My sister is in the Hospital and she could give birth to her second kid any second now!!!!

That's exciting news! The second one is usually faster than the first one. Mine (first) took 12 hours, so your sister may already have had the baby. Congrats!

Awe! Hope to hear the good news soon! Do they know the gender already? Or are they keeping it a surprise?

Well... the kids taking his time to come into the world, so apparently it was false alarm. ><

I hope your sister's doing well, though. I hear child labor can take days sometimes so hopefully she won't get too impatient lol.

Elijah Carter Holmes was born ‏8/19/11 at 4:30am 8 lbs 14 oz and 22 in long. My sister emailed me some of these today.

Woot, congrats to you and your family! 8 lb 14 oz.. so nearly 9 lb. Good sized baby! Although mine was close with his 8 lb 1 oz. I'd say mine also looked rather similar to your family's new little cute stuff, but it takes a few days for the baby's appearance to change to what he'll look like later. When they first come out they're all puffed out like a sponge in water, so they often bear some resemblance to other babies the first couple of days until the water leaves.

I'm glad he is healthy and everything went well (in the end).

I like the name also, although Kaden is adorable as well. If my next kid turns out to be another boy, I might name him Kaiden (like in Mass Effect). Enjoy your time with the little one! They grow up so fast (but will remain cute for a few years!)

And lol.. We also got one of those baby cake gifts filled with blankets, diapers, small clothes and what not.. but ours wasn't nearly as funny. I took some pictures before I disassembled it for the items (I wish I hadn't now.. but the grandmother insisted) .
