SD Comic Con 2012

Unread post by Alak »

Two important things I got out of this year's San Diego Comic Con so far:

1) Nightwing is going to be in the new DC fighting game made by Netherrealm Studios.

2) Kung Fu Panda 3 is confirmed.

Still waiting on the Iron Man 3 teaser/trailer to be released online.

YES! YES! YES! YES!

I've actually been waiting for this to happen, but I didn't expect the news to come from Comic Con. But, er...

YES!

*Scavenges google for more information...*
I understand... you are, after all, a predacon.

Legend of Korra is getting a renewal. I'm hoping the pacing isn't as erratic now that they have 4 seasons to work with instead of one. I still liked the first season, but it just didn't compare well with the original Last Airbender series.

Since I cannot attend SDCC, I want to live vicariously through others. Pics! Lots of pics and detailed stories I say! *cracks whip*
Don't fret precious I'm here....

lol don't worry I doubt anyone here is actually at SDCC. It's pretty hard (and expensive) to get tickets for such a popular convention. Anyway, I hear the Man of Steel trailer was mind-blowingly fantastic. It's not available online yet so I'll reserve my own judgement in the meantime. However, on paper, it appears Marvel will continue to curbstomp DC with its new line-up of live-action super hero movies:

Iron Man 3 (Mandarin confirmed as main villain)
Thor 2: The Dark World
Captain America 2: Winter Soldier
Ant Man
Guardians of the Galaxy

As far as I know, DC only has Man of Steel for 2013 lol.

Bucky... Captain America Bucky?

Well, characters do tend to come back a lot in comic book stories, but it's still going to be interesting to see how they explain that one.

Bucky = Winter Soldier

Probably should've put spoiler alert on that one, but since most comic readers already know this I figure it'll be spoiled in the trailers anyhow. Considering how live-action Bucky fell in an ice cold river similarly how Rogers fell in an ice cold ocean, his body was probably preserved well enough for the Red Army to recover it.
