How'd they get the Golden Disk?

This thought just randomly popped into my head when I was playing with my Unicron.com Golden Disk set.
In The Agenda Part 2, Megatron explains that the Golden Disk was created and placed upon the Voyager Space Craft (Or some Earth-made space thingy if that's not correct.

) But my question is this... How did Cybertron go about *getting* the Golden Disk? The original Megatron wrote his message on the disk, yes, but how would it have been obtained without Earth going 'Hey, hold up!'
Any ideas? O_o

My guess is that some TFs ran across the space craft somewhere in deep space ( long after humans lost track/communication with it ) and discovered the message on it. Due to the nature of the message, the Maximals locked it up on Cybertron for safe keeping.

I actually think Megatron snuck into NASA or the space shuttle and inscribed the messege there. Because the Autobots and Decepticons crashed way before Earth could send out probes like Yoyager.
Therefor, I believe it was inscribed with instructions to go back in time using transwarp tech and destroy the Autobots while they slept.

Actually, the golden disks themselves were attached to the Voyager 1 & 2 Space Probes, both of which were launched in the 70's immediately following Pioneer 10 and especially to take advantage of an incredibly rare planetary lineup which would deliver a gravity boost to each probe as they passed by each of the major outer planets.
Since the probes were launched in the 70's, they were already well on their way to the outer reaches of the solar system by 1984. Since Voyager 2 had an appointment with Uranus and Neptune to keep its presumable that Megs used Voyager 1's golden disk since that was swept out of the solar system by Saturn.
As it stands currently, Voyager 1 is now beyond the Termination Shock, a point at which the solar wind is reduced to subsonic speeds and thus marks the edge of the suns influence more then 94 AU away.
The Voyager Space Probes are currently the fastest moving man made objects as well as the furthest man made objects from the sun. In relation to Pioneer 10, they are also the most widely seperated, being on opposite sides of the sun.
I know I went on for a bit, but damnit I've got a soft spot for those space probes >_>
