The Valley Of Memories!  

Part 1, TRYING To Get There

It's been a week, or so, since I came here. I've had a tour of the base and have been shown how to work the controls and other things. I found out how I got here, the planets and energy waves in this part of the galaxy, and mine, were in the right place at the wrong time and the lighting with my computer triggered a transform-transport (that's what Rhinox called it) that brought me here. I don't know why I'm here, but I'm not complaining. Well… OK maybe a little. Do you know what the BEST thing is? Depth Charge's quarters are right by mine! (If you haven't guessed I have a crush on him. Big time!!)

~*~*~*~*~ The dust was heavy in the air. The Paradise Museum was half in rubble. A replica of a Roman column pinned Kristina to the ground by the waist facing down. A door opened, the 5 terrorists came out and ran to what was left of the exit door. The 5th one stopped looked at Kristina in surprise because she had one of the bombs she disabled before the others blew. He walked toward the girl picking up one of the old swords that used to be one of the displays, and smiled. Kristina panicked and tried to get free but couldn't, she look up in horror at the terrorist now in striking distance.

"This should teach you never to mess with affairs that don't concern you." He said and swung the sword. Kristina screamed and tried to move.

I woke from the nightmare with a start and sat up fast looking around in panic, memory hit, Beast Wars. I rubbed the scar on my jaw-line and cheek. Looked at the watch, 2:30 A.M...

"OK, I can't go back to sleep." I said.

I got dressed in my camp uniform *stunner*. It wasn't that bad just a pair of windbreakers and a V-neck colder sky blue, aqua and white. I don't want every one to see me in my miniskirt and sailor top (O.O will most likely reaction). I'll wait till I'm sure nothing is going to happen before that camp uniform goes on.

I opened the door and went out to the main room. Rhinox was there, he looked up from something he was doing, and saw me.

"Hi!"

"You're up early. Are you all right?" Rhinox asked.

"Yeah, I'm fine. I just can't sleep. What are you doing?"

"I'm trying to make and install an energy detector for you." He said.

"A… What??" I gave him the 'funny look'.

"Optimus wants it so we can find you when you're out of the base." Rhinox said

"Oh." I closed the distance between us.

"Do you have a problem with this?" He asked.

"No, not really. To tell the truth, I think it's a good idea. And I don't blame you for wanting to know where I'm at." I smiled. "Plus I don't what to get lost or some thing like that."

"I'm glad you think that way Kristal." Optimus said from behind me.

*SPINE CHILL!!!!*

I turned to face Optimus, "I really hate it when people do that to me. That's my job." I said in Spanish.

"What did you just say?" Optimus asked confused.

"Nothing important!" I really need to keep my big mouth shut!

"Then why did you say what you said?" Rhinox asked.

"Oh.… Bad habit!" I blushed, "Hehe…I need to break it."

Optimus chuckled, "Kristal I think it safe to say, you're most likely going to stay with us for a while. So I decided to give you some liberties. You are a part of are team now, you have the same rights as any one of my crew."

"Oh…Cool." I said. Rhinox chuckled, I gave him a puzzled look, "What??"

Optimus smiled, "Kristal I like to send you on a mission, with Depth Charge (*Trying to contain ultra happiness* YESSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) And Rattrap (NOOOOO!!!!!! NOT HIM!!!!) To scout a valley with energeon."

Trying to act calm I looked at Optimus, "Are you sure? I mean, those two aren't bro's you know?"

The two looked at me surprised. "Hey! Just 'cause I've been here for a week, or so, doesn't mean I can't check--Oops! Didn't mean to say that!"

Optimus smiled, "That's ok. But why are you up so early?"

"Can't sleep." Even if I could I don't want to, the nightmare/memory/dream/thingy will be there.

"Well you should try to get some rest." Optimus said.

"You're going to need it when Depth Charge and Rattrap go at it, again." Rhinox said.

"Ok." I went back to my room.

5 or 6 hours later

I sat with Rhinox trying to make the tracker work. (I had changed into a swim suit & jeans. What?! It's summer I'm allowed!) Optimus was talking to Depth Charge. Rattrap was...Umm...I don't know where he is and I don't much care. "Rhinox do you think that should go there?" I asked.

"What? That's a good idea Kristal. How did you know?" Rhinox said.

"I--"

"WHAT!?" Rhinox and I jumped, "You want me to go WHERE!?" Rattrap 'asked'. We looked at Optimus and the others.

"Shut up mouse." Depth Charge said.

"Hey you and 'da kid can go risk ya' own skidplates if you want Fins, but I ain't!" Rattrap said, "I've seen to much weird 'dings on 'da scanners. I ain't going!!!"

"Wimp." I muttered.

