Something off beast machines. The first ever plant transformer. o_0 they should have left that idea out. But she did have affection for rattrap a lot.

The only reason why I noticed is because I've gotten the entire season of Beast Machines.

*waves and jumps up and down* I noticed!!! I thought it was kinda cool, actually. Albeit a tad... strange. Maybe it has to do with the fact that she's a plant-bot? I noticed that they were yellow and green, the same colors as most of her body, and, a general theme for plants overall (green leaves, yellow flower centers...).

I hadn't noticed it before (it's been a while since I last watched my Beast Machines tapes, and I can't get the DVD box set yet), but I can understand how Botanica would have different-colored eyes. Starath's point about the colors being akin to plant life actually makes a lot of sense, considering the nature of Botanica's character being a plant-bot. And maybe I don't get weirded out that often (unless it's something that's REALLY completely overwhelmingly wrong), but I've also met people in RL who had different-colored eyes (I knew a guy who had one blue eye and one green one), so a character who also had different-colored eyes wouldn't faze me much at all. 8)

Yes but the story was just so blah.... I watched 2 episodes and then went back to BW. LoL, I just didn't think it was that great.

Haha, Yes, I totally remembered...I'm one of the spazz's that liked BM! *waits for groans*

LOL, I have to say Botanica was my favorite character out of the entire show! Although, it's interesting to know that Nightscream, was suppose to be female in the original theories and sketches, and was suppose to be called, 'Bellabat'

You won't hear any groans from me, Venom. I also happened to like the show, too, even though it was quite different, but considering what was happening in the story, of course it's going to be different. Those who insist on calling it a "horrible" show should take a look at what's cluttering the TV airwaves right now, and see what a true horrible show is. 'Course, that doesn't mean everyone has to like it, but the constant bashing got old years ago.

Yes, I remember hearing about that, during the first-run airing of the series. I don't know if Bob Skir's old webpage notes are still online (if I can find them, I'll post a link in here to back it up), but I recall hearing that the original plan for Nightscream's character would have been similar to Newt from Aliens, before the concept was changed to something compared to John Connor in Terminator 2.

EDIT: Found it. Note #14, right here:

Getting back to Botanica, while not my favorite concept of a TF body style (it took a while for me to get used to a transforming plant-bot), at least it was a unique idea, along with the interesting note that she was voiced by Kathleen Barr, who was the voice for Dot Matrix, my favorite character in ReBoot.
