The Intergalactic Highway

Having just had a strange dream this morning, I recalled some of the even stranger dreams I have encountered throughout my life. So if anyone has wierd/crazy/funny/terrifying dreams share them with the community.

This morning's dream:

it started out at my cousin's place. We were standing around in there getting ready for something. It appeared abundantly clear that both my sister and I were preparing to go somewhere. After many pieces of broken conversation, it was determined that we were being chased by this guy in a large Cadillac who wanted to kill us (if you have seen Highway Men, it is the bad guy from that movie, if you haven't seen it do so because it is a cool film). We were running about the house grabbing supplies, equipment, etc. but every time we got to my car, we would run back inside for something else. Then my dad popped up and asked me about his car keys. I told him that I had more important things to worry about at the time (like our lives) and continued to rush about. The tension continued to build and I was getting more anxious because we were taking too long and then finally we were ready. As I walked to the driver's side door I reached into my pocket and found my Dad's keys I took them out and threw them at him. As the keys left my hand, the ominous roar of an engine could be heard and the headlights of the Cadillac appeared as it swung around the corner bearing down directly towards me... and then I woke up.

woa...wierd...the only dreams that scare me are my reaccuring (sp? wateva) teeth nightmares where they all and i mean ALL fall out...okay. this morning's dream:

i woke up in the middle of my holiday and my mum tells me its time to get ready for school. for some reason i comply, but i tell her its the holidays for gods sake. then it turns out my dad has already left and my mum is on her way out the door...so i panic and start putting on my tights and skirt and rest of uniform. didnt have time to eat (never do) i look at my watch and its like 7:27 (out here we have to be in school by 7:30)...i thought id be ok coz i live only a 3 minute walk away from school and they never ring the bell on tiome. then i look at my timetable and i have swimming tht day, so i hav to stark packing up for tht. instead of a towel, however, i put in my cat (?) and a pair of clogs. then as i was in the living room about to run out, when my mother introduced me to her boyfrien hulio (?!!!) and then this fat guy comes in and chats me up telling me his name is guido...next thing i remember im at the school rerception and it is 7:51! i go to the security guy knowing that he knows im never late (just so you guys know, im not a goodie two shoes, i just dont like being late anywhere...im not egyptian[inside joke so dont repeat that]). but there is a new guy at the thing and makes me sign 3 different late-books and sends me into the hall. then i go into the hall and the rest of the dream was me playing wheel of fortune with mickey mouse... then somehow i ended up back home in the middle of the night and mickey mouse asked if i could share my bed with his dad and dennis the menace...then i heard sentinel say 'lights on enjoy the music'...and then i woke up to my music alarm...

i am the queen of conscious ANS subconscious randomness...
but trust me i usually have a dream that is either BW related or startgate related...dunno bout this one...

Oooo. I haven't had any StarGate dreams yet. It's bound to happen, I'm sure. XD

Anyone have dreams where you fly? I love those. It's so awesome. XD I've never drowned, though, nor fell down an endless pit. o.O Some people dream those a lot. Not sure what that's supposed to mean.

I can't recall any dreams from last night/this morning. I know I've had some where I'm injured. Actually, a lot of them are like an action movie. LoL I go around and kick butt. And then many of them are of pets that I've lost. They're alive in my dream even though I know in my dream that they're supposed to be dead but I don't care because now they're alive again. Well, for several minutes anyway or however long the dream really lasts. Heh.

Those reoccurring dreams are kind of creepy. I don't have too many of those, though. Have you ever had one where you find something you've been looking for but by the time you wake up you either don't remember where you found it in your dream or you can't remember what it was? >.<

And then there are the really cool dreams. You know, the ones where you're hanging out with some really cool actors. You guys probably think I'm crazy. I remember having one that had Bruce Willis in it. Probably because of that Hostage movie or the Fifth Element. There was even one with Tommy Lee Jones. Which is weird because he isn't one of my favorites. ...Must have been watching MIB the night before or something. LoL A couple with Tom Hanks who is one of my favorites. And of course a few with Garry Chalk. XD

Let us not forget about our Beast Wars dreams. Right? Those always rock. Haven't had one for a couple years now, though. *sniffle* I remember two out of the several that actually kind of showed me what was going to happen in the show before the episodes aired. One reminded of my Ravage's ship even though Ravage wasn't involved yet. And another had Rhinox politing a small craft and it was all very similar to when he flew that Autobot escape shuttle into the Nemesis.