"Rattrap if there is something in that valley. We need to get to it before the Predicons do. Do you think Megatron hasn't sent someone out already?" Optimus said.

"What do the Preds want with that place Rhinox?" I asked.

"Since we found the valley, it has been giving off strange energy readings for a while now. Do you still want to go?" He said.

"Why wouldn't I? I'm not a catfish, like Rattrap. Although I wouldn't mind going swimming." I said looking at the others, then turned back to the tracker.

"I wouldn't mind leaving Rattrap here and go on the mission alone with Depth Charge." I said in Spanish.

"Here's the tracker Kristal." Rhinox said, "Optimus we're ready over here."

"Ok. Ready you two?" Optimus asked DC & RT. They said 'yes'(more or less). He turned to me, "Are you ready?" Optimus asked. I nodded 'yes' then went over to Depth Charge. We looked at each other and had the same idea. We went to the doors of the base, leaving Rattrap still complaining to Optimus.

"Alright Boss Monkey but if I get... Hey!! Wait up you guys!" Rattrap said.

"B-Bye!" I called over my shoulder. Depth Charge looked at me and smiled to himself (I think, hard to tell). Rattrap caught up to us outside (dang it!), Depth Charge transformed into flight mode and said, "Get on, hold on, and stay on." We did. He took off, fast!

in the air after leaving the base:

"How far is this place anyway?" I asked, mostly to Depth Charge then Rattrap. He seemed to know that somehow.

"About 950 clicks, or so." Depth Charge said.

"In miles...?"

"Aaa...825 miles, give or take." Rattrap replied. He said something else but I didn't catch it.

"Kid, hold on." Depth Charge said, I grabbed him on the shoulder. He shook for a minute, Rattrap yelled and held on too then he said, "Ok! Ok! I'm sorry!" Depth Charge stopped.

"Are you ok Kristal?" Depth Charge asked.

"Am I O.K!?!? Are you kidding!?!" I shouted, "That was more fun then the roller coasters in the fair at home!!!" I know, I know I'm strange! =^_^=

almost there:

I was lying on my stomach; looking ahead (I was mostly staring into space then looking for preds). Rattrap and Depth Charge were arguing.

"I can't believe 'da boss monkey put me with you. I don't mind her 'dough." Rattrap said & looked at me staring at nothing, totally bored out of my wits.

"Can't you shut up for 2 nano-clicks mouse?" Depth Charge asked.

"No he can't." I said still bored, "How much longer?"

"Just a few more cycles." Depth Charge said. The two started to go at it again. I sat up and turned, to the way we came, and looked at the jungle. I was about to make a comment to Rattrap when something caught my eye; I looked carefully at the jungle. To my surprise, two big missiles came out of the trees!

"Depth Charge, INCOMING MISSILES!!!!!!!!" I shouted. That made Rattrap turn to look at them.

"Oh-no! Look out Fins!" He said.

"Hold on you two!" Depth Charge commanded & dodged them, he fired one of his own missiles; it hit one of the others. The other made a U turn back to us and Depth Charge dodged it. Rattrap & I were trying to hold on the best we could. With his free hand Rattrap pulled out his gun and tried to hit the 2nd missile. He missed.

"For the Royalty!!" Inferno yelled coming out of the trees with Waspinator.

"Pred attack!" Rattrap said.

"You think!?" I said as a blast came by. I heard Rampage laugh and a missile came out of nowhere; it hit one of Depth Charge's jets. He started to shake violently and went down.

"Hey Fins what are 'ya doing? Pull up!" Rattrap said.

"Can't. My jet's out, I can't sustain altitude. We're going down!" Depth Charge said.

"We're all gonna' DIE!" Rattrap said.

"Rattrap, Shut Up!" Depth Charge and I said in unison.

Half way down Depth Charge transformed into robot mode, throwing Rattrap & I off his back. "AAAHHH!!!" We screamed at the same time.

"HELP!! I don't have a parachute!!" I screamed.

"Me neither!" Rattrap said. I screamed again, Rattrap & I grabbed each other's hands and held on tight. Depth Charge reach up, with his left hand, and grabbed me by the waist & pulled me down to him. Sense I was holding Rattrap's hand he was pulled down too. With his right hand Depth Charge took out his big gun and fired at the preds. He got the two flyers, but he couldn't get Rampage.

"All the powers near and far, ancient warriors of time and space, I call upon the powers of the Silver Moons. Bring us to a sanctuary!" I yelled. Strings of white energy sounded us in a sphere. Then I saw a full silver moon...Oh-no, not now! Please, no, no, no, nooo, I don't won't to hurt anyone again. I thought as the last strands of sanity faded to give way to the darkness. The dark thing I might be…no that I AM becoming now!
