Armada&Energon Tag Team Tournament Final: Open!

With the Armada-&-Energon Singles Tournament Finals coming to a close later tonight, today kicks off the Championship Final Round of the A-&-E Conference Tag Team Championship Final Match. And it boiled down to Energon versus Armada, separators versus combiners-&-separators, and power versus power in this Championship round.
In one corner, having come farther than some would have expected, are the ancient guardians of secret Energon, Bruticus Maximus & Constructicon Maximus; two giants capable of separating their mitotic-spark bodies to swarm their enemies. But will this power be enough against their opponents in this round... Armada's most deadly Decepticon duo, Megatron and Tidal Wave?
This time, you only need to pick the winning team of the one match. As always, the trick is to pick the more realistic winner in this Championship Final, using the criteria that a win can be gained by (a) forcing a surrender from either member of the opposing team, (b) rendering either opposing team member unable to continue after a 15-second count, or (c) destroying the opponent. The profiles of both teams, and their respective roads to the finals, are here once again for a reminder:
Bruticus Maximus & Constructicon Maximus (Decepticon) – Ancient Combiner Guardians of Cybertron’s core-based Super Energon, now recruited into Megatron’s fold. Each has a unique method of Powerlinking in that each member separates into five separate transforming vehicular robots (though all five are governed by one mind), which can give them a numbers edge. Bruticus Maximus splits into five heavily-armed military vehicles: two helicopter gunships, two twin-cannon tanks, and an armored missile carrier. Constructicon Maximus divides into two cranes, two front-end payloaders, and a power shovel. Both have immense size, strength and endurance, though intelligence is about average.

{Defeated Hot Shot & Rodimus (Energon) (67%), Scavenger & Smokescreen (Armada) (100%), and Thrust & Sideways (Armada) (91%) to reach the Finals.}
Megatron & Tidal Wave (Decepticon) – Size, power, weaponry, armor; these two both have it to frightening degrees. Megatron, the brutal Decepticon Leader, transforms into a heavily-armored H-styled battle tank; robot mode uses a side-slung rocket launcher and generates electrical blasts from horn-shaped antennae. Mini-Con partner Leader-1 (who triple-changes from robot to attack vehicle to handgun) unlocks more offensive weaponry in both modes. Tidal Wave, the largest of the Armada Decepticons, transforms into a giant aircraft carrier with almost indestructible armor, capable of traveling through aerospace and on water; also splits into three armored watercrafts (troop transport, aircraft carrier, and multi-gun warship) known as his “Dark Fleet” mode. Tidal Wave can split apart and Powerlink to Megatron as body armor, which enhances their physical strength and bolsters their combined firepower to greater degrees. Megatron is clearly the brains of the team; Tidal Wave’s intelligence is severely lacking. In combined mode, Megatron may be forced to strain his own limitations to access Tidal Wave’s full destructive potential.

{Defeated Landmine & Prowl (Energon) (100%), Blurr & Sideswipe (Armada) (100%), and Optimus Prime & Jetfire (Armada) (54%) to reach the Finals.}
And, as in the other Tournament Finals, for those who feel a little creative, not only do you get to vote for the winning team, but this is your chance to write out a move-for-move description of how you think the battle between these dangerous duos will go! It can be long or short, concise or detailed. But make it a good and realistic battle, worthy of a championship final. Use the profiles and abilities of the combatants to whatever potential works the best, and keep them in character. And remember, in this battle, while Bruticus & Construction Maximus can separate their bodies and Megatron & Tidal Wave may also have their allowed Mini-Cons, those will be the only additional reinforcements they will be allowed to have, and no others. And no outside interference. And... no need to worry about the "hero always wins in the end" rule in the cartoons. But if you feel like adding a little extra to your written description of the fight -- anything from crowd reactions to making it a cage match -- if it works, feel free to do so.
To cast your vote for the winners of this Championship Final, you can e-mail me at excellence-execution@excite.com, reply right here in this thread, or even let me know in a Chat or IM. In the rare moment that we might talk in person or on the phone, casted votes also count there. As usual, you cannot cast your vote for the same match(es) more than once (yeah, an anti-ballot box-stuffing measure). A poll will also be added for those who just want to cast a simple vote without having to write up a post, or if you don't have time to write your description of the battle.
The deadline for voting and submissions will be Saturday, April 29, 7pm PT, shortly after which the results will be posted, along with some samples from any written battle scenarios, to be posted on all participating boards; The Underground Hangar, The TF Collectors' Club Forums, Ages 3 & Up's forums, and Beast Wars International.
