References so vague only a BW freak would squeak

Unread post by Jagna »

Remember that thread I made aaaaaaaaages ago about BW being referred to in other sci-fi shows/movies?

I was watching this really old movie called, 'The Sting', with Robert Redford in 1973 (!!!), and...now, I can't remember in exactly what content it was spoken...I heard "Transmutate"!!!

I had to ask my dad if my ears were working properly. Of course, he didn't understand the significance of Transmutate :p

And, has anyone ever watched 'True Crime Authors' on the History Channel? Well, all I heard was "bird dog device". Made me LoL a bit XD

Anyone else seen/heard anything soooooo vaguely but indefinately tied to Beast Wars? Or am I just that pathetic? :D

I dunno but here's something interesting only a TF geek might find amusing. The Matrix is mentioned in the Bible!

I don't know about you, but I found out that there was a rip-off of Beast Wars mentioned in a Powerpuff Girls ep, only the Boss Monkey was called "Osterich Primal". I read it up on Wikipedia somewhere. My response: What the pfargtl? (For pronounciation, visit www.homestarrunner.com and go to toons. Find it yourself XP)

...Now if you'll excuse me, I have to bang my head against a blunt object. :P

Silver, you are completely NUTS. We like it like that. Don't change. XD

There HAD been a clothing store called "Rampage" in the North East US for a while, and I don't know if it's still in business, but it sold ... not goth clothing ... but preppy girly wannabe kinda clothing. I passed it. Stopped. Turned around. Looked. And nearly had kittens. It was that full of win.

Rampage would have been completely dumbfounded. I swear it.

Well, one time me and guys from a gaming club I'm in were playing Betryal at House on the Hill and we got the haunt where the traitor tries to kills us with gaint bugs and one of those bugs was a wasp. When one of the guys noticed that a gaint wasp unmong he said "Wazzpinator Terrorizze" and the I was the only who laughed when he said that. Everyone else playing was just quite like they didn't get it.

Oh, I have another one. While in my Jewelry and Metals class, when the teacher was telling us how to cast, there's one point where you have to put your cast in water and he said, "Plunge it like a Depthcharge" XD I almost wanted to laugh.