I once had a dream that I was being chased by Jason (Friday the 13th) then all of a sudden it's an episode of The Proud Family (???).

Anywhooo... I once had a dream taking place in Beast Machines. Megatron wanted the codes to the Ark (I had been curious about the codes for a while back then) from Blackarachnia (???) or he'd use a special device to make people mindless.
They somehow start a fight and Optimus orders Rattrap to shutdown the machine. RT does this and as Megatron heads towards him, RT's head grows to the size of a giant while Megatron (Before the giant head form so he looked like a football player in a dress) shrunk to the size of an ant.
Rattrap makes that noise he made in Power Surge before Terrorsaur recharged and Megatron runs away. I woke up laughing and couldn't get back to sleep after that.

... I know, weird.

Awesome. So thus far we have a cat towel, a random celebrity meeting agenda and Jason meets the Proud Family. I love looking at the strangeness of the human phsyce.

On the flying note I had this brilliantly pointless dream. I walked out of the Mechanical Engineering building at uni and I suddenly discovered that I could hover Magneto-style. So I levitate a few feet off the ground and fly around doing stunts and tricks. It felt great. The surge of power. The ability to go anywhere I please. Then I started heading down the university walkway (which is quite long) and I tear over the heads of all these amased uni students. I get to the end of the walkway which comes to the main road in the area. I then proceed to hover across the road, land and then get on the bus to go home. YES. GET ON THE BUS!! I was flying around and yet I decide to get on the bus. Makes perfect sense.

I've had pretty much every recurring dream. Teeth falling out, being chased, falling through my bed into the pit of oblivion, walking into an exam naked, wierd crazy stuff. Apparently they are directly related to the levels of stress you are feeling at the time or some such phenonmena. Either way they make for fun stories.

Hmm, dreams...

Well, I do recall there was a dream that I kept having, repeatedly, for a couple of years. It would come to me, and then I wouldn't experience it for a week or two. I can't remember what it was, but it was very vivid.

One dream I do remember having was one from when I was very little (5 years old or less). My dog and a witch switched bodies, but my dog was still my dog, while the witch was also my dog, and it made no sense at all. Perhaps that dream was a hint at my impending madness in later years.

I also had a dream that I was running from someone who wanted to kill me. I somehow went from a corporate parking lot, to the hill outside my grandparent's house, and then to a school where the kids were all getting on the buses to go home. That's when I finally turned around, drawing my pistol, and was shot by the person chasing me. Weird thing was, I didn't wake up then. I lay there kind of thinking "Hmm, I've been shot, I wonder what happens next?" while everyone around me seemed not to notice what had happened.

Another took place in a house similar to my grandparents, but different somehow, more cabin like I guess. My friend and I were sitting in the living room talking, when I noticed someone outside. It was dark, but for some reason I knew the person was a woman, and she had been sent to assassinate us. I don't remember what happened in the end. I just remember moving around the house, getting our own weapons and a briefcase with some important documents inside, and trying to escape. It was odd because I knew everything that my friend and I were doing, but I also knew what the assassin was doing. I could see her in the third person.

(In case you can't tell, I like spy type stories.)

Flying dreams? Tons. One of the more memorable ones took place in a setting that looked very much like the early Flight Simulator games (I'm talking Windows 3.1 era). I remember flying between these white platforms that were hovering in mid-air.

flying dreams...i dont suppose i should really call it flying...swimming in the air i suppose. no, really! i was about 10 or so, i thought i was awake, and then i cant remember the reason but i decided i wanted to go to my room and...hover? all i did was literally take my feet of the ground (my upper body stayed in exactly the same place) and i levelled off with the gound and started doing breaststroke in the air! it felt so real! i was so dissapointed when i woke up. i wwent to my mum and told her when i decoded to fly the other day and she just went: what? hmph. i even tried to do it again when i was awake...didn't work though...come on, gimme a break i was a kid!

about the stargate/beast wars dreams...i actually plan those out...i have the abiltity to direct my dreams to how i want to be ie where/when/what will happen. dosnt always work. sometimes i just cant be bothered coz im too tired.

