing the smile the scientist had used to add an eerie tone to his last comment, Steelclaw simply returned a smile of his own.
"Well, thank you," he replied cheerfully. "I'm glad for every wing 'bot I can get. Nobody can make it in this life alone, after all."
He continued walking and then turned his head once more.
"Are you coming to the carrier bay, too?" he half-invited/half-asked Sonar.
"Well, thank you," "I'm glad for every wing 'bot I can get. Nobody can make it in this life alone, after all."
"Only if you have what it takes to survive on your own." Sonar said simply.
"Are you coming to the carrier bay, too?"
Sonar shrugged. "I might as well, seeing how i have nothing better to do."
He then followed the bear into the carrier bay.
"The enemy of my enemy is my bro."
Frilla looke dbakc at Sonar for a moment before looking towards the window. The bat mgiht have been right, but would they really risk attacking the aircraft and possibly losing the pod along with it? Surely not. Then again the Maximals had proven to be stubborn. "Hm..."
