OCs' VA

Unread post by una »

Here I go again with these threads. XDD

It would be cool to show others what we imagined our character's voice sounds like.

Here are mine! :D

Whitegrazer - The only voice that I could match her towards would be the woman who voiced The Boss, Lori Alan

Whitegrazer's Master - Steven Barr, the voice of Wrex in Mass Effect.

Warspark - I haven't find one yet for him. Still thinking about him. XD

This is a hard one Una but I think I have some idea for my characters-

Wintersong-Voice of Kate Beckinsale as Saleen from the Underworld Series.

SNow Trix-Not sure but I am not keeping her after the Quantum Surge so not really thinking much for her.

Terra-Think Amy Jo Johnson from Flashpoint and Mighty Morphin Power Rangers would be best for her, just a more sing song voice.

Hmm.. Icebreaker I've always seen as sort of a lighthearted goofy occasional badass character, so.. probably a voice actor like "Johnny Yong Bosch" doing the Trigun role. (Which probably sucks for Pheonix since she HATES that show with a passion, specifically the main character.)So I guess that means Icebreaker probably sounded a bit like War for Cybertron Bubblebee.

Glowstick on the other hand.. was always inspired by Soundwave in his many variations.. at one point I even wanted him to have drones that could eject, but couldn't figure a good way of doing it without it seeming broken.. Glowstick's voice was always unique since he was a master of manipulation, but his default always sounded like it had radio noises and static with a heavy mechanical tone. I could probably make something on Audacity sometime if I felt like it.

Umbra, I imagine is rather gender ambiguous as the character looks, very soft spoken and polite in nature..(which Ninjas are supposed to be, and no Naruto is not a Ninja, he's a noisy wizard.) So I guess Umbra has no defined voice actor or actress.

I think I did make a topic about this in the other section. Oh well, let the fun of choosing begin! :P

Hmmmm...I have quite a few for each of my OCs...

Starshadow would have a catwomanish or sexy voice.
- Black cat but less feminine : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wbZ4KtIC ... re=related (
- The demon hunter from Diablo III's demon hunter trailer but more feminine : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WByqPqwBrzs

The TM2 version of Star would have the voice of Infested Sarah Kerrigan from Starcraft II : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aY7-CE_6228

Cecaelia:
- Medic from Starcraft II : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cY_FgTLn ... re=related

Banshee:
- Infested Ariel Hanson from Starcraft II but more proper, serious and a lil soft : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_nwJqD7vH_s
- Selendis from Starcraft II but less "ambitious", serious and tough : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1WVcyfWahHg

Oh! I didn't know, Starshadow. Oops.

You had the right idea and linking a url. I forgot to do that.

Whitegrazer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nf90vPDi ... re=related Skip to 2:02 to see her and hear the voice.

Her master: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vOg-nLWe71w

Oh! I finally found a voice close to what I want for Warspark: This guy, VA for Pallin in Mass Effect, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nUDMXeI5A1U
or the voice of Lockdown on TFA, Lance Henriksen.

I ended up just making a voice sample for Glowstick using some lines from the RP. Also given up on trying to figure out how to post embedded youtube videos..*L*

I would probably use my own voice for Arachnitron and thought of doing the same thing, but, alas, now I'd be a copy cat. :-P

As for my other OC who I probably will never use for this forum....his name is Drifter and he's a raven (which is why he probably won't appear...too many bird-type OCs). I love Hugo Weaving's voice, so it'd probably have to be him.

It was tricky to figure out, but it's not too hard once you get the hang of it. If you click on the youtube button this code appears:

When you have a video on youtube that you want to share, you use the share button. Something like this appears: http://youtu.be/k1Jcd6YQmdk

You only take the letters at the very end. In this case, k1Jcd6YQmdk, and you insert them in the code.

And, VOILA! You have an embedded youtube video!!!

Ah! So that's how you do it.

You're only a copycat if you can make yourself sound exactly like that clip. So go for it! I'm sure the others will find it interesting. Specially in Arachnitron's case.

A nice voice for Glowstick, NK. :D

Oh! If you do that, Blackrosefencer, I can't wait to hear it! :D

My own voice wouldn't suit Whitegrazer. Too young and boyish sounding. XDDD

That can be tweaked in audio softwear if you want Una. Mine was made with effects after all. Though most Beastwars characters don't usually have that mechanical sound like alot of the G1s have.

Okay okay! Since you all insist. Here is a video my brother and I made. This is the voice of the Predacon programming in a slight altercation with Manterror. This was an event that :took place at the beginning of part one of the finale episode.

Now, originally Icebreaker was involved in this scene, but since we did not have NK's voice on demand, we altered the scene a little bit. Of course, since we are not skilled in stop motion animation, we had to alter a lot about the scene than just that. As you might recall, crazy Manterror tried to create a trebuchet, but we didn't have one on hand. So we had to improvise! Not to mention, we did not have a toy of Arachnitron....so we had to use a stand-in.

Of course, I can't let you hear just the Predacon personality.....so I will have to come up with a vid for the other two.

Anyway, I hope you all enjoy this little bit of.......uh.....entertainment!

Stop motion!

I like hearing all of these voices come to life like this; Arachnitron's evil laugh/snicker is suitably self-amused, Manterror sounds on-edge from the first line, and that effect on Glowstick's voice is really interesting.
I understand... you are, after all, a predacon.

Heh, yeah, I don't think I could do a energetic enough voice for Icebreaker since I've been sick for awhile and naturally monotone, but it's a nice video Blackrosefencer! You sound younger then I thought, unless that was with some tweaking besides the mechanical reverb?

I'm 25. And there was some tweaking. I think my bro did an echo effect (as you pointed out) and something that made the voice a bit higher. But I was kind of going for a bratty school girl kind of sound. It is the Predacon programming after all. She's catty, sassy and a bit childish with her reckless antics. I haven't decided how I'm going to change the tone for the other two. It might be interesting to attempt the interrnal dialogue between the three of them.... Hmmm....
