I'm okay... (Warning to those in Toronto/Ontario!!!)
Hey Folks, time to be serious for a change:
About an hour ago, my Toronto was issued a severe thunderstorm warning, followed by a TORNATO warning. It hit several spots in Toronto and the GTA (Greater Toronto Area), causing houses to be destroyed and roofs literally blown off (one resident even saw her air conditioner sucked out of her window).
Thankfully, my mom, my cats and myself were in the basement watching the news and calling our friends and neighbors to warn them/see if they're alright. My sister is at work, but she is safe. My mom was able to get through and got the Manager, who was up to date on the matter and was watching to news for updates.
Right now, we are still under a Tornato warning, but it is a bit clearer than it was earlier. The house is still standing and (of course) the power is on.
If there is anyone in the Ontario area, I urge you to keep an eye out on the news and inform anyone in the house or in the neighborhood to watch out if they aren't already. Good luck to all and STAY AWAY FROM GLASS WINDOWS!!!

*HUGS WW* glad ya okay. I had a tornado in Minnesota only like 25 mins away from my house, and a warning in the county I lived in. Cubic actually told me all the way from NC haha thanks Cubic. That was yesterday though.

Here at Bradford,we were very lucky that the Tornado passed us...all we got was two short thunderstorms and some wind....I was actually waiting for it to happen, but it didn't(Thankfully)
My dad and siblings where in Toronto when the whole thing happened, and had to drive the highway in that weather...well,they were fine throughout the whole trip, and the sky became very clear once they passed Vaughn...
I still don't know what happened to the storms in Newmarket as of yet.

Pretty scary, WW! I'm glad you're all right. I hope no one was killed or seriously injured.
I've only ever witnessed three tornadoes; two in the day and one at night (which are the most terrifying). I have to say, though, I think they're an awesome force of nature. I like watching them... at a safe distance... during the day.
I'd never live in Tornado Alley, though.
I have seen several cloud rotations, funnel clouds and green clouds; all of which are great warnings for hail and twisters. I live in Pennsylvania and they're not that uncommon, but I'm rather surprised that you had one up there in Toronto. Then again, I don't know the weather history up there except for the snowfall.
Is it just me or do the storms seem a lot more severe this year than usual?
One of my friends in Vancouver, BC said she witnessed a funnel at her place, and according to her they never have anything as wicked as tornadoes. Pretty scary stuff going on up there in Canada.
This entire week has been full of strong to severe thunderstorms, and looks like it'll be that way again tomorrow. ...Yay!
I love storms.
