I wouldn't mind

First off, I can't wait to watch the transformers prime. 
But, I really would wish they could go back to Maximal and Predacons. I really want to see Cybertron. How it is during the beast wars era. I would love to see that environment. There is so much potential in creating a show like that. It doesn't even have to involve the maximals and predacons we know. It could be a prequel to Beast Wars or during. Though if it were a prequel, it would be cool to see cameos from Optimus, Rattrap, Dinobot, Megatron and all the others' what their lives were like before the Beast Wars.
The show could revolve around several different characters from both sides or recurring one character from the maximals' side and another from the predacons side who never meet.

For a long time I wished for a prequel to Beast Wars, but I suppose BotCon already gave us that with their Dawns of Futures Past comic... although it sucks how it's a con exclusive book. They should reprint the whole story as a trade paper back available in regular stores. But I'd really like to see a comic series that further explored other tales of Beast Wars -- like the origins of Depth Charge and Protoform X --- just WHAT exactly happened on Starbase Rugby and Omicron?? How did Depth Charge change from being a noble Maximal into the dark anti-hero that we see in the cartoon? I'd also like to see stories that makes further ties between Beast Wars, Beast Wars Second and Beast Wars Neo, because the Japanese series ARE meant to be in the same continuity as the Canadian series in an 'expanded universe' kind of way, much like how the G1 UK comics were intended to be in the same continuity as the US comics. At first I was happy to see IDW throw the Japanese characters in with The Gathering, cos for the most part it didn't break against continuity, but then The Ascending kinda screwed it up... blargh. I'd like to see a series that included all the BW, BWII and BWN characters without breaking cartoon continuity.
