How old do you think the Beast Warriors would be in human years?

I always hated analogizing human ages to Transformers. It anthropomorphizes them too much. And even in humans, age is not directly analogous to maturity.

being that I have no idea what anthropomorphizes even means, i'll make some guesses.
Optimus - Mid to late 30s
Cheetor - Late teens 18-20
Rhinox - late 30s, early 40s
Rattrap - Early 30s
BA - Early 20s
Silverbolt - Late 20s
Airazor/Tigatron - Late 20s
Dinobot - Early 30s
Dunno about the preds though.

We did have a discussion about this before in the RPG thread.
http://bwint.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=3839
My point of view is that the transformers' ages are not really measured in actual time like a human's would be. When we say that Cheetor, for example, is about late teens or early twenties, I think we really aren't talking about literally 19 or 20 years old. My theory is that it has more to do about maturity and experience level. We as humans don't just age physically. We also age psychologically, our beliefs about good vs. evil might change slightly, our priorities may shift, and our previous needs may also change. Since a robot can't actually age physically, they probably age in some of those other ways. Mental capacity might be one way or emotional needs, maturity level, and a bot's experience might play a role in their "age" as well. So, Cheetor isn't literally 19 years old, he just has the maturity level of what we would think of as a 19-year-old.
I dunno...that's just my opinion. Other people said some smarter sounding things in the other thread. Check it out and see what you think!

Transformers are already heavily anthropomorphized. They're an alien race in a humanoid form, applied with set genders, with a set of human like emotions. But on the other hand if they didn't have those qualities, most people wouldn't watch the show or read the comics because being able to relate to the off worldly creature is what draws their interests as otherwise.. all transformers would be like Shockwave or the Quintessons.

This is basically where I have them, except for Tigatron, who has a much older sounding voice and identity to my mind. I'd put him in his late 40s. I don't necessarily prescribe to the theory that the protoforms are truly born on Earth, I think it's more a matter of them having amnesia, but their mental, emotional age remains constant.WorpeX wrote:being that I have no idea what anthropomorphizes even means, i'll make some guesses.![]()

For me:
Optimus: Early-Mid 40s
Rattrap: Mid-30s
Rhinox: Late 40s-Early 50s
Dinobot: Early 30s
Cheetor: Pre-Teen (original), Early Teens (Transmetal), Late Teens (TM II), about 20 by Beast Machines
Tigatron: Late 40s
Airazor: Late 20s
Silverbolt: Mid-20s
Depth Charge: Late 30s-Early 40s
The Predacons are harder, because a lot of them don't act enough like real people for any sort of age to be gauged.
Megatron: Mid-late 40s (strikes me as just a touch older than Optimus)
Scorponok: 30s
Tarantulas: Early 40s
Terrorsaur: 30s
Waspinator: He's so abnormal it's hard to even gauge, but I suppose he's the youngest of the original five.
Blackarachnia: Late 20s
Inferno: 30s
Quickstrike: Late 20s
Rampage: Late 30s-Early 40s
