Why do people hate soccer moms so much?

Unread post by Prime Boss »

This should be interesting thread to talking about. Upon my curiosity, I couldn’t understand why people hate soccer moms with the passion, because they’re saying that soccer moms is ruining everything like tv, video games. From what I heard, soccer moms wants to banning a certain games, that causes lots of people to pissed off to no end.

I want to know what’s the deal with people hating soccer moms so much. I know they’re the responsible for censoring everything on the tv, fearing that it could bring the nightmares to kids.

Also they’re saying that soccer moms is the disgrace of the humane society in the human history. Are they the disgrace to the humane society? Just want to know why they’re doing this.

Well, the main reason why a lot of people don't like soccermoms, is because aside, from trying to get things banned, which violates freedom speech, thet blame the medium they try to have banned for thier kid doing something stupid or something like that. That a lot of people feel that that lazy parents expecting the government or whatever to do thier parenting for them by asking them to ban stuff they feel is inapporiate for thier kids, instead of just putting things into context for the kid.

Not to mention the fact that it's the sheltered kids who usually break out into the party scene when they go to college lol. The more you let your children gain an identity other than a trophy kid, the more likely they'll be able to make their own decisions in the future. Otherwise, without mommy telling them what to do, they'll just give into peer pressure.

As for TV censorship, I really don't care if they ban swear words or bloody stuff. Beast Wars got a LOT of stuff through censorships which makes the show appealing to little kids and adults.

Oy, I can relate to that. Once I was able to get out on my own for the first time, so to speak... I totally caved to the influences around me, because, in a manner of speaking, that was what I had been taught to do.

The kids who grow up very sheltered, well, one of two things happen. Either they totally give into that party scene you mentioned, where they totally cave in to peer pressure cuz they always had other people making decisions for them and thinking for them, OR, they become furious upon realizing that they've been sheltered so much and that watching a bit of violence on TV won't kill them. In my case, I went through a combination of both.

There were times when I almost gave up my Christian faith simply because I felt like I had been scared and pressured into believing a certain way more than anything else. But it's safe to say God never gave up on me. And He's more stubborn than I am. >.>

I agree completely. Frankly, if everything is nicey-nicey and %100 peaceful, it makes the show BORING. Does anyone seriously want to sit there watch someone walking through a field of pink roses for half an hour? I don't think so.

I think it's terrible (and I'm not blaming you, it's people in general) that generalize 'soccer moms' as being the hateful thing.

I think they're called that because Soccer moms, are seen as busy bodies living vicariously through kids, and sticking their noses where it doesn't belong or feel they know the best or are over sensitive.

These are people (because it's really not -soccer moms- but certain people in general) that hate movies that have an iota of violence, games, sports, things in general.

These people believe that violence is a modern invention, and that people weren't getting their jollies from not watching t.v back in the past, but actually watching public hangings and beheading's. Violence has always provided a form of entertainment, and is nothing new at all.

But these so called 'soccer moms' are people who are the kinds on home owners associations, people who hover over their kids, and over all, are busy bodies and just annoying individuals.

Yeah, even though I don't like people like that, I do sometimes wonder why they're called Soccermoms.
