Auto Assembly 2010 Announces Its Third Guest Of Honour

Unread post by tronprogram »

Europe's largest Transformers convention, Auto Assembly, has already confirmed ten guests for Auto Assembly 2010 including two guests of honour but we are now able to end months of speculation and confirm the identity of our third and final guest of honour and the second voice actor who is attending this year's convention...

The actor is... well, you're going to have to visit our channel on Youtube and watch the latest episode of our news videos to find out for yourself here -

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7M0TCTNxPqs

After watching the video, we're sure you'll all agree that Auto Assembly 2010 has the biggest and best guest line-up ever for Auto Assembly. Prior to this announcement, we already had two guests of honour confirmed (Garry Chalk and Derrick J Wayatt) and no less than 8 comic guests (Simon Furman, Nick Roche, Guido Guidi, Simon Williams, Liam Shalloo, Kris Carter, Jason Cardy and Kat Nicholson) and all our guests will be signing autographs and available to meet fans all weekend and each will take to the stage for a Q&A session during the convention.

The convention is taking place between Friday 13th - Sunday 15th August 2010 at the The Holiday Inn Birmingham City Centre, Birmingham, England. It will be a packed weekend featuring toy and art displays, dealers, comic guests, free autograph sessions, a video games area, free workshops run by many of our guests, dedicated childrens programming, video screenings and so much more to be announced! There will also be Friday and Saturday evening programmes, exclusive for weekend attendees and the Saturday evening will play host to a party, a concert by rock band Next Of Kin (including a Transformers themed set with music from the 1986 animated movie!), costume competition, our voice actors will take to the stage to perform a BRAND NEW script written by Simon Furman and we have a few more surprises in store...!

Because of the venue size, we are restricting attendance to a MAXIMUM of 550 people at the convention per day which can be made up of a combination of weekend and one-day attendees and once we hit that total we will be closing registrations so if you want to attend Europe's largest Transformers convention, you need to hurry and get your tickets now as we have already had over 230 pre-registrants with over 4 months to go!

Despite our running costs increasing for this year, we have frozen ticket prices from Auto Assembly 2009 and they are £45 for adults and £35 for children, students and senior citizens, with under 5s admitted free. Family tickets (2 adults and 2 children) are available for £145. Single day passes are available at reduced rates but these are VERY limited.

For more details on the convention, to see a full list of all the guests and activities taking place over the weekend, or to book your tickets, visit the website at www.autoassembly.org.uk

We hope to see you all in August 2010.

Its official. The Transformers Universe is conspiring to steal ALL of my monies! And at this stage I'm thinking its quite wise to let it :D

Scott and Gary, definite "must meets" so I don't think I have a choice in the matter
It's ok sir. I'll be fine...

Just listen to your commander, bonebrain!

No. No, you don't. I might be visiting Garry in July to go over some "top secret" business for AA, assuming he gets confirmation for it. When he let's me know if he can do it, then I'll let you guys (those of you attending) know what he and I are doing. Hopefully it will be much awesomeness. :D

Ooooohhh a super secret plan of.. erm.. secrecy :D I approve! Of course it will be awesomeness.. its you AND Gary.. I mean there's nothing missing from that plan.. ok.. maybe a jetpack, but all good plans need a jetpack... and an inflatable baseball bat... and a bag full of sand weighing exactly the same amount as a small golden idol... but thats it!.... Alright MacGuyver, there the plan is complete. So as long as you don't leave out any of those things, it will have a 120% success rate. Yep, 120... objectives that you didn't even know you wanted to achieve will take place. Yep... erm... large coke at the movies this late at night wasn't a good idea... hmmm... should probably sleep... or I could try fashioning Iron Man armour out of napkins and coke cans! :D
It's ok sir. I'll be fine...

This plan doesn't need a jetpack to be awesome! ...Okay, maybe it does.  Who knows, maybe even Scott will get in on the plan once they're there. ...Assuming Garry will be allowed to pull it off. My fringers are crossed. But even making the effort and coming up with the idea himself and approcahing me about it is why he is the BEST. 8)

AA looks like it's going to rock this year, moreso than BC, which still hasn't announced any guests and it's almost two months earlier! They're the only convention I know that is so incredibly slow to announcing guests. :? Boooo.

If it's the idea that Garry mentioned to me the other day then he's got the go-ahead for it. Otherwise, make sure he talks to me about it well in advance so I can make sure it can happen!

Oh, if you think Auto Assembly is looking good NOW, wait until you see what else we have to announce... we're nowhere near finished yet!!

Very excited Simon. I'll be travelling far and wide to see this auspicious ceremony so should be awesome :D

  OOP, glad I can be of entertainment. Of course, now I'll be completely disappointed if Gary does not rock up on the jetpack, with Scotty dangling underneath him doing some cool MacGuyver esque things and playing a kazoo solo (I know the kazoo wasn't a part of the original plan, but we have to keep up with the times ! :D )
It's ok sir. I'll be fine...

No, Mr. Plumbe, that would be it. This is Candice (in case he used my name). I just had a confirmation message from Garry late last night about it, and I thank you very much for giving me this opportunity!
Oh, if you think Auto Assembly is looking good NOW, wait until you see what else we have to announce... we're nowhere near finished yet!!
That is fantastic! It saddens me that I cannot attend. If only this stupid ocean wasn't in the way between our countries. I do hope that volcano in Iceland stops errupting by August...

It's nothing really extravagant, Nurann. Garry wants to try and sell some of my artwork at AA; I'm guessing at his autograph/photo table (I don't know how similar AA is to BC with this). So if anyone needs a conversation piece when they meet him, use my artwork! ...And maybe buy a print. Pretty please, with chocolate syrup and a cherry on top? I would be very grateful. If we print ones with any of Scott's characters, then you could have something for Scott to autograph as well! It's perfect, no? We're just trying to get my name out there. Garry and I need to go over the prices, so I'll get back you guys on that. If you do speak to Garry about my art there, please use my real name which is Candice Santora. I'm quite aware that we might not sell any, but I'm also optimistic about this plan of his. We might make them limited editions with both his autograph and mine on the prints. Does that make it sound anymore enticing?

Thank you so much, guys!! ♥

  at Silver! Well, then you take that up with Garry. I'm staying out of the jetpack deal. Although the kazoo would be comical...
