Has anyone registered? I downloaded the PDF guest registration form, but I can't make any sense of it. I don't even really know what it means to be pre-registered!!
If someone has registered and knows what to do, help would be appreciated! My AIM screenname is LakesideSaint06 if you've got AIM--that would be easier than waiting for multiple replies, I think.

I have added you to my buddy list, but you're not online, so I have emailed you all the info you need to know about Botcon, including how to deal with the pre-registration forms.

I wish our computer was fixed . . . I've been making FAR too many stops at the library as of late . . . but I have indeed registered. Basically, you can either call in and register, or you can print the form out and send it in to them with the money. From what Outtsyder has said, they will contact the pre-registered people (those are the people sending in the registration forms NOW and not at the con itself) through a letter with a form that you bring in to Botcon with you, so you can get your package.
Other than that, I'm useless. That's all I know.

Pretty much what Sinead just said. I only just now read this reply over in the TF Collectors' Club Forums earlier today, saying that those who have pre-registered (including myself, Sinead, etc.) should expect their Confirmation materials to come in the mail sometime by the end of this month (I suspect BotCon goers outside of North America might take a little bit longer). As with last year, the Confirmation materials being mailed out will consist of a letter with an additional piece of colored paper. The badges and everything else will be picked up at the show in person. DO NOT LOSE that letter OR that colored sheet of paper. Make sure you bring those papers with you, along with photo ID.

The Mini-Con Package is an add-on package that's valid only in conjunction with a Primus Package. In other words, if you order the Primus Package, and a family member, significant other, super-close friend, or whatever wants to come along, that other person can be added to your own Primus Package as a "Mini-Con" at the cheaper cost that's available.
A maximum of 4 or 5 total Mini-Cons can be added, but it's ONLY valid if they're registered together with a Primus Package (you can't order a Mini-Con Package on its own). This allows for a "family" to enjoy all the events that's available at the convention (such as parents who can bring their kids). The only downside is that only the Primus Package comes with one of the big box sets; the Mini-Con packages don't.

Prime. Okay, so if I was going, and say Monarch was going with me but couldn't afford the Primus package, she could buy the minicon package and register it with mine, right?

Pretty much, yep.

That's how a friend of mine and I are going together. She couldn't afford the box set, but I didn't want to leave her out of the dinner if she ordered the Protoform Package. I checked with the TF Collectors' Club Forums (of which I'm a member) to check with the guidelines of using a Mini-Con Package, and while it's normally a "family plan" offer, it's got a little wriggle room that would allow Monarch to sign up as a Mini-Con with your Primus Package (or vice versa), which is how my friend's Mini-Con is "piggybacking" with my registration (though I've never done this before).
The way to do that would be to sign the Mini-Con Package together on the same Registration Form with the Primus Package holder (probably to minimize paperwork and all that jazz). When you get the confirmation letter in the mail, I would imagine you'd get the information for both of you in the same bundle of paperwork. When you come to the Convention, you'll both be getting your relevant stuff (like ID tags) together.