but basically those dreams follow the same plot-line (ya i no i no its only a dream...reality is an illusion!)...i, as jagna, was racing with cheetor in the jungle when my feet get stuck in the ground. we dont no what it is but suddenly rings form around me and i end up on a spaceship...i dont have a clue how to get back so i sneak off to a room where i find teal'c (yes, teal'c) cained to the ceiling. after talking with him (i asked him what his favourite colour was, but i dont remember) and i help him escape some random goa'ould's clutches through the stargate back to earth...what was really cool though is that i was carrying him (me! him!) in my beast mode, which is a leopard, and i leapt through the stargate transforming and shooting at some jafaa before landing on earth the other side. turns out the ship and its stargate was destroyed so there was no chance of knowing what planet i had beamed up from, therefore no way of getting back...and there was this whole honour thing for saving teal'cs life in my debt bla bla blaaaagh...but they let me join sg-1 in order to find the maximals (kinda like teal'c and daniel) in exchange for my loyalty and technical expertese (which i didnt even know i had!)...but only after mabourne (git) was done wanting to poke and prod at me. but theres a whole load of different events that happen in these dreams, sometimes im not even in them! eg looking how the maximals are coping with the goa'ould technology or ancients technology if you want to be picky, iehow it got there? who put it there? why is it here? etc? etc?...theres so much more i dont think i can tell you...but uv prob heard enuf by now...ahem...yyya
iv actually worked out a whole series of events that could possibly happen between the 2 worlds (when i was awake of course) and its so exciting! just so you know, in the stargate sg-1 world they are still fighting the goa'ould, not the bloody orai (sp? wateva)
i think i might have to write a fic on all this...what do you think?

ps...has anyone ever had a dream where you were forced to marry your own sister? (its prob less wrong for guys respectively speaking)...that was one of the most disturbing dreams i ever had...*shudders*

Dreams that I have normally are about things that happened during normal schooldays (Like, when I was in fouth grade 2 years ago, I had this dream about my results, that I flunked fourth; fact, I nearly did fail 4th, due to some nasty grades. Luckily it didn't happen.), or those freaky falling dreams ( the only one I remember was the one where we I was in a bus with other passengers, and we were falling from the bridge because of high speed and a wrong turn).

The recurring dreams love to haunt me, and they always have some insect that I hate in them.

My only BW dream that I can remember was one that I have when I was 15 or 16 y/o.
It was about Airrazor, who was running away from Rampage, 'cause he wanted to kill her off.
They were running in a fraky dark place with colored tiles.
The funniest was that she ddn't have a face.
Never knew what happened next, 'cause I woke up.
They're always weird.

I have weird dreams like one time when I dreamt that I was in a room full of computers that said GAME OVER. Second dream have to be continued.

The only Beast Wars dream I had was when Taranultas was attacking me with his spider legs

Jagna: All you had to do was lift your feet and you'd hover? I always have to have a running start. XD But then I'd lift into the air and literally fly all over the place. It was so cool. Although it wasn't real, now I know what it's like to be a flying Transformer... or someone from DBZ.

I remember at least two other Beast Wars dreams where I was actually (I know, this freaked me out, too) Primal. In a way, it was awesome! Or should I say, "prime?" Then again, I'd wake up and think, "Wow. I've been role playing that guy for faaar too long now." Both were all CGI dreams, too. Freaky. I just realized that. And from the first season becauase the characters were all pre-Transmetal. I remember one with snow but I can't really recall what I, or Primal, was doing. Attacked perhaps? He (or I) was in robot mode. I remember seeing my (his) feet and hands and I might have had one of his swords out (I always see from my eyes only in dreams). I was falling down and hitting a couple landings of ice and snow but someone was up above to help me. I can't remember who. Possibly Dinobot. I remember getting up and looking at the blue sky through the hole which I fell through.

The other dream I remember I was Primal in beast mode along with Cheetor and Rattrap who were with me outside not far from the base. It was a cloudy day and some tall cliffs were surrounding our six o'clocks. I feel like we were discussing something probably about Preds but I don't remember what or anything else happening. >.< Ah well. It was kind of neat.

Man, I need a life.

Gah! I hate those dreams where I desperately try to wake up, and I'm screaming as hard as I can but I just can't wake up and I know I'm dreaming. That's the worst. It's like something's holding you in your dream and it won't let you wake up. But that's very rare to happen.

I finally had a dream about paintball last night after the two times I've played so far. And my nana was in it, who I miss sooo much. In fact, I think the sniper paintball gun was a gift from her. My mom and my younger sister were with me as well. And we were at some place, kind of like an air force base or something, where I fired off some paintballs, and then I remember watching some Stealth Bombers fly over for some reason. What cartoon was it where I saw a bunch of Stealth Fighters (my favorite) flying around...? AH! Family Guy! That's probably why I saw those Bombers. LoL So retarded, I know.

