Beast Wars Real Life Events

Now I recall seeing clip somewhere of the Star Wars fans lined up for Episode II and having the massive convention. During said convention, there was a Star Wars wedding complete with plastic lightsabers forming an honour guard and full Star Wars regalia. The scary part was the couple was dressed as Luke and Leia

(ewww).

Anyhoo, I'm going to ask if anyone has incorporated Beast Wars into a special event in their life (well moreso than usual). Come on has there been the Silverbolt - Blackarachnia wedding? Or perhaps the silicon Valhalla send off for a departed friend? Maybe even a birthday where you stormed the Maximal base? (the neighbours never really recovered from that one

)

I'll be very surprised if there is not one person who has at least considered it.

Well, there was this one time where I abducted this guy, and attempted to make his heart beat forever. He then went about killing everyone, myself included, and the only survivor was that one kid who plays Kickball all the time...

I also stole my friend's favorite CD in an attempt to change history for the benefit of blondes.

Ok, joking aside, I haven't done anything major, BW-related. Unless you count Botcon. Then I think alot of us have.

Yeah I remember that.... I think it was a Tuesday... and that little kickball kid grew up to be a big Pred slaggin fish.

The idea was I suppose focusing on major events, however what about simple things? Maybe a BW birthday cake made by someone who has no idea about BW...

Hm. The only things I can really think of is (as one example) playing Beast Wars with my younger sister. And I mean that as we were actually being the characters. We'd play either inside the house or outside, impersonate voices, and run around on all fours in beast modes, and "spar" if we were a Pred and a Maxi duking it out.

The whole running around on our hands and feet is something I think my two sisters and I can still do today. We did it all the time; it was fun!

Anywho, when I'd play Legos with my brother and younger sister, I'd incorporate the voices I could do best at that time. We had the police station where "Don" (named after a family friend because the Lego guy looked just like him) was the sheriff and I used Primal's voice for him (before I knew Garry played a lot of cop roles). We had a Scott too who, of course, drove the police motorcycle, wore all black with a black helmet and visor, and I used Rattrap's voice for him. My younger sis used Dinobot's voice for someone, but I think that was for one of those Insectnoid sets or whatever they were called. I'm not sure anymore, but either my brother or I might have used Megatron's voice for the main M-tron bad guy. I think it was called M-tron... Heh.

Last but not least, when I'd right letters to my friends in high school (I know, it's such a girl thing), my nickname was Rattrap. But that's about it. Nothing to a greater extent than that. LoL Ah, how I miss those days.

Awesome! My sister hates Beast Wars... well not really hates, she just does not understand how a 23 year old still watches cartoons... granted I probably should grow up, however I refuse. And Beast Wars is very mature for its target audience and so much more than a bunch of half hour toy commericals.

Those sound like very fond family memories. I may not have those particular ones, however my sis and I can make so many private jokes and switch on to the exact same frame of mind when we are around others who completely don't get it. Its uncanny. I'm glad we got all the sibling rivalry out of the way early.

At high school, my group of friends all fell into the various roles of the maximals. Completely bizzare how all their personalities fit perfectly. The supreme irony is that the guy who was more like Rhinox ended up turning into a real.. well swearing is forbidden but I'm sure you get the idea, so it was very much the Rhinox and Tankor situation so there may be something to Beast Machines

they heard of transformers but beast wars no

My first time out of the city (let alone province!) on my own was for the Gathering this year - that's a pretty big deal! BW is also how I made my first friend in high school. Other than that though, because of the lack of local fans to share it with, BW was more of a silent role model for me. Well, until I came here, that is. Then it became the pure, shout-it-out-loud obsession we all share

I haven't actually tried this, however I foresee a horse trotting along and leaving a smelly gift on my right foot... probably the closest thing I'd get to a transformation

hmmm...OOP said the playing as BW characters...I DID THT! all the time...me and my BW crazy frend would always play out in my garden, pretending the seesaw was the maximal base, but neither of us eva wanted to be predacons (we just improvised a lot). wed always have arguments who was coolest (there was always an argument whioch of the cats was better, id always say cheetor, but i lov tigatron and just sed to annoy him!

) wht i enjoyed most though was the weapons and the 'dying'...wed carry sticks and have stick fights...he even bought toy guns and swords for us to play with. btw we did all our own stunts

...wed clomb onto the roof of my bungalow and jump off the seesaw as if we were being attacked by predacons. it was hilarious this one time he tried to fly as silverbolt! he fell off the seesaw trying to do a cartwheel off it while singing the theme tune...dadaDAAAAAHHH!!! (btw, he was a fanatic of dinobt, tigatron and silverbolt, but he cdnt make up his mind)
hm...i also dream about BW all the time...does tht count?

ps...Silver, your 23?! wow! how old is evry1 else here? im only 16

I'm 16 too Jagna

I used to pretend to fight the predacons a lot I 'll pull out my toy guns and shoot everywhere saying "I GOT WAZZZZZZZIPNATOR" and then I roll on the floor pretending to dodge lasers and fake injuries.

When I was little, I always pretended that me and Cheetor were on a mission during this i jumped alot on the floor and riding on my bed thinking it's cheetor(I know WEIRD!!) but it was fun

I never did do that much ( my brother and I had our own created world), but we did used to have long discussions about all of them with my cousin who was also into BW. My cousin's sister always thought I was weird for watching that show.

Yes Janga.. I am the old grizzled veteran of the Beast Wars era. Waking up early on a cold winter's morning to watch the latest episode while most of you were still quietly tucked away in your comfy stasis pods. Now I have grown older and wiser... well... older at the very least and am still a big kid and don't think I'll ever want to change. The real world is boring and thus I have managed to locate a happy place in the BWint forum where I can escape to when I am at work. Fortunately, it also means that I can rack up a fair amount of overtime, whilst maintaining my threads

Devious, you sir are a genius! If only my current line of work allowed me to charge overtime, alas consulting does not afford me that luxury. *looks over at Shmindows 2003 server he's setting up* Stop mocking me... *throws RAID card across the room* mechanical pestilence...

I can recall playing many BW games with my friends, although our battles and sundry adventures required the use of our BW toys. And thus there were frequent pauses while someone either transformed or reverted back to beast mode

and periodic searches for the instructions on how to transform. Miraculously, no one ever lost a piece to their BW figures, although Nerf guns were a different story entirely...
