ok, this was a few days ago, but i watched it again and now im REALLY HYPED UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

okay...watching stargate (here we go again...) it was ssn 5(?) BEAST OF BURDEN (can you see where this is going?...)
daniel and jack were talking to this big fat guy who named himself colonel coz he is the 'head trader' *giggles* and he is telling them about how they overrid the Unas...

iv tried to put this sound clip on photobucket, but for some reason it wont take it...grrr. anyway heres the quote:

Daniel:(blablabla carrying on from previous convo) "and how did you aquitre thiese...[seven] symbols?"
Big Fat Guy: "I paid dearly for them. they have been passed down, through certain families, since the BEAST WARS."...(AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA)
Jack: "Beast Wars?"

WOOOOOHOOOOOO! DIRECT BEAST WARS REFERENCE ON ANOTHER SHOW!!!!! (i love Gary, but he never said 'beast wars' in that russian accent....(that IS him, rite?)
 i only noticed a few days ago  when i saw his name in the credits and i was like...wooaaaaaaaa....duuuuuude how the *inserts very unrecognisable but offensive arabic swear word* did i EVEr miss tht? truth be told, i only saw Gary in an interview on the DVD review thing silver gave us...and i looked closely at colenol (russian name)ikov...and i was the stupidest person in the WORLD! i said to my mum OMG ITS GARY CHALK BLOODY HELL! "whos gary chalk?" rrrr)

well THAT rant is over...btw i think we shoud nitpik and see wht movies/tv shows have even a slight ref to BW. ie says 'beast' and 'wars' in same movie...

Colonel Chekov? I posted a picture of Jack (Richard) and Chekov (Garry) before! XD I don't believe I've come across this episode yet. Blast it all! >.< LoL For you, Jagna, I'll post the pic again.

Image

Chekov rules because he's always biting at SGC's ankles. XD Garry's Russian accent is awesome, and it's even cooler when he actually speaks Russian.

That's so awesome that you saw that. I can't wait to get into Season 5. I want to hear BW mentioned in SG! XD

This reminds me! Friday night I was watching Sci-Fi since they've been airing some SG1 episodes from 11pm to... whenever. After 1am, evidentally. Anywho, there was an episode called "Frozen," I believe (no clue what season), that was on at midnight, and the first name credited was Venus Terzo! I said, "Awesome! I finally get to see the episode I heard Venus was in!" My mom gives me a blank look. "You know, Venus Terzo!" A pause. I sighed and added, "She voiced Blackarachnia." My mom, "Ooooh. Cool." XD So that was spiffy. I believe it was also that episode (getting back to other references to shows mentioned in SG) that Jack and Teal'C were alone and Jack said, "D'oh!" and Teal'C asks him what's wrong. Jack said, "I forgot to tape the Simpsons." Teal'C gives him a blank look. "It's very important to me!" Jack tells him. LoL I laughed. The Simpsons rock.

Wasn't there someone else that someone mentioned that a BW VA was on SG1? I've seen Garry (many times), Scott and Venus. I could've sworn there was someone else... Maybe it was Scott. But I didn't see him until the 10th season, I think.

 soz bout tht. i did wonder wht happened to my thread....

anyway about the reference to the other sci-fi things...
this is vague and not as impressive as the stargate one, but i think it might have been star wars: either one of the movies or that stupid cartoon series thing: where someone said:"we are at war with the beast!"

any good?

okay...if no one is interested in that topic, we can keep rambling on about BW appearences in stargate! i dont mind!!! :D :D :D

Nice nice and double nice. I heartily approve of this thread. I have little of value to contribute because I think I see a bit of Beast Wars in everything but I will be gladly watching where this goes.

I suppose the only thing that I have a direct comparison with (and I have used this many a time before) is that the Neo vs Smith fight scene was a pale attempt at Optimus vs Megs in Beast Machines. Think about it. (Effectively) abandoned planet. Two diametrically opposed opposites. AND they merge at the end. The defence rests. Well I'm overtired and need to get back to coughing up my lungs again *stupid flu* so I'll cut the rambling short. Great work Jagna.

