First and foremost however!

I'd like to keep things somewhat organised and in a fashion where access to everyones ideas is somewhat universal. So, in the interests of efficiency and effectiveness, I just need to ask that you do the following.

The Beast Wars Characters starring in a time before the Beast Wars

Loosely Related Prequel

Maximal and Predacon characters starring in a time before the Beast Wars, does not have to connect directly with BW but can allude to it.

Retelling

Same Characters, told with a new story and perhaps a new setting, does not have to follow the Beast Wars storyline directly.

Closely Related Sequel

The Beast Wars characters starring in a time after the Beast Wars (IE, Beast Machines).

Loosely Related Sequel

Maximal and Predacon characters starring in a time after the Beast Wars, does not have to connect directly to BW but can allude to it.

Locale

The place/s in which the story is set. IE, Earth, Cybertron, Quadrant 4415, “A distant part of the galaxy”, an alternate dimension etc.

Premise

A brief description of the events that take place just prior to the beginning of the story.

IE: A Predacon Criminal calling himself Megatron steals a priceless maximal artifact: The Golden Disk and flees Cybertron in a stolen Transwarp Cruiser. The Maximal ship Axalon is the only ship in range capable of locking on and following Megatron. After a fierce firefight, the two ships are crippled beyond repair and crashland on a primitive, hostile world rich in what the predacons desire most: Energon.

Unique Points

Anything that you feel makes the storyline unique.

IE:

To survive the ravages of energon buildup, the Maximals and Predacons of prehistoric earth must take on Cyber-Organic Beast Modes.

They find however that they are not alone, and that a mysterious race (later known as the Vok) has seeded this world with Energon… and they’re not happy about the Cybertronian presence.

It is later discovered that the golden disk holds a record of the future and is the key to ultimate power.

The reason I ask that you submit in this format is so that the barest details are conveyed via this thread. I encourage you to create a thread where you go into in-depth detail into your idea and link to it once you've covered the basics here. In that fashion, this thread will serve as a kind of index where ideas can be skimmed. If an interesting idea/concept is brought up, one can simply follow a quick link to the thread where the idea is suggested/discussed in-depth.

My idea as follows:

Style: Loosely Related Prequel, 150 years prior to BW

Locale: Theta IV, a remote Maximal/Predacon Research Base

Premise:

A Predacon called Callisto discovers a long buried virus within predacon programming; unwittingly she activates the virus, turning her into an insane malevolent being. She infects her shipmates and razes a maximal/predacon research base, leaving only two survivors. A nearby maximal scrap hauler is sent by the maximal high council to investigate the radio silence of the outpost but is hit by stealth space mines. The few surviving maximals manage to escape to the surface of the alien world, where they must face Callistos impending evil.

Unique Points:

The virus unwittingly unleashed by Callisto forces all those infected to obey her commands or be exposed to excruciating pain. Maximals and a few select Predacons are immune.

Callisto unleashes a nanotech plague; countless nano-scale robots ordered to do one thing: replicate into infinity. The maximals unleash their own nanotech network in order to counter the plague, leading to a deadlock called the Nanowars.

The surrounding Nanotech confers advantages on friendly terrain and disadvantages in enemy territory.

The planet upon which the maximals find themselves on is utterly lifeless, forcing them to take on vehicle modes from a database.

CR Chambers, Protoforms and so forth are in their initial, clunky prototype stages in the Theta IV research base and are untested, untried, and not trusted by the Maximals at first.

Another of my ideas >_>

Style: Closely Related Prequel, 4 Miniseries, 6 episodes long each.

Locale: Cybertron

Premise:

How did our favorite characters become who and what they were when the beast wars rolled around? What were they like before and how did they evolve?

Essentially, a miniseries portraying an adventure that either highlights the evolution of the character from the unfamiliar to something we know and love (IE, Headstrong rebel into an honourable warrior).

Or an adventure/ordeal that shines a light on the future behaviour of that character (IE, Rattraps open prejudice against preds).

Unique Points:

4 seperate miniseries comrpising 6 episodes each. Writers can choose to work with each other and maybe even cross over into each others fics.

Details the prior history of characters we know and love.

We can fill in some of the hazy pasts that were intimated with Megatron, Dinobot, Rattrap, Rampage and so forth.
