Ahem *tap* *tap* ... Hi!

Hello and welcome BWINT
I am Terry Wilson (I'm planning to change that) of Featherwing Love Project. I am a shameless purveyor of love according to the "Three Commandments of Love" and currently do so primarily by writing online fiction, much of which is fan fiction. I also look after small wild animals (especially pigeons) both in my stories and in real life. I would like to start by bragging on my rather large Featherwing Love / Haibane Renmei / Doom 3 fanfiction trilogy FHD Remix located here:

I have the first "volume" FHD Remix: Three Worlds In One on BookRix (ironically, in five volumes) but my experience with BookRix hasn't been intergalactic enough for me to try it with anything else that is of this scale:

Featherwing Love Project was founded on 2009 February 1 with a vision I got while listening to the Cascada song, "Everytime We Touch" (album name, 2006 Zooland, an older, but significantly different version of this song was published in the 1992 Maggie Reilly album "Echoes") During this vision, I saw my first spectacular dual deployment of the creatures that I have been exploring the world of for the last two and a half years during the line, "Everytime we kiss, I swear I could fly." It looked a bit like this:

No, I did not draw the barbs the wrong way, they really are like that for this type of creature. Starting in 2009 May, I started having the unnerving experience of encountering music that seemed to be about my story, but after I had written the story, such that they could not possibly have provided the inspiration. Specifically for FHD Remix, I found an actual depiction in a music video for an instrumental song of the central event in the world of FHD Remix, with one of the story's characters there to watch the event. You can easily find this video on Youtube, but I must give the name of it with the caution that it could be a major spoiler for your experience of FHD Remix if you decide to read it (especially if you are already familiar with the worlds of Haibane Renmei and Doom 3 but not FHD Remix): it is called Antikythera Mechanism by BT, Track 6 of This Binary Universe. I don't want to post a direct link just in case it bypasses the spoiler warning. I've had several of these interesting encounters since then, but that one has yet to be topped. I have a list of them in this video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k8Q7BCB1kSc
That intro still makes me cringe, even though I spent a good hour on that ladder to get the screenshots, and must have fallen off it at least a dozen times (about half of which were accidental.)
One of these encounters that still gives me that wonderful creepy crawly feeling of being part of something larger than myself was when I my first blog at http://featherwinglove.blogspot.com crashed when my character's experience of Doom 3 was between the second and third stages of the game; in the elevator, she learns that "Tatakai" isn't just a code name, it is her true name. Two days later, I heard the song Nemo by Nightwish for the first time. I was already excited after the first verse, but the second opens with "My flower withered between the pages two and three" and the rest of that verse hit on four other specific points in the story and reduced me to a bawling puddle of ooze, realizing that I am both more creative, and less creative than I could have possibly imagined. Since that day, the famous overture Tuomas Holopainen still uses to provoke fans into raising the roof at concerts means "Tatakai is, Tatakai is, Tatakai is her real name." It took me about twenty minutes to get up from that one, but the Antikythera Mechanism knocked me out for an hour (alas, I was at a public library and scared the crap out of the total stranger sitting next to me.)
Life is fun!!!
Now that I'm addicted to the trippy feeling of having these encounters, I am constantly writing, with the idea that it'll increase their frequency. The latest was on July 16th of this year...
(Edit: fix a 'to' to a 2, and hit the watch checkbox )