XD Jagna, you were all over this like flies on poo! Goodness. That's awesome! I had a feeling Blu was probably in the show somewhere along the way. I'd love to see that episode. But to hear about Jim and Colin, that's pretty schweet. XD Tarantulas was voiced by Alec Willows, by the way, and no, he didn't play Catherine's boyfriend. I actually remember that episode, surprisingly. LoL

So, that was Season 6. Gee whiz. I don't know even know what season I'm watching now at 6pm. XD I keep forgetting to look it up. "Prodigy" is on. I'm thinking maybe... season three? Four? I don't know. I definitely need to buy the DVD box sets, me thinks. Whenever I have the monies.
btw i dont know how but somehow i KNEW ud be the first to reply to this, OOP!!!
XD I couldn't help myself. I love the Gare-bear. He's so kind and huggable.

Thanks for looking those up, Jagna! I'll have to watch out for those episodes now and let my brother know. XD Sheer awesomeness. I'm excited to catch them.

I know this is a little off topic, but would you happen to know which episode(s) of SG-1 had Dom DeLuise in it? He's great too. I loved him as Tiger in An American Tale: Fivel Goes West. I'm pretty sure he was in SG-1, anyway. I saw the episode years ago when I noticed his voice and saw him, so it's prossible I could be mistaken for the show... It was definitely Dom, though. Thanks!

Hope you feel better soon, Silver. It's no fun being sick. I, myself, have had enough of throwing up when I was younger and all that... stinky sickness stuff.

Thanks Op. I'm slowly getting back on track through sheer force of will... and copious amounts of drugs

As for Dom, he played Ergo in the epsiode that goes by the same name. That is one of my favourite episodes where Ergo gets inside the heads of the SG1 team and just wants to play games, etc. Much fun. Can't remember the season but I'm sure you can locate it now :D

there is actuall some sort of deluise family thing going on with sg-1...if you look at the beginning credits of the show:
creative consultant: ...deluise
executive producer: ...deluise

one of the deluise brothers played sam's boyfriend in ssn 7/8/9??? he also played bug in 3rd rock from the sun!

i never noticed the deluise conspiricy untill my sis bothered to look it up on imdb and ruined tht experience for myself! hmph! :x

anyway im being bugged for the comp...im at Nightshaft's! just had a sleepover...no pillowfights tho Silver, sorry! :P :P she was kind enough to let me use her internet connection to watch feral scream and nemesis on youtube!

lol bye!

G SG-1 AND BW!!!!

You're welcome, Silver. And thank you for telling me about the episode with Dom! I can't wait to see it again... whenever that'll be. >.<

You know, Jagna, I was wondering if Dom was related to Peter because I always see Peter's name in the opening credits (of course). I should have known. XD "Ah yes, silly me."

I feel like drawing Tiger now... LoL

Not a prob Optimal Op. Im glad at any opportunity I get to express my nerdy prowess

Jagna.. I'm disappointed. I may have to instigate a pillow fight to make up for your lack of one... although I am at work at the moment and I don't know where I'd find a pillow, however it would make the day a lot more interesting  Good choice of epsiodes by the way. I just love sitting back and quoting the covenant of Primus parts. :D

One more thing. Wormhole Extreme is my favourite episode due to the way it sends up the entire series. In that episode, I think its Pete De Louise who plays himself as the director of Wormhole Extreme. His catch phrase throughout the episode is him stand there with the pyro guys and them letting off and explosion. Every time he screams "BIGGER!!!" by the end of it, there is a massive burst and he still yells "BIGGER!!" brilliant. I completely respect a guy who can laugh at himself. People laugh at me all the time.... wait..... :D

Hey! I just have one for this forum. I was reading some months ago a Sci-Fi Book, it contained many stories. (I'm translating it for the original is in Spanish) In one of them thay talked something like this:
1 - These are signals of the Beast War
2 - You mean like some animals fighting?
1 - But these were no common beasts they were smart & could hunt each other!

Ha! I laughed over this for a week or so, I know maybe it was the author's imagination, however you can't stop making a match to the Tv Show concept!

NIIIIIICE!!!

you kinda have to tell us what book that was.....animal assassins? heeheehee...*does tarry laugh*
