Beastbot's Botcon Report 2016

For the first time since 2010, the Beast Wars International website has been updated! Last week, I added a Botcon Report for 2016 to the Botcon Reports section of the site, courtesy of Beastbot!

I don't know about the rest of you, but for me, it was tear-jerking reading about the last day of the con. I made so many special memories at Botcon and forged friendships that last to this day. It saddens me that 2016, the 20th anniversary of Beast Wars itself, was the final convention. It's the end of an era, for sure.

Thank you for posting it! We'll see what becomes of it; hopefully something almost or just as good will take its place, but I'm starting to have my doubts. The recent trademarking of "Hascon" leads me to believe Hasbro's trying to create a convention that houses all of its brands, and that's not something I'm remotely interested in. (Other than some select Marvel stuff like X-Men, I don't really pay attention to a lot of the "geek pop culture" stuff beyond TFs-- hence why stuff like San Diego Comic-Con and Dragon Con have never appealed to me.)

On another note, it sure seems like there's some rabid fans of Beast Wars Megatron out there-- the 2006 "Dawn of Futures Past" pre-BW Megatron/Waspinator 2-pack has the highest aftermarket price of any Botcon exclusive, regularly going for over $1000 U.S. on eBay (I have mine practically in their own special "break glass if sudden huge unexpected expense comes" cabinet). But now the newer 2016 Botcon BW Megatron toy is already up to selling for ~$700!