LoL Creepy. Are you sure it was Tarantulas and not Cheetor playing a prank?

Yes, I am sure it was Taranultas because he was in robot mode swinging them at me and kept on laughing and saying my name.

I also had this dream where (I don't remember it that well) that I was flying with Optimus Primal. We were attacked and I dropped!

Wheeee, dreams ^_^ I don't remember many dreams now nearly as much as I used to when I was younger.

I had a few Beast Wars dreams , one where my best friend and I tied Rattrap to a tree in order to stop him from using a typewritter... Yeah, you know when things make perfect sense in the dream and then you wake up going "What the...". Another one was with me and my best friend hanging out with Cheetor and Rattrap by a pool. Somehow I caught my foot on fire so Cheetor shoved me into the pool to save me...

I've never really had many recurring dreams, I've had the same house reappear in a number of dreams but that's it. I've had one of those endless pits one, probably the scariest dream I ever had. I was in my highschool when a shadowy claw grabbed my ankle and started pulling me down. All I could see was staircases flying by so fast, and I was terrified. It went on and on and I was too scared to even scream. I knew, just somehow knew that something was waiting for me at the bottom and I was just terrified of whatever it was that was there.Thank God I woke up before I reached the bottom.

Flying dreams are fun, I've had a few of those. I usualy had to jump of a high point and let myself fall for a bit, and I could just spread out my arms and glide. Best feeling ever. Never drowned in a dream, usualy unlocked the magical ability to breath under water before that could happen.

Dreams are fun. Lately though, all I've been really dreaming about is schoolwork ^^; Those dreams are less fun, since I wake up feeling like I never slept at all.

OOOO! Jagna, you have lucid dreams?? COOL! You're so lucky (lucid dreams = ones you can control) Anyone here ever have an OBE while dreaming?

Recurring dreams? When I was younger, I used to dream that my family and I were driving in our old truck down a field and kept getting stuck. Then some big black... monster would cover the sky. Up until the last time I had it, it would progress a little bit further each time, when we would get stuck in different parts of the field. Just before the dream ended, it would cut to another field where I and several other people would try to take on that monster.
The last time I had the dream was the first night I owned a dreamcatcher. Instead of this monster appearing, I told everyone to hide so he wouldn't come. It continued just about as normal except that we kept our heads down while driving. Finally, we all got out of the truck and ran to meet the rest of the family. I never dreamed about that thing again after that, thank the Goddess!

Another dream I keep having isn't exactly recurring, but the scenery is. I know that world so well by now I finally just drew the map, because it never changes

As for falling and flying, I learned to fly because of the falling. To this day I have an irrational fear of elevators because I used to have tons of dreams where the cables would snap and I'd fall to my fiery death. Eventually, I had to learn to fly just so I wouldn't have to put up with those **** elevators anymore. Worked like a charm

Flying isn't even fun anymore, though - now its just another form of transportation. Like OOP, it's gotta be a running start, plus a few failed jumps, and then I flap my arms like a bird and go!
Funny enough, I used to have a problem that when I did finally get in to the air, I couldn't see anymore. Then I would spin out of control, or get stuck in an updraft and do summersaults/ get pushed up to the invisible wall (like the ones in video games). Lol my avian animal guide finally got so fed up with my flopping around that she started teaching me how to fly the right way. At least now she doesn't laugh nearly as hard when I do try to fly...

BW dreams - aaaaaaah, the rare and few times where I've gotten to hug Optimus, fight Megatron, and hunt dragons with Rattrap. Then there was the time Tigatron revealed that Optimus was really very shy Gotta love those.

I can never control my dreams except for the ones in BW.


Nurann- You got to hug Optimus in your dreams! You're lucky because I only get to fly with him but it lasts a second before I wake up.


There was also one I had with Megatron and he kept on petting me on the head and laughing when I have to sing in front of him! That was a dream I would't want to have again! I WAS HIS PET!!!!

Wow, quite a few BW dreams!

I've never really had any, come to think of it... I never had any Redwall dreams either. I read those books almost non-stop a few years back when I first discovered them. The weird thing is, neither BW or Redwall ever triggered any dreams. I guess transforming robots and anthropomorphic animals are too much for my imagination to handle.

Anybody ever have a dream where you're not really viewing stuff in 1st person, but it's not quite 3rd person either? It's kind of hard to explain unless you've had a dream like it, it's really odd.
