Anime Evolution Gift Art

Unread post by Optimal Optimus Primal »

Hey, guys! I'mma still slowly working on my report for the Anime Evolution convention I went to in mid June in Vancouver, BC, Canada, but I figured I'd at least share with you the drawings I gave to only some of the voices that were there (because there were tons of them and I didn't even get to meet them all!).

Silverbolt
Scott McNeil showed up, so I was lucky I brought this drawing along because he was never a confirmed guest. It was the third time I met him, and the only character he needs to complete his collection is Waspinator!

Jetstorm
Yay for Brian Drummond! I loved Jetstorm in Beast Machines. This is my very first drawing for BM.

Cheetor
First season Cheetor for Ian James Corlett. I don't think it came out as well as I had hoped, but he still loved it. I always have a difficult time drawing Cheetor. ...Maybe it's because he was one of my least favorite characters. :P Sorry, Cheetor fans! He just kept putting my favorite character in harm's way and that was getting annoying.

BW Ravage Forever
This was for Lee Tockar who voiced Ravage in Beast Wars. Some of you might be wondering why I didn't give him my first drawing of BW Ravage (which I thought came out really good), and it's really quite simple. I LOST the original drawing! So I had to redraw some of it (this was all the time I had to do anything the day BEFORE I was leaving), and this what I did in about four or five hours straight. In the end, to see his reaction, it was totally worth it. ...Still wish I could find that other drawing, though! I searched for it for three days!

Double Trouble
Last, but certainly not least, was this painting I gave to Garry Chalk (Optimus Primal from Beast Wars, Optimus Prime from Armada, Cybertron, Energon), and whom I met for the fifth time now. It is his dogs with, what's supposed to be, a sandy-like border because he always walks them at the beach. I don't know how to paint sand, so... he understood. Coindentally, I got to meet his dogs while I was visiting, so it was just weird that I had painted this when I did. Anyway, I think it came out great, which means a lot to me because I never draw anyone's pets. I don't even like to draw my own. Heh.

So that's it. I wish I had had the time to draw a lot of ReBoot characters because many of the voices, and the co-creator, were there from the show. :( My report will have plenty of photos, and maybe some videos if I feel like uploading any... it's such a pain to do that...

Thanks for looking! ♥

These are all great!

You lost your Ravage? That is sad, because that drawing is awesome. Still, your "replacement" is wonderful.

:( Yeah. *hangs head in shame* I can't tell you how frustrated I was when I couldn't find it anywhere. I have no idea where it is. *sniffle* But thank you. The "replacement" did end up being well enough.
