A Hero's Code
By Starath
(For those who are heroes, and those who aren't-we all have Honor.)
Honor stands alone as a strong oak against the fierce wind.
Honor is a dam holding back doubts and fears, a wall that never gives.
It is the iron grill structure that holds up one's morals.
Honor promises a friend to never tell anyone their darkest secrets.
It whispers in your ear, telling you to be strong and to never give up on life's hopes and dreams.
Honor refuses to let you cheat on a math test.
Honor's sharp blade protects the weak-- and friends.
He beats up the bully and gives the child back her lollipop.
Honor makes you stiffen when you see someone hurt.
Honor breathes within a warrior who always fights for the right thing.
She is a young woman keeping herself alive on will alone.
Honor refuses to strike back.
Honor erupts to defend goodness.
Honor sometimes stands completely alone, when all others have given into their weaknesses.
Honor is a struggle.
What is right?
Honor may be elusive.
It is not black-and-white.
It is a personal code.
Honor's strength forces us to live and be warriors of our own.
Honor does the right thing.
Honor lives in you and me.
